"My husband and I recently attended the Safari room for our 11th anniversary,what a wonderful experience we had. They offered us a regular dinner menu also a prefix menu for $30.00. Food was outstanding, chef came out to see how everything was!We had a wonderful bottle of cabernet from the safari's room notable wine list. Overall great night out!! We will be back."

"The food was actually very good, however the winter menu selection was unimpressive. We also had to wait nearly 45 minutes for soup and a salad during a very quiet lunch service. The wait staff seemed to be underprepared for basic questions regarding the menu items that were available. Probably better during the summer, and the views were amazing."

"It was an exceptional Sunday afternoon luncheon. The view is stunning as well as the building. Our table was ready and nicely set. Linens, glassware, silverware all sparkled.The wait staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Our choice of appetizers and the main cousres were well presented and ever so delicious. The chef did a great job. Looking forward to my next dining experience at the Sarafi Room!"

"I didn't really get it. The Safari theme decor with thatched roofs and animal heads was kind of interesting, but mixed with ambient house music and a menu that didn't seem to feature anything safari-like left me shaking my head. There is a stunning view that is marred by the winterized patio structure and a scrub cedar hedge to hid the summer party deck. Our server was a bit sloppy and not really attentive. The food was okay. The scallops were gritty. I HATE that! I doubt we would go back - there are so many excellent options around Newport."

"Recently took a trip to Newport, RI, and came across the Safari Room @ OceanCliff on Opentable. Upon arriving this location is unbelievable, the building is warm and inviting. The Safari Room was so unique and charming, the staff was very accommodating. We sat at a corner table and had a spectacular view of the ocean, not to mention our food was prompt and tasteful! We would definitely recommend this restaurant!"

"This was my first time visiting the Safari Room, and my friends and I had a wonderful time. The Prix Fixe menu was a great value and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our server was great, very professional and helpful. We will definitely be returning here for Restaurant Week!"

"We were this summer for sundowners, and the view was spectacular!! we had the opportunity to return and even though it was a quiet Sunday and had to sit indoors the food was still outstanding. we had drinks at the bar with a gourmet clam pizza as an app, and then decide to order off the prefix menu,,,I had the halibut and my guest had the sirloin steak!!!,,Now it was a 16 oz choice sirloin NY strip with truffle potatoes and it was out of this world!!!
we will return this spring when they open the outside patio and offer their full menu..."
