Glad I finally made it. Great service and the ambiance was just RIGHT! Eater LA & Thrillist featured this restaurant when they first opened and I'm glad I kept them on radar. We had a cocktail that had Jalapeno it was delicious and refreshing. Our friends had the fried chicken and it looked juicy and had a very nice crust, the Macaroni & Cheese was pretty good too. Our finale was the Panna Cotta dessert and it was excellent. We chose it because of the outside dining and location. It turned out to be a perfect selection. The outside dining is wonderful! It's a perfect destination after visiting bustling and crowded Hollywood blvd. The food was good. I had the chicken which could have used a bit more seasoning. Our friends had the steak frites and loved it. I did feel that the description and taste didn't match up. It was bland. Cocktails are great but very expensive. They use a small champagne glass called the coupe. Presentation is great but you could easily have two without a thought. I will definitely go back. That patio is wonderful. Nice variety on the menu and I believe it was the owner, a very kind woman, who greeted me by name, graciously checked in during dinner, and gave a very sincere thank you when we left. It was nice to feel a genuine heartfelt appreciation as a diner in a restaurant in LA.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGood cocktails, good foodThis place didn't blow me away, but I'd definitely like to try it again and work my way through more of the cocktail list (plus get more of the amazing complimentary biscuits with bacon/coffee butter!). I recommend the flatiron steak, which was surprisingly tender, with no fat or gristle, so they must have a quality meat supplier, and also the malbec by-the-glass. Fried chicken with saracha butter was crunchy and delicious to. My date had the grilled chicken with vegetables-a great health alternative. We sat on the beautiful patio. It was quite busy when we were there and the food took a while to arrive (I think the waitress messed up) but the manager was extremely charming and sent us a dessert on the house. It ended up being a great meal..the salmon was delicious and the brussels sprouts are a perfect side dish. The biscuits are just too good.
