Verdant Tea has a new home in the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis. More than a tea house, our Minneapolis Tasting Room and Tea Bar is a tea shop, cafe, neighborhood hangout and collaborative event space, all-in-one. Whether you’re shopping for tea or meeting friends over a cup of chai, enjoying seasonally inspired breakfast and brunch or indulging in local ice cream, chocolate, and sweets, you’ll find our doors open, ready to welcome in new friends and neighbors. We make our food from scratch every day, and all of our ingredients are organic or sourced from local farmers. Our breakfast and lunch / dinner menus are inspired by the places we love. We are proud to serve Sweet Science Ice Cream. Minnesota’s favorite new ice cream is local, all-natural and available every day by the cup and by the pint. We offer a wide variety of daily pastries from the Birchwood Cafe, including their famous gluten-free vegan donuts.
Heartland Restaurant features North American Midwest Regional Cuisine that employs indigenous and cultivated ingredients from the American and Canadian Midwest to create a nightly changing menu that features two fixed price menus along with extensive a la carte selections. The sources for these ingredients are small family farms and artisan producers who practice traditional and sustainable agriculture. Chef Lenny Russo is a 2010, 2011 and 2012 James Beard Foundation Best Chef Midwest Nominee.

The Craftsman Restaurant serves up a unique dining experience. Come and enjoy Midwestern American cooking in a comforting and relaxing environment. The outdoor patio is the perfect place to enjoy the evening, chef Ryan Swaim's cooking, and perhaps a glass of wine or cocktail from the bar. Most of the food products come directly from the growers and producers, thereby eliminating the middleman. This doesn't mean that the food costs are less- usually they're more expensive, but it does ensure that suppliers are paid fairly for their crops and helps support and sustain the independent rural, agrarian economy. Most, if not all of the vegetable products, are certified organic. It's this commitment to quality that shows through the food at Craftsman.
