S Prime's features a delectable assortment of steakhouse classics as well as several unique specialties and an extensive Raw Bar sure to please even the most discerning palate. In keeping with the concept of resurrecting old world traditions, all steaks are aged on the premises in a climate controlled dry-aging room, a process which is rare in the modern restaurant industry.

  • "I REGRETTED THAT I PICKED THIS PLACE. IT WAS MY SON'S & MY COUSIN'S BIRTHDAY. I ESPECIALLY REQUESTED A NICE TABLE FOR 4 PEOPLE. IT WAS A THURSDAY NIGHT AND THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. LITERATELY TOTAL 5-6 TABLES. WHEN I SAW OUR TABLE I TURNED AND ASKED THE HOSTESS ARE YOU SERIOUS? RIGHT AWAY I ASKED FOR A BIGGER TABLE. WHAT SHE SHOWED ME WAS A JOKE BUT WE SET ANYWAY. ALL NIGHT I DIDN'T LIKE ANYTHING ABOUT THE SERVICE, SHE WAS HORRIBLE. THE FOOD WAS OK NOT GREAT FOR SURE. AND THE SERVER MADE FEW MISTAKES WITH OUR ORDERS. SHE APOLOGIZED MANY TIME FOR IT, BUT!!! THE WORSE WAS, THERE WAS A BIG TABLE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE RESTAURANT WITH ALL GUYS...THEY VERY LOUD, I MEAN VERY INAPPROPRIATELY LOUD. THEY WERE DISTURBING MY SPECIAL TIME WITH FAMILY."

  • "Went to S-Prime for Valentine's Day.. The pre-fixe menu was amazing and the price wasn't outrageous. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the 28 day aged rib eye that cut like butter. They were cooked perfectly. They gave us a complimentary glass of Moscato and a complimentary lobster bisque taster. The Bourbon Maple Pecan Pie a la mode was to die for. Will definitely go back more than once."

  • "We had dinner here on Saturday night. My husband and I have a favorite steakhouse in the city, but decided to try S Prime as it is close to home. We had a wonderful meal, and great service. Our waiter was great and did not over sell us when we asked his opinion on having two apps and salads. He was honest and we appreciated that..... The porter house was to die for! We will be back!"

  • "The food and service was quite good, but I feel that the menu was a bit overpriced for a steakhouse in Queens. I tried their signature aged ribeye ($65) and it was cooked perfectly, but I have to say I've had better cuts of steak in Manhattan for less money. I also would have liked some warm fresh-baked bread like every other premium steakhouse in NYC offers, but I came for the steak and left the restaurant pleasantly full and satisfied. The open-glass wine room in the rear of the dining area was a nice touch and really adds to the decor. All-in-all, I had a great experience and would rate S Prime as the best steakhouse in Queens, but due to price I would still prefer one of the top rated restaurants in Manhattan for special occasions."

  • "I really wanted to like this place. The atmosphere is great the food is just good. At this price range I simply expect more than good. Appetizers were very good, braised pork belly, clams casino and mussels (mussels were the best of the three). Porterhouse Steak was good, stuffed lobster was excellent. The sides were blah, I love creamed spinach and would avoid theirs, the parmesan fries were just not good and the onion rings were way to greasy. Very good wine list, heavy handed on the cocktails."

They are always friendly and the Exec chef makes a point to say hello to everyone which I find is an A+ in this business. There was nothing that we ate that blew my boyfriend and I away. However, the price tag at the end of the night did. Simply put, the food is not worthy of the price you will pay for it."

  • "Anything you choose off this menu is delicious. My husband and I have been there two times now and ordered completely different items. As we thought, everything was amazing. Our waiter was great and incredibly knowledable of the wine list and helped us choose a bottle that was perfect for us, he also helped me choose the perfect steak. We had the fois gras, hash browns, wild mushrooms, 16oz filet, and ribeye. Everything was not only cooked to perfection, but left us ready to plan our next lunch and/or dinner there. The chef, (always present) often comes out to see how your meal is and is kind and courteous. Even the hostess and valet guy were the sweetest people. Feels good to have such a great place, with an equally great staff."

  • "Dined at S Prime last night for X-mas Eve. This is a great new steakhouse in Astoria and we thought everything was excellent. From our crabcake and crab cocktail appetizers to the porterhouse for two. Nice wines by the glass list as well. Loved our sides of creamed spinach and brussel sprouts. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant's offerings. The chef came out to greet us and we chatted for awhile. That's always a nice touch. It turned out we both grew up in the same town and went to the same high school. Small world. Will gladly return."

  • "We got the SignatureSteak 28oz. 60day dry aged Ribeye. My wife and I shared it. We also got the LobsterMacncheese, fries and corn. The steak came out cut. Our waiter asked which piece (center or edge) each would like. This was helpful cause of our diff preference. The waiter than surprised me by beginning to serve us the sides. He asked first and began serving us some lobster mac and cheese, fries, etc. to make the complete dish. For a second I felt like I was at home. Great Service! Really good Food! We also ordered a few cocktails which were nice and strong. The place is pricey for the average person, since the cost of the steak itself would have been a meal for two, elsewhere but all in all a great experience and we were happy we went."

  • "Although the lighting is a little low here in this restaurant, and old eyes like mine have trouble seeing, especially in the dark, all of my other senses were super tuned to every other detail of my dinner. The smells emanating from the kitchen were just mini notes of the flavor explosion that was to come. We didn't order an appetizer, went straight for the aged steak. This was to save room for dessert. Our server, Marlene, took very good care of us, ensuring our hydration needs were met and exceeded. She was very capable of explaining all the different selections available. When the steaks (i got the ribeye and my wife the filet) were gone, the apple tart with vanilla ice cream came next. Deliciously hot with the cold ice cream on spot."

  • "I went for my second time. The service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. Very attentive, but didn't hover. The Chef was on the floor and working the door, also very warm and accommodating. The food was better on my first visit (a year ago). The steaks were huge and under seasoned. They didn't great a great crust, like Luger's. You get some burnt bits of coarse black pepper. The steaks were under cooked (I ordered rare, got black and blue. My date got a medium and it was more medium rare.). I wonder if they use choice meat, because there wasn't much flavor. The sides were okay. The garlic mashed potatoes were very runny and the asparagus was a little over cooked. The complimentary muscato was a very sweet touch."

  • "We had the filet mignon with asparagus and the diver scallop benedict. Both were excellent, they nailed the medium rare my beloved requested and the scallops were perfectly seared. The sweet potato chorizo hash was tasty and unexpected. The asparagus was still piping hot, which seems to be a rarity these days. Definitely recommend it for a date night or guy's night out. Will be going back soon!"

  • "Visited S Prime for a much-needed romantic evening out with the wife. The food was nothing short of excellent, (I'm talking about you, Cajun Ribeye). That evening we were treated to complimentary bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese before the main course and a glass of moscato afterwards. Both were quite nice, which I happily told the chef when he dropped by our table to check on us. Overall a great experience!"
