"We made a reservation for a private room ordered banquet menu. All the food was very good and portion was VERY large.
It was very quiet, almost feeling weird quiet.

"This is slightly Americanized Chinese food, but very competently prepared. It was a perfect spot for dining with an out of town friend staying at a neighborhood hotel, where conversation was more important than the food, and we were able to chat leisurely for 3 hours on comfortable chairs and widely spaced tables. That said, the shrimp dumplings were very tasty and the Szechuan pork belly spicy with fiery chilis and tender, so whatever deviations in certain dishes from what you might find in Flushing's Chinatown (the paper chicken was a bit tame) can be forgiven. Most definitely not a hot spot, and sometimes that is exactly what you want, as it was for me."

"we had a birthday party which was a chinese banquet for 12. They were extremely accommodating, giving us a private area and adjusting the banquet menu per our request. Service was excellent, with appropriate timing so that we were not inundated with too much food at once.

I'd do it again"

"Service was horrendous. No one came up to ask for drinks, we had to shout in order to get their attention and ask for tea. After they brought out the food, they pretend we don't exist. We continued to shout in order to get their attention to refill our tea and other drinks. I've worked in the food industry before and this kind of service is unacceptable especially when there were only few tables. Waiters were just standing around and chatting."

"On the lookout for a good restaurant near my office for a business luncheon, I was delighted to discover S Dynasty the other day. It's a quiet restaurant without loud music so a conversation can easily be held. Food and service are excellent, the ambience is warm, and the prices are quite reasonable. What more can one ask?"
