RyeAwesome dinnerVery interesting menu. We wanted to try everything on it and will definitely go back6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLocal is the new coolCauliflower and black lentil salad was perfection! The scallops were some of the best I've had and the crime brûlée was a nice ending. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and took into account all of our specific requests for changes to our orders with a smile. We met another couple for dinner for our first visit on a Friday at 6:30. It was approx. 1/2 full when we arrived and totally full by the time we left the restaurant and hour or so later.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful restaurant!! OurWonderful restaurant!! Our favorite by far in Louisville!!!!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMTOOK WIFE THERE FOR BIRTHDAY.TOOK WIFE THERE FOR BIRTHDAY. WE HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. FOOD , SERVICE, AND OMBIONCE WAS OUTSTANDING. EVERYONE WAS SO FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO TAKE TIME TO EXPLAIN MENU AND THE REST. CONCEPT. IT WAS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT IT WAS A SPECIAL OCCATION AND THE FOOD WAS WORTH IT.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMHip, tasty, and way too noisyAs recent transplants to Louisville, we've been checking out the restaurant scene eagerly. Rye is one of the few places that we may visit again. The menu is small, but we found many attractive options. Food is very good, not mind blowing though. It's probably one of the best in Louisville, though would be average in a more developed food city like Portland. Prices are high-- fish entree was $30.
Decor is loft style, exposed brick, exposed duct work. Nice to look at, but unbearably noisy. Not a place for conversation.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good, almost greatFirst time at Rye. The cocktails were very well done. Great oysters and the crab on toast points as an appetizer were very well done. The entrees (my wife had an Ono fish entree and I had a pasta with shrimp) were very good but not quite as subperb as the other elements. Definitely another fun dining option in Nulu.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of NuLu's quintessentiallyOne of NuLu's quintessentially "hip" restaurants, serving dishes that are well-crafted enough to warrant the somewhat self-satisfied ambiance. Their appetizers were phenomenal--the kimchi rice ball and hoisin pork lettuce wraps blew us away--but both of the main dishes were a little lackluster. Good, but not as incredible as the starters. Rye had a nice little small plates selection, so maybe next time we'll stick to those; several tables around us ordered them and they looked great. Their cheese plate dessert was spot-on--a great spread of cheeses with perfectly-paired flavors like pickled grapes, honey, and walnuts. The clientele was notably older than other restaurants in the area, with the average age around early- to mid-fifties.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place to eat for anyGreat place to eat for any occcassion! Try anything on the menu. You won't be disappointed.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious dinningRanked in the top 5 restaurants in Louisville in my opinion. Definitely pricey, but every bite and sip was worth it. Service was good, food was delivered fast and hot. Signature cocktails were delicious.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA GEMA little bit of NYC in Louisville. A menu that changes as the available local and seasonal items change so it is adventurous and I look forward to see what is new with each visit. Have been 4 times so far.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible... the staff wasIncredible... the staff was adaptable and accommodating, the food was delicious, and the selection was well balanced. I love the seasonal menu, I'm sure they could easily find an audience for more vegetable-based dishes, though I would also welcome further innovations on the Scotch Egg theme. We'll definitely be back.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service and food qualityThe service and food quality is near the top inj Louisville. The portions were excellent for the price, and our server was extremely knowledgeable on the food and wine.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMUnbeatable serviceHouse made syrups make their drinks delicious. Non-alcoholic Ginger Beer was a big hit with the husband. We had an issue due to a dietary restriction on one of our entrees and the staff replaced it within 5 minutes at no charge. Highly recommend this place!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA must!!!Everything is fresh and the signature drinks are a must!!! Wait staff is both friendly and knowledgeable!!!3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMOur New Favorite RestaurantThis is our second visit to Rye and we enjoyed it as much as the first. This time we brought our extended family for a birthday celebration and the staff did an excellent job serving a large group. We love the cheese and charcuterie boards and the Potato with Spring Ramps Soup is not to be missed. The culinary staff at Rye deserves every praise for their inventive dishes with pleasing presentation and tasty flavors. If you are in the Louisville area I recommend dinner at Rye. You will not be disappointed.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMCool vibe, great foodSmaller menu but everything executed with excellence. Four of us had apps, cocktails, and dinner and all was great - loved the beet cocktail! They obviously care about what they cook here.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMJust what we were looking forRye was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time. Some local folks had told us it was a cool place and the food was great. But what an understatement!! Pickled tempura veggies, a meat and cheese board that was melt in your mouth and craft cocktails we will go back for. A very special place to visit! Should be higher on top places to dine in Louisville.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMLick your plate clean mealMy husband and I visited Rye for the first time the other night. It was fabulous! The food was fantastic with a mixture of flavors that we're very different from some other restaurants. I disagree that portion size is too small. I think it was perfect. I am small and rarely can eat everything but my husband and I polished off the entire plate. We even had dessert which is rare for us. OMG! Dessert was wonderfull! We are looking forward to future trips there.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMrye great food ambiance and serviceRyan has the ambiance and vibe of a neighborhood restaurant in Manhattan. The quality, presentation and the food also match. The staff are professional yet at the same time make you feel comfortable. It's a great addition to the vibrant Louisville restaurant scene.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
