Ruth's Chris Steak House - West Palm BeachFantastic as usualI have been to many steak houses around the nation, but I have yet to find a better tasting steak than at Ruth Chris. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. This time I had a Porterhouse for ONE and despite the huge size (40 oz.) the steak was cooked and prepared to perfection. Service is just simply awesome and very professional. Food is always consistent. The waitress we had was awesome. She took a picture of our group with her camera then went to the back and printed it for us before we left. N.Y. strip steak that we ordered to be cooked "medium". It was tough, dry and very disappointing. It was nowhere near the quality that was expected.
The other dishes, Ruth's Chris chopped salad, stuffed mushrooms, the vegetable plate consisting of broiled tomato, spinach au gratin and sweet potato casserole (the best in the world) were excellent. Our waitress, Jen, was one of the nicest and most efficient ever. My wife and I both had steaks (Filet and Ribeye). Both were perfectly cooked and served with melted butter on sizzling plates. Great cuts that were simply delicious. Although the wait staff were a little bit unattentive, it did not detract from the food. The service,food,ambiance was excellent. The Chef's Classic menu is a good value as you get an appetizer,entree,sides,and dessert for about $50.00. The West Palm location is beautifully decorated with an open feeling due to the high ceilings. The tables are set far enough apart to ensure privacy. The wine selection is good,and the server knew about each one! Our last visit in March 2013 was simply phenomenal, even better than usual. I had the filet, which was perfect (thank you for knowing how to cook a steak "medium"), and their delicious Caesar salad. My wife had the stuffed chicken. Generally speaking, of course, ordering chicken in a high-end steakhouse should be frowned upon, but it was really, really good. Throw in some sides, a tasty cheesecake dessert, and Jennifer -- who was such a fantastic waitress that my wife insisted on calling the manager over to say so -- and you've got a night to remember.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat You Would Hope ForThis was our first trip to a Ruth's Chris, and we were very pleased. Everything from the service to the food was on point. We ordered from the prix fixe menu within the main menu, and were pleasantly surprised with the quantity of food. The "individual" side was big enough to share, and the dessert was the perfect size (not hideously huge, like some restaurants). The only flaw in the evening was when we were being led to our table, which was to be on the "second" level. Host staff should have asked if this was acceptable before taking us to the bottom of the stairs (just because someone looks able-bodied, doesn't always mean they are). Their sides are great, except for no onion rings.
