  • "My husband and I don't get out very much because we need a babysitter but we love coming here. The service is always impeccable and we never feel rushed. We tend to ask for things a very specific way (e.g., extra crispy shoestring fries) and it can be quite a challenge to get it right. They never mess up our orders and the steaks are always cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and the ambiance is nice and subdued."

  • "I went for a business dinner, total party of 3, had a reservation, restaurant was empty yet we were told our table would still be a few minutes and we could wait in the lounge. I didn’t like that little push to go into the lounge. 2 of the folks had steaks and they said they were good but not outstanding, I happened to have the shrimp and it was just terrible, there was so much salt on it I just couldn’t eat it and rather than grilled they appeared steamed, very bad choice on my part perhaps I should not have ordered seafood in a steak house. I just expected more from such a well-known establishment. I’ve been to many fine steak houses in the past in this by far would rate the last on my list."

  • "We have dined at other locations of this chain and enjoyed the food - however, we were very disappointed with our dinner here. The food was not good-we realize this is a steak house but even the steaks were not prepared properly. A medium rare streak arrived medium well. The chicken tortellini soup was a watery broth with little chicken and raw carrots. One diner ordered a shrimp entree that was awful. It was supposed to be barbecue shrimp on a bed of garlic mashed potatoes. It turned out to be shrimp swimming in a undefined sauce that drowned the potatoes. The prices are ere compared to other local steak houses. GWe find the food far superior at either The Capital Grill or Fleming's."

  • "We were sat in a romantic booth and had great food. Unfortunately our waiter and his assistants were assigned our table and a party of 20. He paid more attention to the party of 20. For example, We asked our waiter for additional bread while we were waiting for our appetizer. None was delivered. Later when an assistant refilled our water glasses, we again asked and was given bread. When we finished our appetizer, our waiter and his assistants were busy taking both food orders for the table of 20 and we had to wait till he finished taking orders, filling both wine and water glasses till someone paid attention to our table. I would say the food was great, but our service was poor."

  • "I have eaten at several Ruth's Chris locations and find the food wonderful and did again on this occasion. It is the first time I have been disappointed with the service. The meal arrived and we never saw our waiter again. Actually, I saw him at several of the surrounding tables, but he would not even make eye contact for a second glass of wine or to see if there was anything else we needed. Not a fatal flaw for the restaurant, I'll continue to go to Ruth's as it is great food, but the service on this instance was marginal at best. I probably noticed even more because it was such a surprise to have a mediocre service experience. Better luck next time I guess."

  • "The service at this Ruth's is simply the best. They go out of their way to please you and make you feel at home. The foot is always cooked to perfection and served so hot and fresh. The tuna is the best. For it with the sauce on the size and you can see how perfect it's always cooked. If you want to try the best most flavorful chicken you have ever had get it. I know Ruth's is a steakhouse but the chicken is a desert you should try once in your life. Steaks are incredible and if you don't like as much butter just tell them. It's getting warmer so you can done outside as well. Well managed and always consistent is Ruth Chris Tyson's. The best."

  • "From the moment I arrived (customer service driven Valet), to the entrance into the restaurant (greeted with a smile and a warmth that said "we are glad you are here") to the greeting at the table (wait staff was a 10)--I was overjoyed that my business colleague had chosen that venue to have dinner and business meeting. Feening for steak, I ordered the petite filet with no accoutrements...just steak, medium rare. It was still cooking when it arrived and the aroma.....when I finally bit into my first slice, my eyes closed and my body hummed...PERFECTION. From the first bite to the last, the melody continued! The sides were a perfect compliment (creamed spinach and sweet potatoe casserole). Would highly recommend."

I went this year for DC Restaurant Week, however, and I feel like the sides were sub-standard, and the steak was a little over cooked (I like it medium rare). It was all still delicious, and worth the flat rate of $35 for Restaurant Week. Service was excellent. It might have been partially psychological, because I have some fantastic family memories of the northern NJ and NYC locations. All in all, great food...any restaurant where you can smell the butter right when you walk in is OK in my book!"

  • "Food was good overall but I'm not sure it was worth the higher prices. I think Great American Restaurants have superior food at much lower costs. The steak was great but I was really disappointed in the sautéed mushrooms. It has been awhile since I went to a Ruth's Chris and they were definitely not like I remembered. In my opinion the sautéed mushrooms at Outback Steakhouse are far superior. We went out for a special occasion and wanted to treat ourselves but I wish we had just gone to one of our regular family restaurants, saved $150+ and enjoyed a better meal."

The "Chef's Choice" prix fixe menu is a very good value. We were underwhelmed by the stuffed mushroom appetizer and the broccoli gratin, but all other sides were excellent...particularly the crispy fries! Disappointed that lamb chops still not available but it's hard to say much when waiter says that a quality supplier hasn't been found. We are glad that Ruth's Chris keeps its high standards!"

  • "My husband and I had been looking forward to a steak dinner for quite some time and had enjoyed the Tyson's Ruth's Chris several times in the past. Our server was attentive, but while my filet mignon was fine, my husband was having trouble cutting his ribeye. It was really thick and had a lot of gristle. on the edges. He was extremely disappointed. I told him he should ask for another, but he just sawed away and ended up leaving half of it. He also complained that the sauteed spinach was cold and the shoestring fries were also cold on top (I agreed, but am not fussy). I'm afraid we may not go back."
