The entire staff from the friendly valet, hostess, bartenders, to the best server I have ever had, everyone was courteous and knowledgable. The food was incredible. Our waiter, Thomas, and the manager, Kristy, were wonderfully welcoming and gracious. We absolutely felt their commitment for everything to be “right,” and virtually everything was. Our food was excellent and prepared just the way we requested. Over-all service was excellent, and my special needs were attended to, as well. Great advice on wine & food selections, water glasses refilled and empty plates cleared immediately yet unobtrusively, and the food was excellent as expected. Next time I think I would order my steak less done than I really want it because it continued to cook on the very hot plate and the last few bites of my Petite Filet were more like medium well rather than medium rare. Also a very impressive wine sommelier who remembered meeting us two years earlier when he worked at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville! The steaks did not come up to expectations, but expectations were high based on their reputation and price. The petite 8oz steak was overcooked for medium rare; the 11oz steak was about right. The texture of both was not melt in the mouth, as I expected - not so disappointing as to be complaint worthy, but I have eaten better steak. However, the appetizer seared rare tuna was delicious and the green beans with garlic also. Wine by the glass was of excellent quality! We happened to have two "energetic" tables alongside ours. However, when my family went there for brunch on Sunday I decided to try something different. I got the stuffed chicken. Wow! It was mouth-watering, the absolute best chicken I have ever had in my life. Now the problem will be what to choose on my next visit to Ruth Chris. The filet or the chicken. Either way you can't go wrong! I love everything about this restaurant. I am partial to the South Park location. Elaine was gracious and found me a table right away, even without a reservation. My service from Sarah was wonderful and I was impressed by her wine choices.
