Ruth's Chris Steak House - San DiegoEstatic that we gave it another tryFirst time eating at Ruth Chris in San Diego and were happy that we gave it another try. We ate at the one in Walnut Creek, Ca but were very disappointed, At the one near the Harbor everything was awesome. The steaks were cooked to perfection and we are happy that we gave the chain another chance,5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food as always. EvenGreat food as always. Even though we made reservations took about 30 minutes to be seated.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMlovely timeA great place with a awesome view and a spectacular staff ... the food is unparalleled and a always a pleasure to dine at.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNo Ka OiThat means it's the best in Hawaiian. Every Ruth's Chris I've been too is consistent with food quality, service and ambiance, especially San Diego. No body does it better, thank you for a beautiful Mother's Day.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome as usual!Ruth's Chris has established themselves a top-notch restaurant suitable for every occasion. This is one of the few restaurants where I do not mind the price of menu items because they have created a value that far exceeds the price.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOur grown family of 6 wentOur grown family of 6 went to Ruth's to celebrate Mother's Day last Saturday nite. They originally tried to seat us in a back banquet type room full of tables of anywhere from 8-20+ people. We asked to be re-seated and they kindly seated us in the main dining room. While the food and service were nearly excellent, the ambience was lacking. I believe much of this was due to the feeling that there were several extra tables added to handle the crowds which really affects the overall experience. In addition, because of the nature of the menu (and the awesome food) everything is a la carte, so there are many plates on the table which is way too small to accommodate them. Fewer, larger tables would mean 2 more stars for ambience!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic as always! My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary and it seems that this is our special celebration restaurant since we go almost every year for our anniversary. My only issue was that they had run out of their famous corn pudding so we ordered another dish instead. The food is consistently superb and the we even got to see the sunset. Great evening!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious as always!!My wife and I went here for my birthday (we're in our early 30's). We shared the lobster bisque, and RC makes one of the best in town! She got the filet and I had the ribeye; both were absolutely amazing!! Great flavor as always, and very tender. For our side we couldn't decide between the garlic mashed potatoes and the au gratin potatoes, so our waiter hooked us up with au gratin mashed potatoes...they were delicious! I didn't expect them to do anything for my birthday, but they were nice enough to bring out a strawberry cheesecake that had an oreo cookie crust. It was absolutely incredible. I don't know if that's on their normal menu or just for special occasions, but when we go back again, we're definitely getting it!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMRuth's Chris is one my favoriteRuth's Chris is one my favorite and this one is one of the best with a great view of San Diego Harbor, great service, and great food.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSuperb meal. A great dinner at Ruth's Chris!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Steak with a ViewAgain we had a splendid meal and service. We were celebrating a birthday and as usual over the years, they do not forget to serve you with a desert when you have a special occasion. All that and a view of the Bay, North Island and Point Loma.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, but the service...was just not up to par this time. We've been to several of Ruth's Chris' locations, and have been to this one quite a few times over the years whenever we're in town. The food and service are usually outstanding. However, the service was not up to Ruth's Chris' usual high standards this time around. Although our server, Ricca, was very nice, she was inexplicably inattentive, especially since it wasn't busy at the time. We've come to know what to expect from Ruth's Chris. The long wait to order everything including getting our check, would not have been acceptable at any other restaurant. Definitely not here. I really hope the quality of service returns to what it used to be, to what it should be.3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAs it always is, our experienceAs it always is, our experience at Ruth's Chris was everything we hoped it would be, and more. Still my favorite place, with the best steak, in San Diego (and I've tried just about all of them over the past 30+ years.)3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMy husband and I are hugeMy husband and I are huge fans of Ruth's. We visit them in every city! Our waiter, Blake, was amazing! He made an ordinary night out for dinner extraordinary! One of my favorite restaurants.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed our experience. GreatEnjoyed our experience. Great food, great service.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great food, alwaysAlways great food, always great service. This was our second visit to Ruth Chris and we enjoy coming here.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSteak and Sin CakeWe were very, very thankful to have our Sin cake! We have been going there for many years. Missed out Sin cake for a couple of events. We told them.....and they brought the Sin cake bake just for our family. Now, steak......the best around! I went on a funky diet and occasionally have a free day. The filet was out of this world!!!! Wife and most of the kids (adults) had filet or NY. We all walked away very satisfied and very, very happy with the great steak!!!! Will we go back? Heck yes!!!! I forgot to mention, what does steak and Sin cake have in common? Both go great with red wine!3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Steaks in San DiegoThis is one of the better, if not the best, higher end steak houses in San Diego, especially with a view of the North Bay, etc.
The steaks are "sizzling" hot and the service is attentive but not overbearing.
A great place to celebrate a special occasion.1/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
