  • "I have eaten at Ruth's Chris several time in the past and the steaks have always been great, but this time, there was way too much salt on our filets. The salt overpowered the flavor of the steaks. Everything else was fine, but the main reason to eat here is for the steaks. I wish I had brought this to the attention of the manager or server at the time, but I did not. I may give them another chance in the future, but not sure. "

  • "Once again an excellent experience at Ruth's Chris with my 16 year old son. He loves the lobster appetizer. I had the ahi tuna appetizer which was decent but the salt on the fish and the mustard-soy sauce overpowered the lightly flavored tuna. We both had excellent caesar salads. We shared the porterhouse for two. He ordered some french fries with dinner which were soggy and pretty tasteless. We both shared their amazing cheesecake."

  • "I liked that our bottle of wine was taken at arrival for decanting; it was ready and waiting at our table when we were seated. Because we were early we were directed to the bar but it was very crowded, but at the moment our reservation time arrived we were taken to our table -- I like that they respect the meaning of a reservation! The rib eye was good & juicy, big enough for two but the mushroom side dish was bland. The chocolate thing at the end was good but not great. Dinner for two, including the $15 corkage fee, was about $150 before tip - a lot, but it was a special occasion. Our waiter was excellent - attentive but not so much in evidence that he bothered us. We were not rushed which helped make our evening a success."

  • "We expected Morton's of Chicago. This is not the same level of food quality. The $57 steak and lobster tail was disappointing. The flame-broiled beef was oily and too fatty and the lobster was mealy, not firm. The asparagus was bland and the hollandaise sauce flavorless. The baked potato and desert were excellent though. The wine list was impressive and the service was impeccable."

Our meals were excellent, I've not had a ribeye that tasty in my life....and i eat a lot of ribeyes. My wife had the salmon, and suffice it to say she rarely cleans her plate....she all but licked it!"

  • "We enjoyed a very romantic Valentine's dinner here. Our table was ready on time. Everyone was very friendly and professional. We immediately noticed the menu contained almost 3 times as many wines than food choices. The food was prepared as requested. Everything tasted great Pricing was a bit high but matched the quality of food and serviced expected for the price. They even gave free single long stem roses to the women. Overall it was an excellent choice."

This was not our first visit, so we did expect the best, particularly with the expensive cost. Although they did have a great Steak & Lobster dinner priced very reasonably. Maybe they couldn't put the time they do into the usual dinner they serve."

I've been hearing so many good things about this restaurant for years, and this past Valentine's Day, my wife & I finally got to discover it for ourselves. When comparing this to other upscale steakhouse chains, I would still prefer Morton's or Fleming's for the food and the service, but on the surface, Ruth's Chris has a nice feel to it."

For a few years now I have been hearing that this place is a 'must try', especially the steaks. Now that I have been, I recommend passing on this one....unless you can get into the bar. It did look lively and fun in there but I can't imagine the food tastes any differently sitting there."

  • "Another fabulous dinner at Ruth Chris. I had let them know it was our anniversary when reservations made. When seated at the table, it was strewn with rose petals - very special touch. All staff were very attentive but never overpowering from the moment we arrived and through out the evening. They know how to do customer service. We ordered a cocktail to share and it was delivered in two glasses - nice. Food was great, perfectly cooked steak, fabulous lobster mac and cheese. A complimentary dessert with Happy Anniversary and a candle topped it off. Will definately be back soon."

  • "This particular visit, we both got the filet Mignon and it was excellent. Server was very nice but he was gone very long periods of time. Over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. His promised 5 minutes which turned out to be more like 16 minutes. Would recommend this restaurant but beware the service is very hit or miss and the attention to your food special requests, and temperature request is 50/50 at best. Meal for two with appetizer and two beverages is almost $200. They should read their reviews and work on improving their service. Water glass empty many times and had to catch a bus person who walked by not making eye intact to fill our water several times."

They did forget one of the sides, but they took off the fee of the other upgrades. We had an excellent Christmas dinner and were stuffed with left overs to go!"
