  • "Came with hi hopes and left with a stomach ache. Ordered Raw Oysters, when they arrived you could smell that something was bad. Picked my way through only to find that I ate a bad one. When I asked the waiter, he replied that that is normal for Raw Seafood, guess being from FL and eating Raw Seafood for 45 years doesn't count. Not to let that ruin are meal, we order the Staple for this restaurant, Lobster Bisque and Filet. Lobster Bisque was watered down, but the Filet was good. My Sons Fried Shrimp was okay, a little tough but good for a 4 year old. Having eaten at many other establishments with the same name, I was very disappointed. Hope they get their act together, one bad Oyster ruins it for the whole Chain Name. !"

  • "We were presently surprised at the comfort level of the dining room. We will return to try some other menu items. The Caesar salad was delicious and was nicely sized (I like a lot of salad). We shared a 16 oz. New York Strip; one of us loved it and the other thought it had too much fat. The 500 degree heated plates they served the strip on were amazing. I like my food to stay hot! We also shared a Loaded Baked Potato which came naked with fixings on the side which allowed us to enjoy the potato half the way we like it. The Cheese Cake slice we shared was the best with some berry sauce for one and berries for the other -- this suited our eating preferences as well. The Service was excellent and very friendly!"

  • "I took my wife for her Birthday because we had never been before. Needless to say she both came in and left excited. The food was excellent. The steaks were cooked to exactly the right temperatures. I can't say I've ever had a steak that amazing before. Yur service was impeccable. The waitress was attentive but not intrusive. She was knowledgeable and curteous. The atmosphere was great. I will be going back."

  • "Unbelievable food, great service. We have never been disappointed with Ruth's Chris food, service, or anything else. My girlfriend and I went here for a week late valentines and had a wonderful dinner. I had surf and turf while she had salmon, both were perfectly cooked and delicious."

  • "My fiance and I had just become engaged, we were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations and seating. Adam was a great server, a memorable one, and very friendly; reminded me of a member from Blink 182 and that added some character. The atmosphere was a little less admirable compared to the Cary location, but I did enjoy the dark setting (which the Cary location did not have, if I remember correctly.) Overall great experience."

  • "We reserved for the Saturday after Valentines day. We were seated in one of the small side rooms. I prefer the main dining room. I noticed several couples were very casually dressed and was disappointed that the dress code was not enforced. I was dressed up and felt a bit out of place...it cheapened the experience I was looking forward to."

  • "The ambiance and staff were amazing and made the dining experience. I had the Bellini as my cocktail, which was very good. For my meal I choose the petite sirloin and Au gratin potatoes. The steaks are cooked on a broiler, not my favorite way to have a steak prepared- I am a bit of traditionalist and prefer to have a grilled steak. The steak is served on the broiler plate so it stays searing hot forever. The broiler creates char on the outside of the steak but no in a good way. Overall, the steak was mediocre and far not worth the $40 (just for the steak). The Au gratin potatoes were homemade and very delicious. Overall, for the price I would probably go back and try something besides a steak, which is sad as this is a steak house."

  • "Just wife and me. Waited about 20 minutes after reservation time for seating. Total time from entry to exit was 3 hours. Noted slacking dress code - jeans, polos not tucked, etc. Had Calimari for starter, each of us ordered salad, steak and side. I had baked potato and she had Julliane potatoes which are simply steak fries with no seasoning. We each had tap water and I had two bottled beers. The meal was good but no more so than Longhorn, Lonestar, or Ribeyes. Service was very good, but not extraordinary. Total bill was about $170 so tip pushed to $200. All in all this is a "once in a lifetime experience" for us here. Though the food is good, this experience is more about being an event which there are better options for the value for us."

  • "I had never been to this restaurant although had heard much about it. I eat out regularly and enjoy a good meal. While the servings were plentiful, the price was not justified. I will probably not find here again, as I can probably find comparable steaks elsewhere for 1/2 the price!!"

We have been to some others in the area and why they always live up to expectations, the North Hills location is our favorite. If you get the chance request Vernon as the server for your table.   • "We had reservations for 5:45 PM but got caught in traffic. I called in to let them know it would be closer to six so they could rearrange, and they were ready for us when we got there. When we arrived we saw that they were giving each lady a longstem rose. Our server greeted quickly he was very friendly and he was very knowledgeable. He was attentive and on point the entire meal. Everything was just as it should be. I was worried knowing that they would be so busy on Valentine's Day but they were prepared and on the ball you, would never have known that it was one of the busiest days of the year. Every member of the staff that we encountered was very professional. The food was to die for. The atmosphere was very nice."

  • "My V-day experience at Ruth Chris was amazing initially, the staff was very warm and welcoming and our waiter Adam was outstanding and very knowledgeable. To make a long story short my wife ordered a steak well done it came to the table medium rare and she can't stand the site of meat in the raw form. So we sent the steak back. The same steak came back out medium and that just sent her appetite packing and by that time I was already done with my meal. I understand this is probably not the norm for this place maybe it was the fact that they had a full house. Overall it was not a great experience for my wife and I."

  • "I had 8:30pm reservation. Had a great evening. Had a meal that cost 144 dollars and some changed. Then checked my acount and charged me 33.00 more than my receipt said. Had a great evening until then. I will be calling them tomorrow. Our waiter Vernon was excellent. This leaves a bad taste in my mouth."

  • "We've made this an anniversary tradition for the second year in a row - and our anniversary just happens to fall on triangle restaurant week, so we get the great food for a great deal! The filet steak is honestly the best we've had in the Triangle, and we've tried several other notable steak restaurants in the area. Our service this time was EXCELLENT! We asked to move to a more central table, not one tucked away, and they happily obliged on a busy evening. Our waiter was awesome and understanding of our movie time following dinner. And the chocolate sin cake...OH MY! Also the best dessert we've had in the Triangle! Thank you for a wonderful anniversary experience two years in a row! We'll be back!"

  • "We started out waiting 40 minutes for our reservation in the lobby that had no chairs while constantly being in the way of servers/hostesses. When we did get sat, we got the crappiest table in the place. It was the first table from the lobby area so all the people waiting could watch us eat and we got the arctic breeze from the door on our feet the entire time. The manager did stop by and acknowledge that it was a crappy table. The food was fantastic! We got steak and scallops, both cooked perfectly. Got the cheesecake for dessert, the perfect amount of sweet and rich. It was restaurant week which I'm sure made things more hectic but I was disappointed none the less. I was hoping for something more romantic/special for spending $100."

  • "This was my first time eating at Ruth Chris. I was so excited as I have always wanted to go. I love STEAK. My steak was very good but other items were lacking. I ordered a salad with blue cheese, apples, and walnuts. The salad was soggy and the apples were brown and soft. The cheesecake was also a joke. A very small piece covered with sour cream. The server stated that it came with fresh berries. I had 3 drops of juice, no berries. The French press coffee was a treat but at $5/cup, it should have been. So, for the price of our dinner, I was disappointed. I will not return."

  • "I really enjoyed eating here for the first time this weekend. The night started off rocky because our 8:30 PM reservation was not honored in a timely manor. We were not seated until 9 PM and no one apologized to us. What's the point of making a reservation? The food and service made up for the rocky start. I recommend the scallops!"

Food was just a 2 out of 10 stars for the prices they charge. They do not even give you a free desert for your birthday. Would only go back if we had a gift card or someone else paid for it."

  • "Turned away by the valet. Hmmmm. Would have expected a prior mention by someone. Also delayed seating. Manager provided comps for both problems. Over the years, RC has run hot and cold IMHO. Once seated, this proved to be one of their better locations."
