It was a very good experience and the service was excellent. The only problem was that my son ordered his steak medium and it came out medium well. It was a bone in filet and he ordered it with the blue cheese crust so that may have added to the increase in temperature. All things considered it was a great night and everything else was perfect. The sides are extremely small for their hefty price, they've diminished in size over the years and the price has just gone up. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were definitely the high point of the meal. This place used to be such a standout and now falls to the much more moderate establishment - just sad. Almost everything is just over priced. I visit several restaurants in the same category as Ruth's across several large cities across the USA - their steaks are as good or better and their sides are cheaper and much larger in quantity. It was a part of the entrance hall but we liked this spot very much. The service was very good and we enjoyed the shrimp cocktail and steaks very much.

Watch out for the plates, they are quite hot. Just asku finger, it still smarts. When the wait staff says "The plates are hot" several times I should have listened better. The best service is when the waiter sees I have burned myself and without being asked and without making a scene, brings some burn cream just in case.
So, great food, great staff, attentive management, with a great location. Definatly on my short list of best food stops.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
