  • "This was a last minute dinner choice and we couldn't be happier with the service and food. We were supposed to be dining at another restaurant in Ponte Vedra (PV Inn and Club Seafoam Dining Room) and got bumped (with NO warning or apology) for a wedding party. Instead of eating at the grill the hotel tried to stick us in without asking, we jumped on Open Table and booked a table for 8:45 p.m. that same day at Ruth's Chris. We were greeted warmly by everyone who worked at Ruth's Chris, from the hostess to the waiter to the person who filled our water glasses. We were the last couple to leave that night and had a fabulous meal, wine, etc. So happy we went and plan to go back!"

  • "Celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Ruth's Chris. We have been celebrating our anniversaries there for a number of years. Outstainding and attentive service without the wait staff being too "fussy" The rib eye steaks and sides we ordered were cooked as we desired. The management honored us with a complimentary desert which was deliscious. We enjoyed the Silver Oak Alexander Valley cab. We had a taste testing at the Silver Oak Alexander Valley vinyards last summer and were familiar with the cab and the year. The markup on the bottle compared to order prices from Silver Oak was reasonable and what one would expect from a fine restaurant.. Would highly recommend the restaurant for special occasions and business dinners."

  • "We always think about what to order and always end up ordering the cowboy rib-eye--what a fantastic steak! We are never able to finish it so we then take it home to have it for breakfast with eggs the next morning. The service was terrific and the team effort to keep us well served is evidence of the fine training Ruth's Chris does. Yes, it is expensive but what a wonderful meal and ambiance. We actually started the evening in the bar. Usually the bar is so crowded that we can't sit down and I don't enjoy standing with a drink. This night we got a high top and sat and enjoyed people watching with some drinks. Another wonderful evening at Ruth's Chris."

  • "We went on Saturday February 15 and it was still packed like it was the 14th. We normally enjoy RC but here is why i do not recommend for Valentine's Day/Weekend: 1) Squeezed tables into every open space. Right on top of the tables next to us. Kills the romantic vibe. 2) Waited several minutes for service of any kind. 3) Already been seated with menus in hand for 20 minutes, but he walked away after uncorking without asking if we were ready (he said he 'wanted to give us some alone time' ha!). 3) 10 minutes later we were finally able to order entrees and he repeated the order back (felt like a fast food thing to do). 4) Despite this, he forgot the dessert included with the pre fixe option (i had to remind him once my dessert was ordered)."

Atmosphere - low lighting, comfortable noise level, an upscale ambiance with a casual underlying vibe (beach...golf course clubhouse...etc). Wait staff - professional and knowledgeable but not overbearing. This is important to me, the staff seemed to sense when we needed contact otherwise let us dine and converse without constant interruptions. Food quality - consistently excellent across all of our trips to the restaurant spanning several years."

  • "I ordered the small filet mignon from the prix fixe menu. The steak had a great deal of gristle and toughness making it impossible to chew. I left well over half of the meat on the plate. I questioned the waiter about the steak on the prix fixe menu as compared to the one on the regular menu. He replied that the only difference was the size of the filet. Hard to imagine that would be the case. My husband considered his bone-in filet just average."

  • "yes, food and service is good, everyone is friendly-which by the way should be expected when you pay so much for food; BUT.. and I know it was New Years Eve...we did have late reservations(10:30pm). We are still sitting at our table at 12:15am... I asked our waiter for more complementary champagne and he said no that they close at 11pm..really? we were seated at 10:30... and then immediately after he told us that, another waiter chimed in saying we are cleaning up and trying to close. Now I understand it being NYE and people want to get to their families but a kind way to tell us that would have been nice. we did get up and leave. I thought this was way out of line. doesn't cost much to be nice. not at all what is expected at a Ruth Chris!"

  • "Suggested to wife that I take her and her family out for Thanksgiving instead of having them work like dogs in the kitchen. This is an expensive restaurant but given the occasion was worth it. Too much food still! Many staff running all over the place to serve the special dinner to people. The waiter's wife and children are with her parents - he could work Xmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving and chose this one. Friendly staff, good food, left him full 20% tip given the occasion - usually leave 15%. When I first called, the lady said they were booked but guess what? I went On -line at 11 AM, found Open Table, and they got me in for 1 PM. Amazing!"

  • "Dreadful is the first word that comes to mind. Loud is another. Caesar, mushrooms & potatoes were good. Bread was ok. The pricey porterhouse for two was undercooked & one big mass of grizzle. A pit bull couldn't chew this steak. They charge $76 for Simard St. Emillion that retails for $25. Triple retail for wine is a rip off. This has to be the worst Ruth Chris in the chain. The waiter saw we didn't eat the steak, but didn't care. We paid $250 for a miserable meal. Shame on them!"

After 90 minutes, we had finished with cocktails and salads and were still waiting for main entrees. Food and steaks were great as always. Consistent Ruth Chris food. Not sure what was wrong in kitchen. We got over it though by the time we were done with dinner."

  • "This was our first visit to the PVB Ruth's Chris and we were expecting an outstanding steak that we normally associate with Ruth's Chris. However, the cuts were below average (high fat content) , poorly seasoned, and undercooked. One steak was ordered medium and it came out cold in the middle. The steak was returned and they still did not get it right. Our waitress was very professional and gave us excellent service. She tried, but could not make up for the "steak tartare"."

A group came in in shorts, tee shirts and flip flops. The guy at the table next to us made a comment about not coming back. We probably will not be back for special occasions, it at all."

Ruth Chris is definitely a fine dining experience. Cosmos at the bar were the best I've had. We lingered from the bar to the dinner. We were there for three hours. Wonderful and relaxing! Most enjoyabel experience by far!!!"
