Even if you don't have a lot of money, it's a great way to celebrate a special occasion in an affordable way. The wait staff was attentive without being intrusive."

I had ordered a bottle of wine a 2007 Pinot Noir from Carneros region of California. It was way past its prime and had lost all character. The waiter didn't even blink and eye. He took the wine back and we selected a better vintage. We were even given cheesecake to take home. It was a great experience."

  • "In an era of diminishing steakhouses, this is a super example of the greatness of simply prepared American cuisine. The steak does vary a bit in quality but on this visit, it was excellent. The sides are very traditional, large, and very good. They arrive perfectly prepared, with a hot sizzling well seasons good old American steak. The chopped salad is especially good, and the bread is home cooked and delicious. Service could not have been any better, on a Sat nite. Large parties can make it noisy! Love coming here ..only place we eat steak anymore, about 6 times a year."

  • "A great place for a special occasion. The service was excellent. Our waiter made us feel as though we were the only people in the restaruant. He was very attentive yet not overbearing. The lamb chops were "to live for". I asked for medium well and they were perfect. My husband had an 18 oz pork chop that was cooked well done yet it was especially tender and crispy on the outside and succulent and juicy on the inside. The sweet potato casserole was the best that I have ever eaten outside of my own kitchen. I highly recommend this restaruant for any special occasion. It's a little pricey, but well worth it."

  • "As we made our reservations online we had no idea that Ruth's Chris was extending their Valentine's fixed menu to the 15th as well. If a restaurant has a special menu, guests should be aware of it before they go in and are broadsided. And it should be made blaringly clear while making the reservation. Guests are generally used to a restaurant, or it's been recommended to them so the focus is on the reservation, not on the menu at that point. If there is a change it should be made known."

  • "This was our third dinning experience at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Pikesville, Maryland. What draws us back to this particular Ruth's Chris is that it is so convenient to get to and park. Most Ruth's Chris steakhouses are in large cities and downtown areas and parking is almost always impossible if you don't use the valet service. This Ruth's Chris has it's own parking lot right in front of the restaurant which is fantastic. If your looking for a great value, order from the "classics" section of the menu. It gives you an appetizer, main course, and desert for a set price. The choices are great. Of course every steak they serve is SPECTACULAR and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All the food is incredible at Ruth's Chris."

  • "Went on a Saturday night with a party of 4 during Baltimore County Restaurant Week. Even with a reservation there was a bit of a wait but of course that was to be expected. Service was excellent as these higher end steak houses are notorious for taking care of their customers. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating was that the salad appetizers we ordered had a few pieces of browned lettuce in it but we just removed the dis colored pieces and the cheesecake dessert was overcooked and somewhat dry. The texture wasn't fluffy but crumbly and dry. Other than that the waiters were very attentive and the steaks were cooked to perfection."

  • "My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary in style! The location is great because we didn't need to drive into downtown Baltimore. The first street off the Pikesville beltway exit, very convenient, parked ourselves right in front of the restaurant. Minor disappointment: no beer on draft. The lobster bisque was smooth and creamy, chock full of lobster pieces, served on a warmed plate, hence, the soup was nice and hot. Both of us enjoyed the dual lobster tails and steak which were cooked to perfection. We also feasted on the nut bread which we used to wipe our plate "clean" to soak up every last drop of essence. 5-star excellence in surf & turf dining from prompt start to delicious finish!!!"

  • "I was in a party of 4 last Saturday night. We went with the intention of ordering off of the restaurant week menu. The waiter (older guy with an accent) seemed angry that we ordered the special. His service was minimal. We ordered a round of drinks. The bill was still expensive for the amount of food we got. He got tipped way better than he should have for the service he provided. We even had to ask for water. In my opinion, if you look down on people who come in because it is restaurant week, then don't offer it. There are many other restaurants with food equivalent to yours with the same prices or better. For a restaurant with your reputation, we were very disappointed."
