Modesto was our waiter who I have had before and he was great again. This was the first time bringing my children 10 and 7. The restaurant had a nice kids menu and the pace of the meal was good for children. The Porterhouse for two fed my wife myself and my daughter. It is a great cut of meat. Here the steak was perfectly cooked and tasty, salad yummy, good wine.This place is head & shoulders over every other steakhouse. It was our anniversary and you would've thought we were king & queen by the special attention we received from every person there - hostess, server, bus boys. A special dessert free of charge. This place is going to be where we go for EVERY special occasion. And by the way, my husband's fussy, but he didn't have a single complaint! Well, one. He didn't like our original table and asked to move after everything had been set up. When the waiter was serving another table a waitress noticed we needed coffee and showed up with the pot and she was not asked. Great service. I like the large table setup for two. Parking at Northbrook IL is great. We stayed at the Renaissance Hotel, so the restaurant was convenient. Our dining experience lived up to many of the reviews I had read. Not only did they accommodate a late change in our reservation, but served us a spectacular dessert in honor of my daughter's graduation and her birthday. Our waiter was extremely helpful with his menu recommendations, and service was impeccable. Elegant service. Excellent servers. One of the servers, Muhammed, is a star. There is also a gentleman who has done the valet parking for years who is a gentleman and a delight, whom we look forward to seeing each visit.
The last two times we have dined here, one small problem of the music in the dining room being overwhelmingly loud, which took away from the experience. We did ask our server if she could turn it down, and she did, but someone turned it back up later.
