  • "We have been to Ruth's Chris many times, and the food has always been very good. I realize that it is known for it's steak, but I feel that there needs to be some pasta options. I am not much of a steak nor potato person. Therefore, my options are quite limited from the menu. I always end up ordering appetizers for my meal. My husband really enjoyed his fillet and his dinner. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. They brought him dessert that he truly enjoyed. The service was impeccable."

  • "Basically the same as other Ruth's Chris I've been to, which is a good thing. Beautiful, melt in your mouth, filets. Plentiful and quality sides. Lobster was good, but in the Bethesda, MD location they plated the shelled meat with an artistic flair, instead of in a pile. Just one of those little things you expect when you're paying masterpiece prices. Left feeling fat and happy, even though I had to resist dessert (and they looked especially good)."

  • "We decided to go to Ruth's Chris for Valentine's Day dinner. I ordered the mixed grill, consisting of a petite fillet, crab cake & stuffed chicken breast. I've had this entree before and it was excellent as always. However, my wife ordered a lobster here for the first time and was sorely disappointed. It was quite tasteless (I tried it too), although not inedible. The server offered to replace it with another dish, but my wife did not want to wait, since I already had my entree and the kitchen was slower than usual due to the large crowd. Nevertheless, when customers are charged $33 a pound, making this 2.7 lb. lobster cost nearly $90, it is reasonable to expect that it should be outstanding."

When we do eat steaks, we like well done. Well done steaks are usually dry...my steak was juicy, tender, and flavorful. We received an anniversary dessert, compliments of the restaurant. Highly recommend, and we will definitely come back."

  • "Been here 10 to 12 times since it opened. Food is always better than average, but rarely to the level that you would expect for the price. The quality of the beef is good, as USDA Prime suggests, hence the rating. It has been common here that they struggle with the temperature of the meat. I get it, the steak comes out on a sizzling plate, so it doesn't take long for it to zoom past medium rare right in front of you. A few times the steak was so over done we sent it back and the restaurant was accommodating, more times than not we just consumed it even though it was cooked a little past medium rare. I prefer sitting in the lounge to a table in a high traffic area of a dining room, but you can't reserve a booth in the lounge."

Yet, the petite filet and shrimp were not as good as we expected. The steak and shrimp combo was nice and hot, and the presentation was inviting. Yet, the taste of the steak was mediocre, and the shrimp were cooked too long, so a bit tough. I suppose I expected more since we had eaten at Ruth Chris in other locations and the steaks were superb. Maybe our expectations were unrealistic, that is why we did not complain, as the food was hot and tender, just not the superb taste and quality that we were accustomed to having at Ruth Chris."

  • "We've been going to this steakhouse every January during restaurant week. This year we were disappointed by the entree. My husband ordered his filet to be medium -rare and it came out medium. I ordered mine medium and it was closer to medium-rare. Halfway through dinner we switched meat. Also, the mushrooms were extremely salty; I preferred the grilled tomatoes that used to be offered with this special. The bread pudding was excellent. At this point, we are not sure we will go back to Ruth's Chris anytime soon."

  • "We have dined many times at Ruth's Chris and have enjoyed our experience each and every time. Decided to participate in Restaurant Week and tried the $35.00 special. This was unfortunately a disappointing experience. The Restaurant was out of the Seafood Gumbo already at 6:30PM, how could that be? Although the other soups on the menu were substituted one of the reasons we came was to have the seafood gumbo. The grilled shrimp that came with the petit filet were so blackened and spicy they could not be eaten at all by anyone at the table!!"

  • "We had the Restuaurant Week prixe fixe menu. We started with the house salad topped with blue cheese dressing; the dressing was rich with ample chunks of bleu cheese. Our entrees were the steaks (6 oz.) topped with three large spiced and grilled shrimp. Both were delicious; the steak was cooked to perfection. Although dessert, a bread pudding was included, we did not have room to enjoy it and got it to go. We had a bottle of wine with the meal. The restaurant has a very large wine list which is presented on an IPad (great idea!). As usual, although the restaurant was very busy, the sevice was not rushed but it was prompt, efficient and totally flawless."
