Broiled Tomato barely warm & only served 1 big 1 instead of 2 or 3 smaller. Since meant to be a share plate should have been been more then one & smaller. Past experiences Lollipop lamb chops have been excellent & properly cooked. Have been served delicious broiled tomatoes at previous meals. We were very disappointed at this meal. Service not as good as usual. Took food home & everything dumped in one box such that steak & lamb juices, leftover tomato & rolls all mixed together. Roll was soggy, all the flavors not separate. It delivers pretty much what you would expect from a steak house at this price point. Nothing really stood out to me that makes this place any better than the rest. I don't think I'll be back, there are at least 3 other steak houses that I like better. Nothing really to complain about, except maybe the server was a little annoying, always double checking to make sure we knew what we were ordering. My husband enjoyed the very good Caesar salad with large anchovies. He had the ribeye - done to perfection.Server was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The venue is calm and content with multiple rooms, each with a different decor. I would reccomened the steak special that changes every few months. The specials have never disappointed. The next time I attend I will be asking for Jim. He made a night with great food into an experience. We chose the couple's prix fixe menu available on Friday nights. You pick 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 sides, and 1 dessert to share. Both appetizers were delicious, albeit rather salty: caesar salad and lobster bisque. The filet is always outstanding at Ruth's Chris and did not disappoint. The lobster wasn't anything special and I would not get it again. The two sides we chose were broccoli (undercooked) and mushrooms (fine). The chocolate molten center cake was not nearly chocolatey enough and had a weird texture. Not the quality I would expect. The service is excellent. Our server, Linda, was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive without smothering. I especially enjoyed the Lobster Bisque, but the steaks were also done to our specification. We were there a little early on a Friday evening, so it was rather quiet in the dining rooms, but by the time we lift (after 7:15)the bar seemed pretty busy. We had ordered a Wine 'flight' which consisted of smaller portions of three different wines of your choosing. Thought we had ordered a white zinfindel but got the red one. The waitress was nice enought to bring out a small glass of the white. We ordered the Cowboy Ribeye and the spinach Au Gratin as a side. The size of the ribeye was enormous so splitting it was the right idea. We like our steaks medium rare but it was recommended to eat the steak medium. So we ordered medium rare plus and expecting the hot plates to further cook the meat to medium. The first bite was sensational. The food was fantastic. I had the Ribeye steak--wonderful and cooked perfectly. The rest of the table had sirloin strip, pork chop, and filet. Not one complaint. The side dishes were great too--choose anyone and you won't go wrong. About the service, maybe I'm a fuss but I don't think good service means constantly interrupting our conversations to ask if we need anything. I think it's more of a silent attentiveness. The space was nice. A little tight when seated back to back in some areas. I definitely will return to try the steak. Had seafood at a steakhouse but the crab cakes were outstanding and hot. I had to send the potatoes gratin back for a little more doneness (my preference, only). I should have ordered dressing on the side for the Ceasar Salad, but it was tasty. Most recently, our server, Adam, and his assistant, Stefan, gave absolutely outstanding service--always there when you needed them, but not hovering. They did all the little extra things to make a meal memorable, and they honored requests and changes with grace.
The food is wonderful. It's one of the few places where my husband can reliably order a steak as he likes it and have it given to him just as the menu specified. And, nearly unique among steakhouses, they offer a genuine vegetarian entree (not merely an agglomeration of side dishes)that is delicious and cooked with the same care as their meat dishes.
