The bone-in Ribeye should have had great flavor. I tasted like it was marinated in dish water. The service was excellent, all of the staff is very welcoming and attentive"

Ambiance was good but again don't expect the same energy and vibe you would feel at a Ruth's in Chicago or even Providence. Still has the same prices. Steaks are exceptional but the "experience" is just good."

  • "First off the host proceeded to sit up at a table next to the rest room when there were plenty of other tables available, he then upon our request sat us at a different table. Our meal was very rushed when we asked up front to not rush us. Salads were delivered before appetizer was done. Our main course was being put together back in the kitchen while we were still eating our salads and we asked them to slow down a second time. We had multiple servers and waiters and did not seem like the staff was communicating well at all. I ordered my filet medium, when it came out the waiter left, I cut into it and it was rare. The second steak they brought me was Black and Blue (rarer than the first, uncooked). Very disappointing experience."

The service was attentive without being "in your face." Everyone who worked there seemed to know it was our special day. Definitely a go-to for a special occasion."

  • "We had reservations for dinner to celebrate my husband's and daughter's birthdays. The lounge was so crowded that you could hardly enter the room. The parking was terribly difficult, and many patrons complained that there was no where to park. I know it was because of the large amount of snow, but it was frustrating. The restaurant was slammed, and many had to wait for their tables. With a reservation, we still waited almost 20 minutes. After we were seated the service was good and efficient. The beef was delicious, but the salad looked like it had been standing in the refrigerator for a while, somewhat wilted. Next time we will try for a week night in order to have quieter dining, but overall, a good experience."

  • "Off the top let me say the food was exceptional as expected for this price point. The staff was very attentive and friendly, as expected, although I will say, I believe several staff members went above and beyond! A truly excellent place to have that special occasion meal. Outstanding wine list as well. So, the only negative I can find is in the set up and decor. And this really only stems from comparing it to the Ruth's Chris in My area Dallas. It just was not "nice" enough in comparison. And by that, I mean the overall feel, layout, walls, floor plan, appearance. It did not seem very "old wood". HOWEVER! This should not stop you at all. As I stated, and must emphasize, everything else was 5 star as it should have been."

  • "Had a wonderful dinner with my husband and a great friend. Had the booth in the back and it was a very quiet and enjoyable time. Food was awesome and service couldn't be better. One of the only places around this area that you can get a reservation and be seated at the time you reserve your table. Try the Crabtini, the center cut filet and the creamed corn (they don't have that too often but ask them they might have it). Also the banana cream pie is to die for."

  • "Our original plans were canceled so we decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Since we are from New London County area our choices were Providence, RI or your location. Attentive server, steak was cook as requested and pleasantly surprised with our dessert. We had the chocolate cheesecake and it was served at the right temperature to get the full flavor of the cream cheese. We would most likely return but not as often as if there were one closer to home."

  • "Came for lunch and power went out in the restaurant before the food came out. We were told we wouldn't be able to have one of our food selections due to the power outage. They did offer an alternative but in the end the cook was able to complete the side dish by hand. The waitress had made comments about how the cooks/staff were stressed due to the situation. I was left feeling like I didn't get the "full experience" this restaurant is known for. The power was restored shortly after our food arrived. The food and overall experience was very good and I will likely return."

I'm a steak guy, and this place along with Bobby Flay's Bar American are my two favorites. Two things I would suggest you try for something different. Hot fresh potato chips appetizer served with blue cheese and the hot chocolate lava cake for desert."

  • "This was my 2nd time ever at Ruth Chris'. Went several years ago as well. Great food but W A Y out of my budget and most people I know. Just like a Rolex watch.........great quality but my bank account couldn't afford it for 1/2 the normal price. I know we have a lot of "more than comfortable" folks in Connecticut and I'm sure they keep you in business and that's great, but I probably will not return again unless I get another $100 gift card which is how I went this time. The food and service was great but when it comes to making a choice of paying $60 for one person to have a nice meal and cocktail or $28 (give or take), I have to go with the cheaper deal. The separate price for each piece of the meal is the deal breaker for many."

  • "Hadn't dined at Ruth's Chris for quite some time but we decided to go for Restaurant Week on a Thursday evening. The Caesar Salad was good (needed anchovies), the steaks as well as the sides of garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms were excellent. The chocolate cake was delicious. The staff were friendly and professional. Only problem was parking - the lot was full - we almost left after driving around the lot a couple of time before a space opened up."

  • "Great cuts for steaks, though mine (filet- medium) was slightly under and my husband's (medium rare as part of mixed grill) slightly over. They were both delicious and tender. Sides were just ok, did not like the asparagus with hollandaise- the sauce was not great and asparagus not flavorful. Garlic mashed potatoes were good. Shoestring fries were like a can of potato sticks. But I suppose people aren't coming for the sides, but the steaks were well worth the trip."
