  • "Ruth's Chris never ceases to amaze me. Although known primarily for their steaks, every course was a culinary delight! We had the ahi tuna appetizer and it was nothing short of fabulous! Both of our steaks were exquisitely prepared, my boyfriend having a NY Strip, and I, having the filet prepared Oscar style. All that and the salad paired with a beautiful Malbec, was a total delight. We look forward to joining Ruth's Chris at Harrah's Casino again very soon! The entire wait staff and particularly our server were more than efficient and personable! Thanks for a lovely evening!"

  • "If we didn't have a hundred dollar gift card we would have been enormously disappointed at the additional hundred it cost us for a very over priced meal. My filet was so tough and full of grisel and my broccoli was barely cooked. The crab cake appetizers came after our soup and salad and they were mushy in the middle. My lobster bisque had very tough lobster meat in it, like rubber! Server was nice and I suppose would have brought us different food but everything was so bad we would have spent the night there! Outback Steakhouse here we come!"

  • "They have a value selection, their "classic" menu - appetizer, side, entree & dessert. This is a great value and the portions are very adequate. The server we had was excellent, helpful, friendly, paid attention but didn't hover. The only "problems" were the sides were barely warm (potatoes, mushrooms). They added a sauce to the filet mignon (which came with lobster tail), that over powered the steak. A good steak doesn't need a creamy sauce, it should stand on its own. My gripe is that that wasn't mentioned on the menu. It basically ruined the steak."

You would think at these prices you would at LEAST be given a salad. This was a special occasion, and the birthday person had always wanted to try this restaurant. We can now say we have, and we won't be back."

  • "This restaurant is located in a large casino. They actually do a great job of making it feel like "someplace" else. The staff is very professional considering they are in the mountains of North Carolina on an Cherokee Reservation far away from areas where you would normally find such professional wait staff. They seem to do a good job of keeping families with children in areas separate from adults and couples looking for quiet ambiance."

  • "The food was extremely delicious, hot/cold as should be and tender. Could not have ask for anything more. Worth every penny! The service was a bit slow to start ordering but after that the waitress was very pleasant and checked appropiate amount of times. Would love to have the recipe for the lemon drop martini. The bloody mary was a bit lack luster."

  • "From the moment my wife & I were escorted to our table, we had the sense that we were alone in the best of ways - the focus of the staff's attention - the chef crafting a meal only for us. Our waiter, Chris, was informative & professional.. I've had lobster bisque in many, many parts of the country. Few compare. Veal stuffed ravioli that teased your palette, and fillet that melted on your fork. Outstanding evening - relaxing ambiance fashioned so that you had no idea a 30,000 sq ft casino was bustling around the dining room (never heard a sound) - at a price that would surprise you.   • "Very pricey for the quality of food and service. My lamb chops which I ordered medium were rare so asked them to cook them longer. They brought them back at least 15 min later. My husband at that point was almost finished with his entrée. They serve entrees on plates that are extremely HOT and thus the meat was so hot I couldn't eat it right away as it would burn my tongue. I have eaten much better meals on cruise ships. Maybe this particular Ruth's Chris is a cut below their other restaurants. Will not eat here again."

  • "As with every Ruth's Chris I have been to (about 5 or 6 different locations), the food is unsurpassed, portion sizes are huge and the service is prompt and friendly without being overwhelming. Ruth's Chris is at the top of my favorites when it comes to multi venue restaurants. This one in Cherokee is no exception, and is very convenient, being directly accessable from the casino floor."

  • "I've eaten at several Ruth's Chris locations around the country and if nothing else they are consistent. Ambiance is always top notch as is the service. They are very good at what they do. Personally I prefer my steak flame broiled (vs. oven broiled) but if you're the opposite, there's nothing not to like. I simply don't find their claim to fame, delivering a still searing steak on a 600 degree plate, compelling enough to make it a regular eatery."

  • "This was our 2nd time to Ruth Chris. We were looking forward to trying the stuffed chicken in addition to the steaks which are always excellent. I had also fallen in love with the pecan crusted sweet potatoes. The chicken was fabulous - almost better than the steaks and much cheaper. Unfortunately the sides were inconsistent. The parmesean cauliflower was cold and bland - obviously had been sitting awhile before being served. The pecan sweet potatoes were overcooked and dry - also obviously had been prepared well in advance and had been sitting as they were luke warm. Our reservation was for 8pm and they were already out of the asparagus. We selected the broccoli augratin as a substitute and it was excellent. Server was great."

  • "Typically a great streak and food, but not this time. Fillets were tough....overcooked......then undercooked.....then finally right. Don't get the 3 course special. All I can figure is they use a different cut for the special price. I don't mind paying more for a better steak. I do mind paying a lot for a terrible steak.....I'll give then one more chance. Maybe just a bad night........."

  • "This was not what I've experienced at Ruth's Chris in the past. The food was good, but I've definitely had better meals at other locations (and other restaurants, as well). The main issue was the poor service. We waited far longer than surrounding tables (who were seated after us) to even have our drink order taken. I'm not sure what the problem was. I'd chosen Ruth's Chris based on my past experience, and now I'll choose another dining option based on this experience. I remarked to a friend that the wait staff at the buffet the next morning was far superior to our server! And the tip reflected it!! In my opinion, a meal at this location will be a disappointment -- don't waste your time or money there."
