  • "The dining experience was wonderful, from the food to our server James. Everything was great, at the end of the meal the hostess gave us a tour of the building and shared the history of both the building and the restaurant with us."

  • "The food was great, the service very poor with a waitress who was more interested in entertaining, than in providing service. I took a group of 3 colleagues to dinner and we were seated right next to another loud and talkative table. Even though there were plenty of tables available, we were all clustered down at one end and can only assume it was for the server's convenience. The server was surely and interrupted frequently, even though it was quite clear we were in discussion. I was poured a cup of coffee which the server allowed to overflow and didn't offer to clean up. I was stuck with a dripping coffee cup that had to be cleaned off, every time I wanted a sip."

  • "My family went in celebration of my 19th birthday as per my request and I am thrilled with my decision. We were offered drinks immediately and the whole night the waiters made us feel like we were the centre of attention. The wine list was impeccable and the list was organized in a very simple fashion which made choosing quite easy. The steaks were all cooked to perfection and the waiters were very knowledgeable on the types of steaks and how best to have them cooked. Something I also found quite enjoyable was that they heated the plate to 500 degrees so your food stayed hot throughout the night. As for the deserts, they can easily be shared as they are quite large. On a final note be wary that it will cost between $60-120 per person."

  • "We have dined at Ruth's Chris several times previously, usually for "special occasions", and enjoyed a great meal and excellent service each time. This time however our evening surpassed even Ruth's Chris' standard of excellence. Our reservation request was unexpectedly accommodated when I phoned, even though Open Table showed no availability for a larger group for the time I was requesting. The meal as always was amazing and our party of 8 was made to feel like we were the only diners in a very busy restaurant. Our attentive server worked hard to make our "graduation celebration" evening memorable- mission accomplished!"

  • "Took my mom for a belated Mothers Day dinner. She had the halibut and I had the filet. Both were great! Service was especially skilled was greeted by name throughout the evening by all staff. Very impressive!"

  • "We were there with our daughter and her husband to celebrate our anniversary. They sat us at a lovely private booth that had been decorated with small anniversary confetti. All the wait staff were attentive and congratulatory. The pace of our meal could have been a bit slower. The wine mark-up is huge. The food was just ok. The crab cake appetizer was cold in the middle. The petit fillet steaks, which is why we chose this restaurant, were over-cooked to what we had ordered and were quite tough and a challenge to cut. You certainly would never leave this restaurant hungry as the size of the smallest steak is 8 oz. The waiter brought us a dessert sampler that we all shared, some of it was better than the rest but a lovely thought."

Considering the cost of everything, steaks alone are 52 and sides are extra....it should be the best. The lounge is also warm and inviting...they have a menu for 18 dollars that looks good before six o'clock, I think we'll try that next time. The keg is our usual steak house and honestly the steak there is better, completely different atmosphere though."

Lunch was reasonable cost but the service a bit hit and miss. No complaints about the food - everyone thought it was great, especially the salads. But my dinner experience was a shocker in terms of price. I did expect to pay a lot for a good steak and it was great. But ouf! That one hurt. Waitress screwed up my cousin's dinner - she asked for salmon but they served her halibut. She said it was fabulous. Waitress offered her a free dessert. But my cousin was full and my waist said no!. The desserts are amazing. Had one at my lunch and it was amazing. Something about the service - just seemed awkward"

  • "We went here to celebrate a special occasion. I've eaten at this one in Edmonton a few times and also the one in Calgary. This one seems to have gone downhill over the years. My harvest salad was kind of soggy and the onion straws on top tasted old and stale. My steak was cooked well done, even though I ordered it medium well and the bread was not even warm. For a bill of $150 for two people, I expected better quality than Joey's or Cactus Club, but would prefer the latter any day. I will not be going back to the Edmonton location. The Calgary one is top notch though!"

Amazing brussel sprout side that was to die for! As a "vegetarian" I was weary, but I thoroughly enjoyed my Portobello mushroom & veggie dish. A ton of food, fresh, and delicious!! They had placed birthday decorations on our table and brought my husband a birthday dessert and I did not have to ask. Thank goodness someone told me about the menu before I went as I would not have known that the side dishes come separate and you pay for them separately. The menu did not mention the size of most of the steaks so we had to ask. Most of the steaks are meant for sharing. The price of the steaks are a little high but worth the price as they were delicious, as were the sides."

The service by our waiter that had a fake French accent made the evening feel like a farce. There are lots of places to buy a steak at a much lower cost that are just as good or better quality and local Alberta beef. I can't think of a reason to ever go back or refer to friends or family at those prices."

  • "this is our third time to the your restaurant,the food this time was a disappointment. we had to send our Calamari back as it was cold and very greasy. With the second Calamari,it was much hotter,but still very greasy,it tasted as if the they cooked them and the oil was not hot enough. Your steak was beautiful. We received the Sunday night special. The dessert was okay and same menu as in the past,might be nice to change it up a little. Not sure if we will be back.For the price we payed the meal did not meet our standard. You staff are very kind and wonderful,but found they interrupted us way to many times."

In fact I noted some bottles of wine on the wine list that are marked up 700% the steaks are unlike anywhere else I eat however the rest is comparable to lesser franchises. I find the service to be comparable to the keg. I can appreciate the higher price as to keep a certain clientele, at least this is what I assume the extra cost to be attributed. The price for a meal for two hurried through in 2 hours equals the cost of skiing in the Rockies for a weekend all inclusive. Not what I expect as value for my dollar."
