The filet mignon is the perfect...melts in your mouth. We like the side servings made for sharing with your dinner partner. The ambience is outstanding; enjoy the quietness. Glad we chose Ruth Chris; the service was great, food was great, everything was GREAT! This time didn't disappoint - the overall experience was very good. I decided to try the sea bass this visit, which turned out to be a bit of a mistake. Wasn't terrible, but not great...much more "fishy" tasting than I'm used to with sea bass. I guess when you go to a steak house, you should stay with steak! As noted, we would recommend and will, in all likelihood, return to this restaurant. Only complaint is bring back the Banana Pie5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGood but Not Good EnoughAlthough the food was very good we found that our memories of Ruths Chris were somewhat distorted (it's been 8 years or so). Steaks are still served on extremely hot plates to keep them nice and warm, but the steaks themselves left something to be desired. Both my wife's filet mignon and my porterhouse were surprisingly grisly. There was also a lack of any really good flavor to them. We've been taking date nights to nice steakhouses around Columbus each month and sadly Ruth's Chris didn't even line up with places like J. Alexanders. We simply expected more from a place of this caliber. Although still nice, we won't be returning to Ruths Chris anytime soon.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my male friend's birthdayIt was my male friend's birthday so I wanted to treat him to something special. This place was beyond great!!! The service was super, and everyone was so friendly, the food was so good...words can't explain. The food is pricey but its so worth it. I would definitely go back (on a good pay day). The strawberry chocolate cheesecake was to die for. We even order chocolate martinis and it was the strongest drink i've ever had at a restaurant. I was thrilled when they ask me if I would like a Makers Mark Manhatten--my favorite drink! Still wondering how they knew that! My mom and I split dinner, as we are not large eaters. Some restuarnats frown on "sharing" but Ruth Chris's was delightful! Being a late arrangement, we were glad to find Open Table still had some place settings at this restaurant. Excellent service, the servers were all super friendly. The entire staff was so nice wishing us happy anniversary. This included the mitre de, the manager, our busboy and especially our server Shannon. The food was exceptional with even the strip able to be cut with a fork. My filet Oscar was wonderful. The food was wonderful, the service perfect, and the staff is always fabulous.2/8/2013 12:00:00 AMA Family AffairWe have dined at Ruth's Chris of Columbus many times, but this was our first time taking our whole family. We were a bit leery about taking our three young granddaughters, but our fears were soon put to rest. The staff was so patient and understanding, even bringing coloring sheets and crayons to the girls. Everyone was great, from Andy the manager and Bonita the hostess, to Josh the bartender. Our server, Shannon, was wonderful about everything. We hope to be able to take the whole family again soon.12/28/2012 12:00:00 AMOur Favorite PlaceWhen we arrived we were disappointed to find out Josh, our favorite bartender, and Andy, the manager, were at an official function and not available. We soon found our disappointment turned into sheer pleasure. Bonita, Hristo, and Laura did a wonderful job taking care of us and tending to our needs and wants with ease.
