  • "If you need to have that "Sophisticated" feeling to dine, than this is for you ! Don't get me wrong, the food was very good. I don't like the "A la Carte" way of ordering. I don't want to pay $8+ dollars for a salad, and $8+ for a potato. Atmosphere is very drab. Our waitress was very efficient and nice, but this type of restaurant would not be my choice again."

  • "The ribeye was fabulous! Cooked correctly, well seasoned and delicious. The spinach side dish was good and the gumbo was excellent! The spinach was fresh and the gumbo rivaled any we've had in New Orleans or Memphis with the perfect seasonings and great rue consistency. Our server was very good and she was attentive but not over the top! The wine list was very nice and thorough! We enjoyed a bottle of Justin Cabernet and it was the perfect compliment to the ribeye. We would return in a heartbeat and will do so the next time we are in Chattanooga."

  • "This was our first time visiting Ruth Chris. I loved the valet parking. Loves the atmosphere and our waitress was amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and especially the wines. The seared Ahi-tuna was the best I have ever had. The salad however had frozen and brown edges on a majority of the salad. This was a big no-no for me especially in such an establishment such as Ruth Chris. My husband ordered the lamb chops as they are simply his favorite. As Lamb is a gamey meat, they were to gamey and could have passed as mutton. I ordered a steak and it was cooked literally too perfection. My lobster tail however was over cooked as pulling the meat from the shell shredded the meat as well as not allowing me to get all the meat out."

  • "I was referred to this restaurant by a friend who travels a great deal. I ordered NY Strip well done. It came back Med Rare. My husband ordered Lobster... It was Awesome!!, However it was on the plate with my sons Cowboy Steak.... My son ordered the Cowboy Steak Medium... It came Rare!!! The steaks were on plates that were 500 degrees and in sizzling butter that splattered.... needless to say you had to wait for it to cool down or transfer to another plate."

  • "We went to Ruth Chris for our son's 16th birthday. They had the table decorated with 16 decorations. Greeted us by name and wishing him a happy birthday. The steaks were delicious! The sides were large enough for all three of us to share. The price is on the higher side. Would recommend for special occasions."

  • "About the 7th or 8th time I've dined here. The food was WONDERFUL and PERFECTLY prepared as usual. Worth every penny. A worrisome note was the service; shockingly not Ruth's Chris quality. Our server Autumn was great but didn't hardly see the assistants at all. Drinks got low to empty, table was cluttered and dirty when assistants did come by they were very cold. Made me wish I could designate my tip to the main server and the chef. I hope they don't get "Chattanooga Server Syndrome""

Food and service were every bit as good as the Ruth's Chris in Chicago and we were very pleased with our meal. Our server was excellent - a perfect combination of friendly, professional and efficient. Ruth's Chris always serves excellent steaks."

  • "Would give them a 9 out of 10! Got there early and had a few drinks. This is the only negative as $13.50 for certain drinks is getting a bit ridiculous. Otherwise, the mushrooms stuffed with crab were delicious, and our meals, a large filet and then a mix of a small filet, crab cake, and chicken, were outstanding. Don't be fooled by chichen on here - I actually thought it was the best thing about my entire meal! Service was great too! and to top it off, since we went for my wife's birthday, they gave us a free dessert that was so, so good. They didn't ask for an ID or anything like that, which was nice. They just asked if we were visiting for a reason, we mentioned it, and voila! Whole experience, though expensive, was worth it!"

Having dined previously in two other Ruth Chris' restaurants, we knew were were in for a special treat. We brought with us other family members who had not dined at Ruth Chris and we knew they would love it as well and they truly did. From the moment we were greeted to the time we left, every need was met and exceeded. The service was superb and the food was as well. We savored every bite! What an enjoyable meal and night out in a beautiful restaurant. Truly a gem in the Chattanooga area and we will return!"

Cut to the chase-- chicken noodle soup was good; shrimp cocktail was delicious; seafood gumbo was not so good; mixed grill was very good; asian egg rolls were good; onion rings were all right. The stuffed chicken with the mixed grill got the most delicious votes. The apple tart was all right due to the apples not being fully cooked. It was a nice change of pace from our eating in 20 minutes. We had a had an enjoyable, leisurely meal having time to get caught up with each other."

  • "I took my husband out for his birthday...My expectations were high. I will say the service and atmosphere were great. The food was not. I spent a lot of money for food that i could have cooked better, and that is what my husband said. He did enjoy the steak. I had the mixed grill and did not enjoy it at all. My steak tasted like a salt lick. The crab cake lacked flavor and did the chicken. The ice cream was good, the bread pudding again, lacked flavor. I don't mind spending the money as long as the food is good. This was not and i can not recommend this restaurant."

  • "As someone who travels all over the country, I enjoy going to a nice steak restaurant for dinner with clients. I was excited that an upper end steak house was coming to Chattanooga. I have eaten at other Ruth's all over the country. This one is one of the newest and is very nice for decor and seating. The only problem is the food and the staff...steaks were cooked in too much butter ( I know this is the signature but this is the first time that it was "swimming") and the wait staff seem to not be "energetic" enough...it was a Thursday night and it might have something to do with it. Nice wine and bar menu...bread pudding was great...hope to give them another shot..."

  • "My sweetheart informed me that she had never eaten at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse when I mentioned we had visited one on a recent business trip. We visited the Chattanooga restaurant the week after Valentines due to weather conditions. We arrived earlier than our reservations and they were very accommodating, We determined to have a cocktail in the bar before dinner and the people were very helpful discussing different meals they liked and different cocktails they could make. They did something without question, that is to let you transfer your bar bill to the restaurant bill. A lot of places that I have dined with find this to be difficult to accomplish. They have a very simple but tasty steakhouse menu. An excellent evening."

  • "We had a semi large group and our experience was wonderful. This is a much fancier place than we normally visit, and we loved it. We knew it was gong to be an expensive meal and it was, but it was well worth it. My husband and I both had plenty to eat with left overs. This is not somewhere we could eat on a weekly basis but for special events I give it 2 thumbs up."

  • "The ambience was nice. The service was outstanding. The food wasn't anything special. I would recommend ordering your steak one level below what you would normally order. The steaks are served on a 500* plate which continues to cook your steak before arrival. My rib eye was over down and even burnt on one end. I do not like to send food back to the kitchen, so I ate my steak medium well instead of medium. Also, upon arrival I noticed several patrons wearing blue jeans and untucked shirts. There is nothing wrong with blue jeans and untucked shirts, but I expected a more upscale atmosphere. It kind of made me feel no different than if I had went to Logan's down the street. Will I return? Maybe."
