Diner Reviews
  • "I had my birthday dinner here and the ambience was extremely nice. The dim lights, the city/park view all contributed to the elegant setting. The food was good, it could have been better then this Restuarant would be five star. The spicy lobster appetizer was really good, a must try. The stuff chicken was also great. I would dine there again."

  • "Food was good. Steaks arrive on plates that were dangerously hot. Service was OK, could of been better."

  • "The attitude of the hosts and servers were very rude and we did not feel a good ambience or being treated with appreciation fro our business. The steak was great but all the rest of the food was pretty ordinary. When you read the story on the menu, you can not really relate to the place. ."

  • "Food was excellent. Service was slow. On a slow night."

  • "I have had the opportunity to dine at Ruth's Chris in many locations and have been favorably impressed. I often take clients or employees to a Ruth's as special perk. This visit, nothing glaringly wrong, but just seemed less than spectacular. A, at very best, cool reception when we checked in, some minor drama about no one available to take us to a table in a nearly empty restaurant (early evening). The wait staff at the table were capable and friendly, no complaints here. The food was good, not outstanding, with an overcooked steak that I did not send back due to being with a guest and not wanting to make a fuss. One side was served just about lukewarm. Overall, nothing glaringly wrong, but a disappointing evening for the price point,"

  • "We have always enjoyed Ruth's Chris, but this site was not as good as others. The seating we had did overlook Centennial Park, and that was nice, but the interior was rather plain. We did like the roomy seating between the tables, however. We always love their Ruth's prime time menu, but our server failed to mention that and seemed displeased when we asked for that menu. Our Caesar salads were on the dry side. Three of our steaks were overcooked, and we did not want to take the time to have them redone. One order was fine. Coffee and ice cream was good. Overall, it was quiet and relaxing, but food was not as good as it should have been."

  • "We have never had a bad meal from a Ruth's Chris, and this is no exception. It is actually the restaruant inside the Embassy Suites. Excellent service throughout. You have choices of dining outside, inside, or inside in the open area a typical Embassy Suites has."

  • "I've dined in Ruth's Chris Steak Houses all over the country and at every one of them in Atlanta. Without a doubt this is the top store I've ever been in. Food prep is exact, service precise and only as intrusive as you invite it to be, well balanced between friendly chatter and professional detachment. The Centennial location is ideal for special occasions but in an oversight from Section 2, it is also just about perfect for a business meal. Th atmosphere is properly lit, quiet, comfortable, and not at all rushed. Nice view of Centennial Park, too."

  • "I loved this restaurant! Very high class and perfect for special occasions. I would definitely come back here again next year for my birthday. Food was amazing, service was great and I enjoyed myself."

  • "Having dined at this particular Ruth's Chris location many times over the years, I was looking forward to meeting old friends for dinner and conversation. We had an 8:00 reservation and were seated on time. Drink orders were placed and salads served in a timely manner. Our food, however, took 2 hours to arrive. One steak was cold. When I dine at Ruth's Chris, I expect premium service to go along with the premium pricing and you did not meet my expectations. I even had a separate table of employees as my guests who had never dined at a Ruth's Chris. They managed to get their food in 1 1/2 hours and wondered why I raved about the restaurant."

  • "I guess when you eat at a place like this, at least for me, it should always be outstanding and I couldn't say this trip was. Service was minimal, offerings on early menu were just OK. For what you pay, it should have been better"

  • "First time to Ruth's Chris in maybe 8 years. I usually don't enjoy the way they cook steaks, usually a thick crust on outside of filet. Looks like I need to give RC another look again as a great steak house, because my filet was perfection!"

  • "Great special they didn't even bother to plate properly. Thank goodness the wine was wonderful. Sorely disappointed."

  • "This trip was a little different. We took our "Kids"! We introduced our kids to Ruth's Chris steakhouse for my eldest sons 13th birthday. We went for lunch (better time to take kids) and the full menu was offered but they also offer a wonderful lunch menu. Try the filet, which is excellent, all sides are a la carte one side feeds 2-3 people. Try the sweet potatoe soufflé! If you like fries try the shoestring fries they're wonderful too! The kids menu was a highlight for our wallet. Cenntienal Olympic park as our view and the SkyView Ferris wheel in the back ground. (Which is also wonderful) I would recommend this place to anyone. Not budget friendly but well worth the money. Special occasion worthy. Make "Reservations" or sit at the bar."

  • "If you do not make a reservation they will tell you that you have to wait a very long time. We walked in and asked how long it would take to get a table and they said it would be over an 1hour and a half. I then opened open table and made a reservation for 6:45 and it was 6:40 so we walked back in said we had a reservation and were immediately seated."

  • "Although service was A-1 and food was delicious, I expected more ambience of the Ruth's Chris that I am used to at the Sandy Springs location. This restaurant left much to be desired - from the tabletop advertisements of making christmas and new year's reservations (it was late February, after all) to the general hamburger like atmosphere near the kitchen, the amount of cash that is required to eat here is not reflected in any part of the restaurant. The brand Ruths Chris means more to me than this and I was sorely disappointed. Good thing it was a group of old friends getting together in town while participating at a convention nearby. If it was an anniversary or special occasion I would have been very sad."

  • "Food was great, but service was not parallel to food. Very slow and unprofessional. Didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. We had Reservations at 9:00pm and didn't get appetizer until 9:45. I had to tell my date several times to not worry about the service because it was about us, then found myself making comments about service. The highlight was us laughing and joking about how bad the service was. It was as if the restaurant was not ready for a Valentines crownd. For a $200 meal, Service needs to be at least above Par, not far below. Epic Fail..."

  • "My wife and I enjoyed a Valentine's Day dinner at the Ruth's Chris at Centennial Olympic Park in Atlanta. The food was great and the service even better! A little pricey, but that's to be expected. After dinner, we enjoyed the cheesecake which was one of the best I've ever eaten! Give Ruth's Chris a try if you haven't before, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!"

  • ""I love the relaxed feel of this place - like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The salmon with crab on top was amazing and the filet minion was refreshing. The table was in a quiet location. I Love how you can really see Atlanta's centennial park. Service was well-timed and friendly. We had a great time."

  • "Arrived for Valentines lunch, dined at several R. Chris resturants in the past. We got off to a rocky start, hostess encounter less than desirable. I requested to be seated at another table for which she refused my request, needless to say the resturant was less than 50% occupied so the request for a larger table was not unreasonable. During our entire meal several larger tables remained empty. I ordered the Lamb chops which were very good, my hubby ordered the pork chop. The pork chop arrived to the table thick, juicy and flavorful. My lamb chops were perfectly cooked, we also shared the sweet potato casserole, they were scrumptous. My husband ordered a Ceasar salad that never arrived.. All in all the meal was good the service is lacking."

  • "It took entirely to long to receive our food. We were there for an hour and half before we revived our food. I understand it was busy but that was a while to wait. Besides that everything else was great."

  • "I have dined at many Ruth Chris locations and this is the first time that I have had a less than stellar experience. The service was slow at best. It took thirty minutes for our first drink order to get to the table. It took over an hour for our steaks to arrive and our server never acknowledged the fact that we had to wait an exceptionally long time for either. Our server was even informed that we had other obligations that we needed to get to and was even slower once that was told to her. Also, this is the first time that the steaks were not prepared well. For some reason they tasted bland and watery. I have never had to season a Ruth Chris steak at the table until this time. I don't believe I will choose this location again."

  • "We love going out to try new places and wanted to try here for a while. After 2 bites if my infant size steak I actually wished I was at a Brazilian steakhouse or even Olive Garden. I would have savory my meal so much more I ordered the Mix Grill and wasn't anxious to finish so I had half to take home. 1hr later still hungry I went ahead and finished it off feeling totally disappointed. $150 for 2 down the drain!"

  • "I thought a nice Valentine's dinner with my daughter at an upscale restaurant would be really neat. I reservations at the Ruth's Chris downtown. We were seated and our waiter was pleasant. Our food took a while but I understood because it was Valentine's Day. When we got our steaks they were not prepared as we ordered them. The food was taken back and prepared again. My daughter's steak was prepared as she desired (well done) but was not. I also my steak well done. The piece I did manage to eat a piece. It had no flavor! The waiter was apologetic. The final straw was the restaurant gave single roses to departing women patrons. My daughter got her rose when we got home I picked it up and was immediately stuck by a thorn."

  • "It's located inside the Embassy Suites so unless you are staying at the hotel, pulling up to the hotel and walking through the lobby takes away from any ambiance. Inside the restaurant decor is okay, it was a bit crowded because it was Valentine's Day. The waiter did not tell us of any specials, we found out by listening to the waitress who was taking care of the table next to us. My steak was tough and my husband ordered a second glass of wine which took 15 min for the waiter to bring. Ruth Chris use to be able to compete with other high end steakhouses but I don't they are at that level anymore. Definitely better than Longhorn Steakhouse but at Longhorn you get what you pay for not $200 for weak service and un-appetizing food."

  • "The food was very good. My wifes steak was cooked to perfection. My fish was very delicate and buttery. The wine list was superb and the wait staff was very attentive. The only problem we had was that we sat right in front of the kitchen and it was extremely warm. Probably would be best to eliminate that table or at least turn the air down. The side dishes were very well cooked but nothing to note for a "wow" factor."
