Ruth's Chris Steak House - BuckheadExcellent hostessI had a 9:15pm single reservation and asked for a well lit table (to read my Wall St Journal). The hostess walked me through the bar and restaurant sizing up the lighting. She had me wait 5 minutes as she re-arranged a single table in a well lit, quiet part of the restaurant. Bravo! And the food was the typically trusted and very good level found at every Ruth Chris. That hostess deserves recognition. My bone in ribeye was more medium well than medium rare but the flavor was great. I'd probably order it rare next time because the hot plate cooks it too much. Sides, dessert and wine were all great. We were welcomed when we checked in by our last names and I was immediately told Happy Mother's Day which was very nice. On the way to the table the sweater asked questions about me and my family. I felt like that we meant a lot to them. We were seated and given our menus and told Karol would be our server. My whole family was treated like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Karol was an excellent server and his attention to detail was impeccable . The steaks are always prepared perfectly to order, the sides are great, the appetizers are excellent. We both ordered medium rare and the steaks arrived medium well to well. My husband's steak was perfect on the second try. Mine was more medium than medium rare, but I ate it anyway without commenting. Our server was very apologetic and could plainly see our steaks were not right. The manager came over and apologized as well. We both had ordered the early menu (a great deal) and fresh sides were brought with our new steaks. We have always enjoyed Ruth's Chris in every city we've tried one. They are always consistent. We will give them another chance. I expected high quality service and food, yet it fell short on the food. We noticed something was wrong when two other tables had their steaks send back because it wasn't cooked correctly. Our steaks came and we encountered the same issue. The remainder of our food wasn't hot either. The waiter was excellent, and management was quick to correct any issues with that arised. There was only one steak choice on the menu tied to the promotion. It was overdone, tough and poor quality.
