The "ambiance lighting" was so dark that we could not read the menu. The management, however, could not have cared less and reprimanded the server for turning up the lights which quite honestly were so low it was difficult to even see your dinner companions. When we inadvertedly walked by and overheard ghe reprimand we jumped to the servers defense to no avail and instead we ourselves got a response that smacked of "mind your own business."

For dessert, the restaurant brought a cake and ice cream dedicated for the happy couple. Food and drink and the crazy orders were handled with ease. they comp the birthday desert and had pictures taken of the event. Asked for a quiet table so was seated in a romantic, cozy brick walled room with arched ceilings. All adults in here at tables for 2-4 so it was quiet & refined. Started with a melt-in-your mouth carpaccio & then had a bone- in filet mignon cooked to perfection. The Chardonnay suggested by our waiter was excellent. I made a slight note about our celebration when reserving a table online, and when we arrived we had a great table in a quiet room, anniversary confetti and we were even treated to a complimentary dessert. The food and service were great per usual. The steak is better than anything I have ever tried, and so are all there side and desserts. The staff makes you feel like royalty and always have a smile. If you don't think you can afford a nice dinner, here's the trick. If two people get a petit filet, a side to split (the potatoes au gratin are my favorite!), no alcohol and go on a special occasion (make sure you tell them when you make the reservation) you can get all of that and free desert for under $100 for two. I threw caution to the wind this trip and went for the ribeye. It was very good, but I won't order it again. And try the hashbrowns with cheese sauce. It's a killer of itself. I brought my boyfriend there for his birthday and he loved it. I particularly liked how everyone who came by our table, even the ice water man, said happy birthday. There was confetti on the table when we arrived and they also brought out an amazing cheesecake at the end with a candle. It was a romantic and warm spot as well. The food was pricey but amazing, and I had a great dining experience. Only complaints go to a wobbley table and no one really saying goodbye as we left the restaurant. As always, the steaks were prefectly prepared, and most brought home some leftovers. A special baked potato dish was wonderful. Bread pudding was the best of several desserts. The SERVICE! I want to say this particular time I had the best service I've ever received dining out. they took our pictures (multiple times) the wait staff was SUPER FRIENDLY! We cracked jokes- it was really great. They closed before we were done- no rush! So patient and accomodating. There was no, "the kitchen is closing, hurry up." My Birthday ice cream had a picture on it some of the staff drew- hilarious. If you could ask me anything to review I'd give them an "A+". We started with drinks at the bar and then moved to our table. The one issue we had is that we had called a week earlier and asked to add one person to our party and we were informed that we could not keep our 3:15 reservation if we added another person to our reservation. We would have to come at 6:00. So, we did not change the reservation. To our dismay the restaurant was not full and two tables next to us remained empty the entire time we were there. A bit expensive, a la carte, but they do have some specials which are worth the buy. All 4 of us was pleased. Service was excellent and same for the food. I had the salmon which was just plain salmon, which could be made anywhere, nothing special. Would like to have had some type of sauce on it which I've had in other restuarants. Some entrees like the totmato soup arrived lukewarm, which was unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber (not to mention these prices). Filet was delicious, as as was dessert. The house salad was way too onion-y for 2 of the 4 of us at the table.
The clincher of the evening was when the waiter looked at us and asked, "What can I get you guys?". Really? Guys? Should I even have to explain what's wrong with this?

Last year we were very disapointed with our waitress we had for many reasons. So because we love the food there we decided to go back this year and we could not beleive when we were seated and our same waitress as last year came over to serve us.
