Ruth's Chris Steak House - Bonita SpringsOne of our favoritesRuth's Chris restaurant is always one of our favorites, and we got to bring some friends to celebrate one of them having a birthday. The extra birthday touches on the table & dessert were very nice and appreciated. Some of us ordered a la carte, and others of us had the classics 4-course dinner. I had the filet + shrimp from the classics options, and it seemed overdone. The steaks are ALWAYS fabulous, but I didn't need that shrimp. We always love the salads & sides as well (creamed spinach + au gratin potatoes are always a favorite!). Our friends, who'd never been there before, really enjoyed it. I understand that this location is a franchise and has the ability to vary the menu. In this case it worked very well. I typically do not eat at Ruth's Chris, or Mortons, etc.... i would rather eat at a locally owned steakhouse, even though most of them are now owned by Ruth's Chris (bet many of you dont know that...) So, I should say locally operated....
I was quite pleased with my meal as well as my dining companion. Our portions were just right, and not the typical enourmouse portions. The preperation was fantastic on his steak and my scallops. The prices are as expected.

When the waiter and manager (?) found out it was his birthday, we got special attention, although not intrusive. We all had steaks. My sister (who never eats the entire meal) ate almost all of her steak. No one left with a to go box...unusual for the four of us and an indication of good food. The spinach side dish was perfectly cooked, sautéed but not overdone at all. The shoestring potatoes were not very hot so not as good. My partner received free dessert. When we arrived 15 minutes early we were immediately seated at a nice quiet table. Jason, our waiter came right over and welcomed us. I ordered a bottle great Brunello Di Montalcino and it was a great selection for our steaks. When Jason presented the Prix Fix Chef's Special, there was no to pass it up. I could still get everything I wanted anyway. We ordered the Filet w/seafood trio and the 16 oz. Ribeye. When we went to order the same side, Jason told us to get different because the portions were so big we could easily share and have an additional choice. The steaks were cooked to perfection and a taste that was some of the best beef I have ever tasted. Terry, Susan, and Heather go above and beyond to please their customers. But I have had an occasional less-than-perfect experience in the dining room, usually due to an inexperienced server. They have a children's menu and we always enjoy the filets at Ruth's Chris. We have gone to Ruth's Chris since they opened in Bonita Springs and when we want an "Awesome" Steak we think of Ruth's Chris!!
