  • "Started with the Tomato Mozzarella. The slices of tomato looked good until you peeked underneath and found that they were not ideal. Maybe it's the wrong season but I have higher expectations when three slices of tomato and three slices of mozzarella cheese are $12. As well, the "fresh basil" seemed not as fresh as I expected. I've made way better myself. The petite filet was perfect. Rare as ordered and tender. Potatoes Lyonnaise were in a small puddle of butter but were tasty. I was staying in the Embassy Suites and in my room was a $52 deal for a three course meal. There was nothing about that when I got to the Ruth's Chris menu and I really did not feel like bringing it up."

  • "Overall we were very disappointed with this dining experience. The steak was cut unevenly and not a very good cut (tough). We have gotten a much better ribeye for $20 at a lower end restaurant. Definitely not worth $140. The waiter was a little disappointing as well because he never asked my wife how her meal was, he only communicated with me. I did let them know that I did not enjoy my meal and never offered to reduce my bill and contact the manager. I could have pressed them a little but chose just pay the bill and get out. On a positive note, the sautéed spinach was good. But overall ... disappointing."

  • "The restaurant has good decor and ambiance and the wait staff was excellent. The only negative was my dish, which was lamb chops. They were average. The seasoning was not up to par and they were very tough. Other than that everything was very good."

  • "We have had a few recent opportunities to dine at Ruths Chris and they have been very enjoyable. The food is consistent and very great and the service by Larry is outstanding. Now that we have visited a few times Larry knows our preferences so its fun to ensure we get one of his tables as he takes great care of us. And if you have a special romantic occasion or business meeting they have a few little alcove acreas that are more private. This is also a great choice if you need to minimize background noise too."

  • "Went to Valentine's Dinner and Ruth's Chris did not disappoint. My fiancee had the petite filet and I had the fillet. They both were delicious, cooked as ordered, seasoned to perfection. We had a nice pinot noir and a side and appetizer, which all complimented the steaks well. Out waitress was extremely helpful and very nice throughout the evening. A great experience for a young couple on a special night."

  • "I brought my wife here for her birthday since she had never been before(we usually pick Flemings for steak). While our overall meal was good(steaks were the highlight and were cooked perfectly), the service could not have been worse. Usually when you have your steak delivered to the table the server comes by shortly after to check on it. We never saw the server again until after completing our meal. Further, we requested our wine be brought with the meal. This didn't happen until after we finished eating. While the food was good(mostly just due to the steak), this will be our last time at a Ruth Chris. If you're looking for a good steak and pleasant dining experience, I would go to Flemings."

  • "Fabulous steaks +4 guys = great dining. It was a Sunday night so fairly slow and our waitress was not as attentive as she could have been. All the guys had steaks and two had lobster tails as well, which were terrific. Price for filet and tail was $46, but at this restaurant you will pay $40 for steak alone. Everything is a la carte, so if you add salad or side plus a couple of drinks (glass of wine at $14), this is at least a $300 meal plus tip. For that price you can go to one of the 5 star Frank Stitt or Chris Hastings restaurants, but the anbience at Ruth's Chris is beautiful with the atrium, stream, etc. we will go back. My salmon was average so I recommend sticking with what grey do bet--steak."

However, my husband did not get the side he ordered & I had a difficult time getting a water refill with dessert. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our dinner. We were able to sit & visit with our friends without yelling at each other to be heard. A huge plus in my book."

  • "This was by-far the worst experience I have ever experienced at a fine dining establishment. The service was horrendous and the food was average at best. And please, let me be very clear that I am NOT that hard to please. Furthermore, we visited on a early Sunday afternoon when the restaurant was very slow. To say I was shocked and disappointed is an understatement. I have literally had better service at the local Chick-Fil-A. I will not be returning to this Ruth Chris and will adamantly warn my friends/colleagues to do the same. (Although the one in Buckhead-Atlanta is awesome). If you're looking for a fine dining establishment in Birmingham, go with Flemmings at the Summit or Hot & Hot downtown. This place will only disappoint."

  • "It was a perfect lunch. We were not forced to buy anything but their food was special still. I would have loved a Turkey option since it was Christmas. It was a nice leisurely lunch. My son had the biggest steak ever! I loved my salmon. But $8 for a side? Potato strings were much too oily. My cesar salad had fresh greens and light dressing the way I like it. Our server Gerardo was very good, informed us well and very courteous and attentive. I'll recommend."

  • "We've eaten at Ruth's Chris several times, several different locations and the food is always great! Steak is tender and tasty and the sides are good. (Creamed spinach is the best!). We've had the Barbecued Shrimp (New Orleans style) and the gumbo - both are very good. For dessert, Creme Brûlée and Berries & Cream are both excellent. I highly recommend Ruth's Chris!"

  • "After a Thanksgiving meal, it was nice that Ruth's Chris had a Black Friday special allowing us to enjoy the flavors of the filet. Everything was perfect except one issue we had was gnats were flying everywhere and we felt as if we were having a picnic outside. That is the only complaint. The wait staff and food were off the charts. We will be back particularly if you have a special every now and then like you did Black Friday."

This is unacceptable for the price point of $33.00 for lunch. This is not Outback or Roadhouse and this review should not be taken likely. I was embarrassed for my guest and the conversation quickly turned to over priced food and fluff. They need to get it right!!!"
