Our food was just as good as always and the service was very good. Our only grip was the water bugs crawling around in the atrium dinning area. I do believe its due to the garden like atmosphere. If I have a complaint it would be that the quality of the food, while very good, is not commensurate with the price point. I have had as good or better steaks in the Birmingham area for far less money. (Actually, the very best steak I've eaten in Alabama was in Jasper at Black Rock Bistro). I also balk at having to pay such exorbitant prices for (such small) side orders. The bottom line: the bang/buck ratio at Ruth's Chris is not optimal. ALWAYS Great Food and Service5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, excellent service!Great food! This is about the only place in Birmingham that has ever gotten my wife's steak right. The ribeye was flavorful, cooked medium rare, and the garlic mashed potatoes were creamy with just a hint of garlic. My wife had a filet with blue cheese crumbles that added an extra zing to her steak, and we enjoyed the seasoned vegetables. The lobster tail was firm but not tough, and was very flavorful. One thing to remember...the sides are easily enough for two to share. We finished our meal with a cappuccino and coffee, and topped that off with the chocolate sin dessert. Aptly named, served with seasonal berries...to die for!
