Rusty Scupper - BaltimoreFun Place on the WaterSecond time there. Was fabulous both times. The lobster and king crab is a must.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious atmosphereEverything was great! View, service and the food. Cream of crab soup was awesome and the shrimp scampi was superb!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMFood wasn't all that, wasFood wasn't all that, was expecting a little more. ordered a cream of crab, and I definitely won't recommende this. Services was great, our waitress Anthony was excelent and friendly.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMmy birthdayIt was amazing. Food incredible! Ryan our waiter was the best!!!!! Can't wait to come back. We came from Louisiana and it was great!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSimply Marvelous!!!!!The brunch is outstanding as well as the Jazz Band is a touch of class!!!!! I will always come again and again. Simply marvelous!!!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Mother's Day Brunch!Loved the relaxed yet romantic feel of this place. They seated us right away. The servers were very courteous and attentive, the food was fresh and delicious, plenty of good choices. The drinks were great as well, the desserts were tasty and plentiful. We rode the water taxi over to the restaurant, which was a beautiful sight and added to the excitement of the day, had a great view of the harbor at our table. The brunch was quite pricey, but it included the buffet, drinks, live jazz band and gratuity. There was a breakfast station, carving station, omlette station, seafood station and dessert station...great variety to choose from. We enjoyed our experience and plan to return.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat reconnecting againWe had not been to Rusty Scupper in Baltimore in over 15 years when I believe it was under different management. We had not been back, because we had a awful dinner and service. What a difference time has made! We had an enjoyable evening. The food was actually pretty good for Mother's Day limited menu. No one had any compliants about the service or the food. Our waitress was wonderful and very friendly. She made sure our dining experience was pleasurable. We will definitely return in the future. We have heard the Sunday brunches are wonderful. We do not get into Baltimore for dinner very often because we live in Howard County and work in Washington. The trip was well worth it!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Mother's DayOur Mother's Day was fantastic! We had two outstanding waiters, Victor and Wallace. They were very attentive and quite efficient. Our party consisted of 11 adults plus an 18-month old. The waiters were able to take care of all of our needs.
Also Julian, the maître'd, I believe, went above and beyond trying to arrange close seating for our family. He and I spoke the night before Mother's Day and Mother's Day and he was able to accommodate our unexpected change in reservations.
Not only was the food good, but the staff of the Rusty Scupper was cordial, hardworking and extremely efficient. I would highly recommend this restaurant.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a grieta dinner! The food and service were outstanding. We plan to go back soon.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellentThe service was excellent and the server was very knowledgeable. The food was delicious, but I think slightly over priced. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice. We made an online reservation and were seated right away. The parking was convenient, but although we had it validated, I believe it should be free for customers.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMJust Perfect! We were celebrating a special occasion & had family visiting. A friend recommended the Rusty Scupper & we are so glad she did! The view was beautiful, it had nice ambiance, the service was excellent & the food delicious! I had the Rockfish & LOVED it. It was the perfect place for our special lunch. It was also a good starting point for giving our family a little tour of Federal Hill & Ft. McHenry.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMy experienceWas a great view and the food was good but fir the prices u pay its not enough small portions:( they also wouldn't fry my seafood combo they have verryyy Lil fried food. When I'm spending that kinda money cook my food the way I like it. N last my Long Island was watered down for 10$ I wanna good drink thank u:)5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat view and wine list done rightTook a family member to the Rusty Scupper for her first time; the view of Inner Harbor is great. Food was also great, and very good service. The wine list (unlike another restaurant I recently went to) had a good number of by-the-glass red and white selections, as well as a large number by the bottle.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Evening DinnerThe scenic view over the water was wonderful. Making a reservation was simple and I was able to add accents to the dinning experience by having flower arrangements delivered to the table. Even though I drove my own vehicle and did not utilize the limousine service, the fact that it is offered makes online reservations that much more convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodated our every request. The restaurant has a variety of menu selections and the food was excellent. I would definitely come back and dine at the Rusty Scupper again!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFamily favorite to celebrateIn Baltimore there are fancier restaurants more expensive restaurants, but for Birthdays and Anniversaries my family likes the Rusty Scupper. The fresh bread and spread make it hard to stop to leave room for the entree. This was a Birthday Celebration for my daughter. She thinks the crab cakes are the best in town. Quality: not quantity as she says. Not a single trace of shell. The veggies are prepared fresh and not over cooked. My mashed potatoes seemed a little hard. Maybe from being under a light but tasted good with the skins mixed in.
Our server was just right: never had to look for her but she was there when we needed her. Not too many "is everything all right?".
We look forward to our next meal there.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing BrunchMy husband and I met my parents for brunch for the second time in two years. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was energetic, thanks to a full house and a Jazz band. The buffet is expansive, with breakfast options, salad, seafood, a carving station, omelette station and more. I would highly recommend reservations (which we had for the first seating at 11am), as the place was pretty full by 11:30 and getting busier as time went on. Service is very good (even for a buffet, they were attentive and friendly) and you can't beat the view!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMSeatingThe food, service, scenery was awesome, but the seating was very tight and uncomfortable. Someone asked me about the sitting arrangements and because its very tight, they are not going to go to the brunch even though everything else was great. We went to celebrate my husbands birthday and he loved the food, but didn't want to stay long because we felt like sardines.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat service, though pricey. Our waiter was exceptional. No one told him it was my dads birthday, however he picked up on it and brought him out a complimentary piece of cake. We never had to wait for drink refills and all questions were answered very well. A bit overpriced, though.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, nice wineExcellent food, nice wine list, excellent view of the Inner Harbor Area, however, it is very pricy.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI scheduled my dinner reservationsI scheduled my dinner reservations two days prior and had to switch it to a later time and add one more person to the party and they did so no problem. It was quickly done and efficient. When we got there it was very lively and right at sunset and it was a gorgeous view of the Harbor. Our waiter was very polite and sincere. He had great suggestions for pairing the wine and our mixed drinks to cater our meals. The food was very delicious and would reccommend this place to anyone.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMunbelievable view, great service, unbelievable view, great service, food was good not great5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe view is an added bonusThe view is an added bonus when dining at the Rusty Scupper. We made reservations so our wait time was minimal. The service was average or maybe a tad below considering the crowd was reasonable for a saturday night. The waiter was polite but did not seem pressed with going above and beyond. He did not go over specials as I noticed the other servers doing and checked on us once. Had I not put myself through college waiting tables and bartending I would have left a note and not the 29% tip. The food was average and arrived quickly.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThey gave me a great tableThey gave me a great table with a fantastic water view for my anniversary celebration. The service was great and so was the food. The only problem I had was they put the wrong flowers I ordered on my table. The problem was quickly resolved.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThe restaurant is right onThe restaurant is right on the water and we had a window table with a very nice view of the Inner Harbor and the inside decor was attractive. Rusty Scupper uses a teaming system where each table had 2 waiters or waitresses. Both were friendly, very attentive and knowledgable of the menu. The view and service are the high points. The food was good but not great and the pricing seems very high for what you are getting. It would be hard to walk out feeling like you had received a good value. The noise level is somewhat high and there was random piano music from the other side of the restaurant. This was a little distracting, but you could still carry on a conversation at the table. Overall, a pleasant but not memorable experience.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, superb service!Great food, superb service! The customer really is number 1 at Rusty Scupper.Fried calamari (recommended by our server) was fantastic--crispy, not at all greasy, and definitely not the rubber bands that some places serve. We all had rib eys--cooked 3 different temps--all were cooked as ordered. Server introduced us to regional fave desert of Smith Island cake (with almond biscotti ice cream). I thought it was dry, but others at the table raved about it.Gorgeous view of the harbor and a FREE shuttle back to our hotel. Will definitely return if I'm ever back in Baltimore!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWas great from start to finish! Was great from start to finish! Excellent view of the inner harbor complemented by a very knowledgeable waitress who was excellent. She knew the menu well and the wine list also. Made some great recommendations based on our preferences. Ambiance complimented by live piano player. Wish I had gone there sooner!4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways hold in our hearts!!!!!I can't say enough about our wonderful experience dining here. Our trip was revolved my 97 year old Father-in-law who is a WWII vet. We were taking him to DC to see the WWII memorial and spent some time in Baltimore. When the manager at Rusty Scupper heard this, they acted like he was a rock star!! They rolled out the red carpet and treated him so kindly!!! It was an evening we will always hold in our hearts!!!
The food was wonderful, the service was great and the view was exceptional!!!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMI was there with my mom andI was there with my mom and grandmother. The food was great! The noise level was off the charts and detracted from the ambiance. We were wondering if there is anything in place to address the patrons that get and stay too rowdy like a friendly reminder of some sort they are not the only one's there! We could not really hear the band due to the noise over powering them. Other then that we enjoyed ourselves. The table was good - my grandmother requested one by the window and was pleased.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food, service andExcellent food, service and a very enjoyable time.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a place where foodThis is a place where food comes second to supperior views and the ambiance. We've done Sunday Brunch there before and that was excellent. Our lunch this time, however, left us desiring much more when it comes to food: the crabcake was tasteless, cream of crab soup had no crab meat in it (do they dissolve it?) although it tasted good otherwise. The oysters were excellent, the "scupper salad" - just ok, fresh, huge portion though.
Overall - it was ok, not bad, great service, spectacular views. Will definitely return for the brunch buffet.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great window view;We had a great window view; great service and great seafood.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing view/location. veryAmazing view/location. very good food with excellent service4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMNot a bad jointAwesome inner harbor view but the food left a little to be desired. Ordered an appetizer of crab cakes, paid $17 for 1 crab cake! Food was ok, nothing to brag about and the prices were a little too high for my blood!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy first return to the ScupperMy first return to the Scupper in a few years. Nothing has changed. It is still one of the best dining locations on my list. When visiting Baltimore, its a must visit. If you enjoy fine dining with a very nice piano accompaniment, this is the place.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had eaten seafood a lotWe had eaten seafood a lot lately, so we shifted to steaks, ordered the oyster sampler and filet mignons. These were done exactly to our liking...one rare, one medium rare. The steak was so tender it probably didn't need to be cooked. Service attentive..perhaps a little lack of experience. We live in the neighborhood and will be back.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat viewsAwesome location on the harbor, views can not be beat. Food is equally as good.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMOur service was great. I hadOur service was great. I had requested a table with a view and that's what I got. A fantastic view of the harbor. The food was delectible and truly something to try again. I have always loved dining at the Rusty Scupper and it has never failed to mesmerize.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMlovely Sunday brunchLove this place, food is excellent! Will definitely go back!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellentThe service was excellent and the selections of food is definitely worth the price of the brunch. A wide variety of choices for dessert. The bread pudding with rum sauce is the best I have tasted.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food great night family nightHad great night with my kid service was outstanding . The crab soup was amazing as well as the crab cake the cold seafood had the best oyster I had in long time.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMNice spotWe went before going to an event in Baltimore. The server was attentive and the food was delicious. The fish is fresh, well prepared, and nicely presented. Parking on-site was very convenient. We traveled from the Philly suburbs and will be back.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMTruly great service. I tippedTruly great service. I tipped extra because the waiter was more than polite about accommodating our requests. Food was yummy, although the portions are as expected at a higher priced restaurant (much smaller than what you're paying for).4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMeal was outstanding, theMeal was outstanding, the staff was great. Portions were fair for price. Went for aniversary meal our table was spectacular, staff surprised us with a complimentary glass of champaign. Hotel shuttle was convenient and the driver remembered us. Can't recommend it enough4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMwonderful maryland crab cakesThe food was delicious! I shared the crab dip appetizer and had crab cakes as my entree. The view of the inner harbor area was beautiful, even on a cloudy day. Service was very good, and we also enjoyed the in house piano player. I would consider this restaurant well suited for a special occasion or date night, although I did see several couples with young children who also seemed to be enjoying the restaurant. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends!4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Harbor views and foodThe Harbor views and food each spectactular. Highly recommend the black and blue Swordfish.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch was great. Lots toBrunch was great. Lots to choose from. Only odd thing was the Open Table reservation was for 10:45 but they didn't open until 11am on Sunday for brunch.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMOur dinner was amazing andOur dinner was amazing and our waiter was excellent! He was courteous, informative and was very observant. It was an AWESOME day and topped off with an AWESOME meal!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner for a party of fourDinner for a party of four - seated as soon as we arrived and had excellent service. Crab starter was great - had a selection of seafood and one steak - all of the food was outstanding. We will return and bring guests!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDeliciously BeautifulBefore being seated, we decided to enjoy the bar. My boyfriend and I had made reservations online and were able to bi-pass the 45 minute wait! While the bar was small and crowded, the drinks and wine list are worth it. Our table was ready on time, right on the edge of the water overlooking the beautiful views of the inner-harbor. With the drinks, meal, and view, we had no room for dessert but still did not want to leave. We can't wait to go back!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I had a thoroughlyMy wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We were seated promptly at a table with a great view of the harbor which I had requested. Our waiter, Michael, was very personable, even striking up casual conversation. Very professional. Dinner and drinks were very good, especially the Ahi tuna appetizer. He also brought a piece of the most decadent chocolate cake with a candle to my wife for her birthday. All in all, we had an excellent evening.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AM
