  • "My good friend and I enjoyed a wonderful brunch last Sunday. The food was excellent, service was even better and the music pulled it all together."

  • "I was very pleased with my bunch experience at the Rusty Scupper. The variety of food was great, it was delicious and the service was excellent. Can't wait to go back."

  • "My family and I have been coming the Rusty Scupper for the last 5 years or so and we love the Sunday Jazz Brunch. The atmosphere is really relaxed and we just love the views overlooking the Inner Harbor. The food selection is exquisite and tastefully arranged all within a reasonable price. Even my father who is very hard to please really enjoyed himself. We're just sad we can't enjoy this on a Saturday Morning as well."

  • "I would say the Sunday Brunch is a must-do at least once when visiting Baltimore. The views are wonderful and the food selection amazing. Our waiter was a bit overzealous, taking plates the second we were done and filling juice and coffee so full we couldn't pick it up without spilling, otherwise service was great; three omelet stations ensured short wait time and hot buffet trays were always filled promptly. Parking validated for a reduced rate (we were there about 2 1/2 hours and paid $8). Brunch is pricey, but a wonderful experience. We had two older children with us and they both had a great time: jazz band entertained and the dessert options were endless!"

  • "My fiance and I came to this as part of our engagement weekend and it was the perfect place to come for a romantic dinner. Piano was playing throughout dinner, great view from all of the seats in the restaurant, a large wine list, great food, and amazing service! We will definitely be coming back every year to celebrate!"

  • "We went here for our anniversary and the restaurant was very loud. We had heard great things about it but the food was disappointing. The fish was dry and nothing special. Would not go back again."

  • "1st time at the Rusty Scupper. Atmosphere was pleasant w/ scenic view of the harbor. Waiter was knowledgeable & attentive w/out hovering. We ordered both of the features for the night based in his review. We were pleased with both orders!"

  • "I never write reviews but this past experience brought me to this moment.... For being rated so highly on the internet, i expected a lot more from this place. Especially for how much you pay for things here. I had a rib eye which was downright horrible. The meat looked grey and the quality was just poor. For 39 bucks, you'd expect at least a decent cut of meat. In this case it was just bad. I would've been better off going to my go to spot for steak at Ruth's Chris. I added a crab cake to my meal and that too was an utter disappointment. It was about the size of a small ice cream scoop and had too much filling. I had high hopes for this place but if failed. So many other good places to eat for half the price and better quality."

  • "We came to Rusty Scupper for the Sunday Brunch to celebrate our friend's 62nd birthday. She really enjoy the food, music and the atmosphere."

  • "Great food and helpful staff. Seated quickly and enjoyed the view."

  • "Honestly, I have never heard of this place. We were only here because it was my cousin's birthday and he got to choose the place. I was impressed with the view and impress with the location. However, I was not impressed with the food. The server, Sam, was fantastic."

  • "Outstanding from start to finish. Could not have been better. Our "out of the country" guest was very pleased and impressed."

  • "Iconic Baltimore location-- fun place to take visitors to Charm City. Great crab cakes! Our favorite is the bread with red roasted pepper dipping sauce. Thanks that the restaurant is wheelchair accessible."

  • "My wife and I had a great time! The many windows allow for multiple scenic view."

  • "Having dined at Rusty Scupper for years I was disappointed with our experience this weekend. The service was sub-par; our appetizers were forgotten; and the food unremarkable (the soft shell crab bruschetta was inedible and burnt). The view was great as usual, but even that will not be enough to make me return."

  • "White linen and full service, fine wine list, and live light piano music serenades MD classic dishes. The food is good, but it does take second stage to the location with panoramic view of the Inner Harbor. Try the chef's specials, seasonal choices include fresh, in-season seafood, local vegetables and even some sauces made with seasonal fruit. For apps: wide raw bar selections, the fried oysters are an excellent start for two. Prices are high for some dinner entrees, but the impeccable service, atmosphere created by piano standards, and the best view of Baltimore, hands down makes this a date night must. Don't forget dessert, share the bread pudding, it won't disappoint! Walk off the calories on the promenade or steep streets of Fed Hill."

  • "We sat at a window table so we could see the entire Inner Harbor, fantastic! The food was terrific; my plank salmon with crab was flavorful with just the right zip in the sauce. My husband had surf and turf; it arrived with cold sides so it went straight back to the kitchen and the replacement was back in a flash. We had a great dinner!"

  • "A coworker an I were looking for a Seafood place while in Baltimore attending a show. I have been to Oceanaire and love it, but thought we would try someplace different on the water. The Waitress was great, but the food was overcooked and dried out. My coworker had the Maui Maui special which looked good when it came out, but was overcooked. Even the asparagus was rubbery. I had the broiled combination and the shrimp were rubbery as was the scallop. We were there at 6:00 PM on a Friday night and it was empty, which should have been a clue."

  • "My husband and I stopped in on our way home from visiting our son at the US Naval Academy. We've enjoyed many great meals here before and this was no exception! Our server was friendly and efficient, our dinners were excellent and the view was outstanding!"

  • "The view was amazing. Our seat (table for 2) overlooked the bay and we were seated just as the sun was setting. The noise level was fine and the space between tables didn't make me feel cramped. The food was good, but not great. When I order jumbo lump crab cake, I expect just that. When I order jumbo stuffed shrimp, I expect just that. There was a hint of crab in my cream of crab soup. There were a few lumps of crab meat in my wife's Maryland crab soup. We are used to lumps of crab in every bite, which is what we get at other area restaurants as well as ocean city and virginia beach since seafood here in MD is something that we take seriously."

  • "It's the second time in a month that I've dined here and it's becoming my go to place when I have visitors from out of town. The food is excellent, the view spectacular and for out of towners it fulfills the inner habor wow factor. Highly recommend it."

  • "My family always go to Rusty Scupper's for the brunch, usually for special occasions like birthdays, mother's day, father's day, and sometime just for the brunch. Have been there for dinner. It was my sister's birthday. We go at least three or four times a year. The food is always great, as well as the service and the view. A table for two in the corner overlooking the water can be very romantic. The combo at the Sunday Brunch is very nice. Discovered Rusty's about three years ago through a family member. It takes us about an hour's drive to get there from where we live, and it is worth the trip. That is why we keep going back. It is always a good time."

  • "For the price level of the menu, I was surprised that salad wasn't included in dinner price. Calamari was excellent. Shrimp scampi was probably one of the worst I've had. Shrimp was overlooked and lacking in seasoning. French onion soup had excellent flavor, but the chef was heavy handed on the salt (and I like salt). My husband had scallops. Only 4 scallops on the plate, bland flavor, sizes of the scallops varied, which to me, isn't great presentation for such an upscale menu. The veggies on top of the scallops were good. Service was good. We had two servers for a table of 5."

  • "There is a lot to be said about customer service these days. Upon being seated, the back waitress approached us placing ice water on the table and walked away. There was no greeting..nothing. There wss a foreign particle in one of the crabcakes. We called the waitress over to ask her what it was. Her response was "what does it look like to you?" Wow! The mgr quickly took.care of it though!"

  • "Mahi-Mahi was great, but overpriced. Ambience was lively and energetic + a nice view of the harbor."

  • "I would not return to this restuarant. Although the setting was gorgeous, the food was not that great and the service was so slow. We had been there for 45 minutes and just placed our drink order. My cream crab soup was extremely thick that I returned it. My fish was very bland. They served me my appetizer at the same time as my entree. When we asked our server for his opinion, he always started by saying, "well, I'm not really a white wine drinker or I don't really eat this or that much."

  • "My husband made our reservation on Opentable and noted that we were celebrating our anniversary and Rusty Scupper took it seriously. They gave us what I think is the best table in the place and the waiter congratulated us as well. It was a nice touch. The food was delicious, we shared the seafood appetizer and the only thing bad about it was the crab claws. They were super tiny and tasteless. We also got the scallops entree which was seasoned and cooked perfectly, not rubbery at all. It says on the menu that they are blackened but they cooked them differently for me as I do not like blackened. We also got the stuffed shrimp entree. It was a standard stuffed shrimp dish. Our waiter was a little awkward but efficient. We had a very nice time."

  • "We were married there five years ago. The event staff was very helpful and gratious. The cost was competitive. We go back regularly to celebrate our anniversary The food is wonderful and the view from tbe dining room is first rate."

  • "The Rusty Scupper is located on the Inner Harbor within walking distance of many tourist destinations. They welcomed groups. The servers were attentive. They had great seafood and wine. The beer list was not as extensive. Casual attire. A special occasion place because it was expensive."

  • "Saw great reviews for the Rusty Scupper. Stopped in for dinner on our way to DC. The Chilled Seafood Platter was a poor representation of the Maryland Waterfront. The shrimp were small and not very tasty, the crab claws tiny and tasted defrosted. The lump crab has too much dressing and the oysters not great. All this abuse for $56.00. The crab cakes were ok. Very disappointed."

  • "The harbor view was lovely, the table perfect, the service attentive......but, the food was average and showed the lack of a knowledgable palate. I had a sliced, rare tuna with seaweed salad and Wasabi aioli. Sounds good and the tuna was perfectly cooked. But, and it is a big but, the tuna had been crusted with an intensely flavored (sort of spicy barbecue flavor) that completely overwhelmed the tuna. I am not opposed to seasoning, but I want it to enhance what I am eating, not bury it. I do not trust a chef that would make this kind of mistake."

  • "The Rusty Scupper is the place you want to go from the time you get off the plane at BWI. The giant poster on the way to baggage claim entices you with the notion of great food and ambiance with one of the best views in Baltimore. It was what drew me in. However; what I eventually experienced was less than what I expected. A restaurant on the bay, I was disappointed to find a place that wasn't polished as an advertisment. The service was excellent with excellent wait staff. But I found their signature cocktails to be too sweet, and their food too salty. Not to mention the high cost from everything from the appetizers to the drinks. In my opinion this establishment is a skip. Head to Fell's point for a tasty meal and nice walk by the water."

  • "This was the highlight of a somewhat disappointing visit to Inner Harbor. Delightful, unique and varied menu selections. Our waiter Hugh was extremely knowledgeable about each offering, made some great recommendations and totally made our evening a pure delight. Oyster sampler very good, and my seared scallops 'mustard sauce' was perfectly subtle. The bread dipping sauce of roasted red peppers, garlic and almonds was to die for. Overall extremely satisfied."

  • "My nephew from Austin, Texas said it was the fanciest restaurant he'd ever been in. He loved the popcorn shrimp and my crab cake was perfect. The little ones, 6 and 3, were transported by the view. We especially appreciated the fact that the restaurant gave us a discount on parking. A great place to takeout-of towners!"

  • "The view can't be beat. The food is very good. We had the cream of crab soup, the broiled seafood sampler and the fish and chips."

  • "A friend and I dined here last night despite reading some negative reviews...I always see their ad at the BWI airport and wanted to try it out. Being right on the water the scenic view and ambience is exceptional. The manager was great in getting us a table right away even though we were early. Our waitress was a little slow but eventually got into the swing of things. Great meal...we got the sea food combination platter - way too much food and the crab cake and shrimp was delicious. Definitely going back."

  • "Everything was perfect. My 18th anniversary went very well. Just like the day I proposed to my beautiful wife. The waitress surpised my wife by wishing us a happy anniversary and that was all we needed. That acknowledgement. She was talking about it the whole night. When she is happy I am very happy. Thank you for making this day a very happy one."

  • "We continuously enjoy the familiar atmosphere and the good quality food. Although this time the oysters seemed of lesser quality. Service was very attentive and catering to special needs."
