Russell'sAnother Great Meal at Russell'sThere are many fine restaurants in the Vail area, and some that are more "trendy" but none that are as consistently excellent. On this visit, we enjoyed the off-season pricing, which makes for a tremendous value. Service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable, and was attentive without being intrusive. My french onion soup was the best that I have had in years. My wife and I both chose the filet for our entree, and they were perfect. The portions were large enough that we didn't have room for desert. We prefer seating with a view of the creek, which is a bit noisy due to the bar, but the view is worth it. We only would expect with a reservation to had a good table on the front of the restaurant and not the back of the place. I think they should look this for good. Great steakhouse kind of ambience with nice twists on traditional dishes. Steak and seafood was outstanding, not to mention the Wiener Schnitzel! I would choosethis place again and again. A great way to celebrate the end of a well enjoyed family vacation.
