Four of us , had four different entrees. Steak, chicken and halibut were good but the salmon was not. They said it would be cooked on the rare side, but it was overcooked. It also had no flavor. Seating at our table was awkward with a pole right next to us, had to help waiters with the plates because they couldn't access that side of the table.

My wife and I had dinner on 7/30/2014 and brought a bottle of old wine for the occasion. When the bill came, it showed: "corkage ---$0". When I attempted to use a $50 coupon from amazon as part of the payment, I was charged $15 for the corkage! I guess using a coupon is not welcome at this place

Went to Russell's for the first time to celebrate the 1st anniversary for our son and daughter-in-law. Food was very good and service was outstanding. Was a little surprised, however, at the prices. This was not a cheap dinner. $15 a glass for wine that I can buy a full bottle for under $30. Entrees in the upper $30 range. Everything was good, just won't be coming back for a regular night out dinner.

Russell stopped by to say "Hi", dinner was fantastic. It will be a long remember evening for all of us. We will definitely be back. Thanks, Ron and Friends

Another great meal at Russell's. Within our group we had orders of crab cakes, salmon, halibut and steaks and all were excellent. Save just enough room to share the lusciously rich bread pudding & a creamy creme brulee. Wine list is well-rounded.

Recently went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. First time and loved it. Fantastic food, wine and attentive, friendly service. We had crab cakes as a starter. Very meaty, wonderful texture and delicious. My entree was the grilled king salmon and my wife ordered the scallops. Both were wonderfully done. Excellent cocktails and wine, too. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We were visiting Bothel and looking for a great meal. Open Table listed Russell's with good ratings. We made early reservations and away we went. Not easy to find. Located in the back area with no signs on the street. A quick circle led us to the front door. Promptly greeted and seated. Bar area was full of happy, but loud drinkers. Note the bar is partially open to the dining area. Noise in the dining area was somewhat loud. We were immediately greeted by a wonderful waitress. We started out with drinks that were mixed to our taste. Followed by crab cakes to die far. I am use to the flat patties style from Louisiana. These were thick and juicy. Great sauce. Wife had Mussells. She enjoyed them. We completed the meal with salads and lamb.

At Russell's, you can count on top quality, unpretentious food that is well prepared and quality, gracious service. Russell's has become a favorite of ours. They don't go overboard with trendy, odd food preparations like so many better restaurants now do. We like the atmosphere--classy but not at all stuffy, and casual at the same time. You can dress up or down for this place and fit in just fine. I love the sea scallops, but the pork chop is also a winner. One comment is that the spinach salad could use more of the other stated ingredients (almonds, cranberries, pancetta), which are barely discernible, to brighten the flavor and make it more enjoyable. Overall, we are big fans of Russell's and will keep coming back.

We have dined at Russell's a few times before and found the food lacking. Since we often hear people talking about it we thought we would try one more time. We had the halibut and the vegetable Napoleon. The halibut was overdone and dry. The vegetable dish was bland. The charcuterie plate before dinner was good. We thought this meal was the best we had had there but overall we feel all dishes were unremarkable. We won't be making the drive to this out of the way restaurant for average food again.

If you like a great steak, or salmon, halibut, chicken, duck, vegetarian, and you think the only good places for them are in Bellevue or Seattle, think again: Russell's is BETTER than those other restaurants! No traffic, beautiful scenery, great wait-staff, and a larger than average portion compared to Daniel's, Ruth's, Sullivan's or any of the other 5-star restaurants. This is truly the best 5-star restaurant in the Seattle / East Side region.

Fabulous tasting dinner. We had the king salmon and the pork chop. Our waiter thought he was a funny guy, we didn't go there to be entertained by his silly humor. Lovely place, it could have been a warm charming setting except for the wedding that was going on on the second floor. This restaurant is in a remodeled old barn with hardwood floors, the foot steps of the people above was very loud.
