A word from Rush Street
Chicago's rowdy Rush Street comes to Culver City in the form of a restaurant, bar and lounge. Executive chef Dave Northrup will focus on "bar-centric" dishes like buffalo chicken dumplings with blue cheese and fried shallot dressing, pulled barbecue pork sliders and Kobe pigs-in-a-blanket, plus grilled New Zealand lamb racks and brick oven-cooked pizzas.Continued

  • "I have a loved Rush for a few years now! I love the great food and ambience combo! Can't wait to go back soon!"

  • "The food was delicious, had the steak salad. The mac n cheese was so so...needed a little more flavor. Bison Burger a MUST!! Great selection of beers and we were able to watch the Arizona Wildcats. I Highly Recommend this spot!"

  • "The ambiance is a great fit for a first date. It is far from a dive but not overly pretentious. It's comfortable but upscale enough to impress. Most importantly, it doesn't distract from the main focus... the date. The food was amazing. I had been there previously and discounted the food assuming that lounge, outdoor patio and extensive bar were the main draws. It turns out the food was even better! The best part was that we could enjoy our meal and afterwards, change the scene without even leaving. A short walk upstairs provides a nice open lounge area complete with a bar and DJ. But my favorite is a few more steps away to the outdoor patio. We relaxed, enjoyed some drinks, and felt completely comfortable the whole time. I'll be back!"

  • "Great fun and dining! Burger was yummy and tasty ! Would come here again."

  • "First time to try lemon cheesecake, delicious. I have the turkey meatloaf and love it, but this time found too spicy. I am not sure what ingredient it has to make spicey, maybe red chili pepper, too much spice. My Drink was delicious, Old Fashioned. The hummus appetizer is great. Service with a big smile. Pizza good too."

  • "I dined at Rush last Saturday with a group of friends and had a wonderful time. We were served immediately and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Great drinks. While dining we enjoyed the music upstairs in the club area!!"

  • "I have lived in Culver for about 2.5months and I have already fallen in love with Rush Street. I keep saying I'm going to try other places and then I wind up back at Rush Street. Great staff, great food, great people watching from their outdoor section!!! Oh and the BEST Chicken Caesar Salad I have ever experienced!!!"

  • "Such a hip and cool place to go with friends! Tons of tables, 2 bars, and a fun ambience! I had the calamari, the baked mac and cheese and a side salad, along with a yummy special lemonade cocktail! I would TOTALLY recommend the calamari and the macaroni and cheese! They were killer good! The waitress was also very nice!"

  • "I've loved every single food item I've ever had at Rush. Their mimosa brunch is also yummy (if you can swing the $15/person), and the mimosas are nicely mixed (they're premixed in carafes brought plentifully to the tables). Never had a bad experience!"

  • "I have been to Rush Street 3 times in less than one month. I went during Dine LA then tried it again for Valentines Day. On both occasions they had similar fixed price menu options which were a very good deal. Their Mac N Cheese is super yummy, hot and bubbly. The cranberry salad was good and not over dressed. The crab stuffed salmon, steak and sides were very good. So much food I could only eat half. We went back the next day and got there too late for brunch. All they have between Brunch and dinner is individual pizzas. The pizza is very good. I will definitely go back to Rush Street special menu or not. I am looking forward to trying out the Brunch."

  • "Went there last Monday at 4:00 to meet business partners. Sat at a booth and immediately Samantha introduced herself and took our drink order. Super friendly and totally on top of the beer selection. When came time for food, we let Samantha take care of it all. We wanted to share small plates and started with the pork belly skewers and tuna tataki tacos - both awesome. Followed that with calamari, a pepperoni pizza and mac & cheese - again could not go wrong. Shared a slice of carrot cake for desert - super moist and huge portion. We were there for 4 hours, never felt rushed, food came quickly, service was impeccable and although it got packed past 7, it was still quiet enough to have a business discussion without raising our voices."

  • "I have had the turky meatloaf many times before, as always it was delicious. The spinach and brocoli with it also very good. The hummus plate for an appetizer is an nice variety of items, almonds, pcikled cucumbers, with three types of hummus. Great dish to share. I had a new server this time, and she was very friendly. But it is so nice when the manager comes over too and says hi. I am a regular and brought a friend with me.It was her first time, she also enjoyed the hummus and the hamburger. The restaurant is flexible too and will substitute vegetables for potatoes for example."

  • "I went to this place for dine in L.A week, this was my first time here and I truly enjoyed myself. The food was delicious, the service was good, waitress and busser, very nice and plesant. This is a great spot for sports fan and anyone who wants to hang out and enjoy a cocktail or two."

  • "4 of us gals dined there for Dine LA week. We all ooh'd and ahh'd over the mac & cheese. It's soooooo good and totally hits the spot. The portion size is HUGE for it being an appetizer option, but no complaints about that. My friends ordered the steak from the Dine LA menu and I ordered the chicken. I got the winner! Love it when that happens! Their steak was very tough. Blah. That's the last adjective you want to use when describing your steak dinner. They had run out of 1 of the desserts, which I remember happening the year prior at this place. I see a pattern here. Anyways, they all got the sticky toffee bread pudding and I got the lemon cheesecake. Both were good, but not great. Service was EXTREMELY slow. 2 hour dinner. FAIL!"

  • "The food was great, the mac n'cheese was awesome. Lemon cheesecake was great and so was butterscotch pudding. Parking free right across street!"
    Dined on 1/27/2014
  • "Our server was very attentive and friendly. We went for Restaurant Week and had things off the prix fixe menu. The mac & cheese might be the best I've ever had and the crab stuffed salmon was excellent. We didn't have room for dessert, but that didn't stop us from having the salt-caramel butterscotch pudding which was delicious. As some other reviews mentioned, the place can be quite loud. Maybe they could hang some baffles from the ceiling or something. Overall, a great experience and we would definitely go back."

  • "We always enjoy our time at Rush Street but for some reason, this one was better than normal. They had the Eat LA special and it was particularly good. My wife had the salmon with salad and desert. Great deal for the price."

  • "Like the title says, some of the most delicious pumpkin ravioli Ive ever had. The menu was great. The goat cheese galette appetizer was also divine. They gave me giant carrot cake on the house for my birthday with a little candle. (but don't worry, no happy birthday song (thank god!). They had the football play off game playing on the tv and it was pretty loud, but I didn't mind. Great for groups. Wonderful list of cocktails!"

  • "The space is really nice. High loft ceilings with cool wooden framework and beams. Exposed brick walls, etc. We had Spinach/Artichoke dip to start off with. It tasted great and came with spiced tortilla chips that I believe had Old Bay seasoning on them, really good. Next my wife had Pumpkin Ravioli which she really liked and I had a Burger. The thin fries were crisp and a nice portion and my Medium Burger was cooked pretty perfectly. It was delicious. Our waiter was pretty attentive and friendly. Desserts were pretty good- we had Sticky Toffee Pudding and Red Velvet Cake. Pretty Good Prices, Good Service, Nice Atmosphere, Valet Parking = RECOMMENDED"

  • "Rush Street is an excellent restaurant. There food is of high quality and service is very good too. The appetizer selection is excellent and the overall bar choices are above par! Very nice ambiance and great location in Culver City."

  • "I'm sitting and writing this review as I've been waiting for my server to see me for the last 19 minutes. If your server is Chris, run. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because their tater tots are delicious. Everything else is mediocre."

  • "It was a beautiful morning so sitting outside was a must. We were the first there so seating wasn't a problem. Hostess was great as was the server. Though to brunch was really good, it was too much and I ended up wasting 1/3 of it."

  • "Having heard good reviews years ago we finally found ourselves in Culver City and decided to try Rush Street for ourselves. Unfortunately it seems we waited too long, Rush Street is clearly past its prime. More of a bar than a restaurant the atmosphere loud and the bulk of the tables are oriented towards large screen TV's. Even though we had reservations they sat us at the table closest to the entry door. At one point the manager insisted in propping the door open (even though it was winter). When asked it we could close the door or move tables (there were plenty of open tables) he unapologetic and begrudgingly closed the door. Most patrons were there for the drinks as well they should be because the food and service are poor."

  • "Had a reservation for 7 people. We were seated at the exact time of our reservation. Server was really nice, very patient and food came quickly. Food was gastropub type food. Great selection of items, so all were happy with the menu. More of an eating and drinking experience than a dining experience, but really met our needs well. Very loud scene - but that's OK - that's part of the charm of the place. Not for romance, not for fine dining - great for a decent Sunday brunch with friends in the middle of Culver City. Also very reasonably priced. Except for the noise, we had none of the negative experiences to whihc other reviewers have alluded. I'd recommend the place."

  • "The drinks are reduced and the price is right. Adam is the best server!!!! I tried the pork belly appetizer very tasty, the mac and cheese looks beautiful and was very tasty. It served like french onion in a crock with melted cheese on top,"

  • "Too noisy for a conversation. Go here with people you don't care to talk to and just watch TV. That is what everyone does."

  • "Anyway, the food was fine and arrived fairly quick. The drinks were great too. The restaurant area gets louder as it gets closer to 10pm in preparation for the "club" scene."

  • "We were a party of 5 during lunch on a Monday. It was not too busy so service was definitely good. We all had different meals and they were good as well. The only comment/complaint was the chipotle sauce was really spicy on two of the meals. I really liked my butternut squash press. The chicken and corn chowder was nice as well. I will definitely come back to try dinner."
