  • "Tea at the Banff Springs Hotel should be a tradition with every couple. Tiny sandwiches, perfectly steeped tea and mountains surrounding a river valley makes for a romantic scene. Over priced but worth that moment. Go for it...but only do it once."

  • "Last Saturday, we five friends enjoyed a gracious and leisurely afternoon tea in the Rundle Lounge at the Banff Springs Hotel. Our waitress was pleasant, informative and attentive. We enjoyed finding out about many different teas and trying three different ones. We enjoyed the "light lunch"- the fruit, sandwiches, sweets and macaroons. Most of all, we enjoyed the opportunity to have a relaxed two hour lunch with animated conversation and a view over the golf course and out to the mountains. "Afternoon tea" was a visually sensual, soul-refreshing pause; tea to a "T"."

  • "Afternoon tea at the Rundle Lounge was a unique dining experience. The service was top-notch and the food was delicious. We especially appreciated the scenic views from our table and also the attention to detail with the whole experience. We had a child with us and she was truly treated like a princess! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone lookin for something special and unique to do in Banff!"

  • "Staff is incredible food is delightful and you won't find a wider variety of teas with such a magical ambience. Unfortunately, service was horrendous due to lack of proper staffing. Comp'd our champagne upgrade however did not offer a tea box to ladies who did not order champagne. Would still go back again when in Banff - a must for tea and Jane Austen lovers!!"

  • "I was having the absolute worst day and this tea cheered me up 100%! Our server, Bernice, was really sweet and very knowledgeable about the teas. She gave us plenty of time to enjoy the afternoon and made sure our stay was pleasant. She definitely went above what was required of her. The food and tea was great, and I'm looking forward to tea at the Fairmont again soon."

  • "A beautiful view, tasty tidbits, a great selection of teas, good friends makes for a perfect experience. We had the added bonus of being at the Rundle on a quiet early afternoon midweek in February. We will do it again!"

  • "We had 7 people in our party and I know that all 7 of us had an absolutely wonderful time. We felt vert welcomed and the services was excellent. The servers were very friendly and accepting of our very lively group. It was the perfect place to have a pre-wedding celebration for my niece, with all the women in our family attending. Thank you."

  • "Took my parents here for their anniversary, and they did everythingthey could to make this experience memorable. They bought my parents a plate of chocolate and a glass of champagne each that was all complimentary of the resturant. The food was great you could smell them baking fresh scones with eating your lunch. Would recommend this reaturant to everyone."

  • "High Tea in the Rundle Lounge at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel is something everyone has to do at least once. I had this opportunity this weekend with my niece who is 14 years old. We both loved it, the food was all amazing, the ambience perfect, the view so spectacular you forget to chew. Honestly breathtaking, we loved it! : ) Every drop !"

  • "We went for high tea, with the extended family for Christmas. Fortunately the weather was good, so the drive up was pleasant. We have often had lunch in the rundle lounge but not the high tea. We decide to try the high tea. The do quite a production with the tea which was a lot of fun, and allowed everyone to experience some different teas, everyone did enjoy their tea selection. The food is deceivingly filling. At first it looks like hardly anything, but in the end we had a carry out box with untouched pastries. I think the scones are filling, they are excellent scones. The view of course is spectacular."

  • "My girlfriend and I decided to partake in Afternoon Tea at the Banff Springs for a date day. Upon arriving, we were greeted with extremely friendly and welcoming staff, however the waitress who greeted us at the more "exclusive" Afternoon Tea section, was a very lack lustre. She didn't exchange any pleasantries or small talk and seemed as though she was very tired or disinterested in ensuring a positive dining experience. She sped through the featured teas, had no explanation as to why the table beside us, (who had arrived nearly 10min after we sat down), received their appetizer scones before us, and she also excluded any explanation as to what was on each level of the tiered serving plate."

  • "Finished a weekend away with afternoon tea. The teas were lovely as were the little treats. A bit pricey but that is expected when you have a Fairmont Afternoon Tea. Definitely a "treat" versus a regular occurrence."

  • "My daughter and I really enjoyed high tea at the Castle, there was a very good selection of tea and the food was very very nice, and plenty of it. Staff were lovely and the view is spectacular!"

  • "My family and I attended this tea in celebration of my birthday. The views were lovely and the whole experience was enjoyable. There were about 20 or so teas to choose from and your server took the time to go through each one and had samples to smell. They brought finger sandwiches and sweet treats as well. They knew it was a birthday event so topped my tray with a sparkler and a chocolate "happy birthday" plaque as well as a chocolate covered strawberry. I would recommend this as a nice little special activity any time!"

  • "This was a birthday treat for my friend and I. We loved eveything. Our server started with an excellent description of the teas. Our server was warm and friendly and never appeared rushed or impatient. It was an elegant, relaxing and delicious dining experience with a spectacular view. I would recommend this to anyone for that special occasion."

  • "We began my mom's 75th birthday celebrations in the Rundle lounge, and we had afternoon tea. We threw the chef a curve ball as I have an egg allergy and my daughter has a dairy allergy, the food they made for us was AMAZING, best chocolate cake ever. The chef even came out to speak to us and said he was looking forward to the challenge we had given him. We sat by the windows overlooking the Bow Valley and mountains, the view is fantastic. I would recommend this experience to everyone."

  • "A friend and I recently went to the Banff Springs Hotel for their afternoon tea service. It was absolutely amazing. Such a beautiful view of the mountains paired with the highest quality teas and the most decadent little scones, pastries and tiny sandwiches. It was truly enough to fill us for lunch and everything was so delicious. Great outing for two best friends. Would love to come back and take my mom."

  • "Insane views if window seating an option and if a corner window you're truly on top of the world. Tea selection excellent but not amazing and fresh preserves, baked scones and clotted whipped cream is excellent. Service above average but not as high quality as it could be. The afternoon tea is actually really poorly served with negligent staff that don't step up to client expectations - likely result of serving masses of tourist for a long time..."
