The service was impeccable attention to detail on every level. We were with our rambunctious 3 year old, mother in law and 16 year old attending cranbrook. Everyone's expectations were met we will be back. Wonderful food great service a must for finer dining breakfast and through dinner.

When you go to the Rugby Grill you know you will be treated grand. The food is fantabulous, the service is "special", and you will feel like you are "regal"! Jose' our waiter is a very special man. His attention to detail is always spot on. His kindness is real, and he makes you feel that all is well and you can just sit back and enjoy your eating experience. We always request his area. The Rugby Grill is great for fine dining for evening. It is wonderful for breakfast. We enjoy breakfast because the coffee is the best! The bread basket is great, and the quiet atmosphere is nice for talking. You won't be a bit sorry if you visit this special place. The hotel is lovely as well.

The service was excellent, it's a small place fit into the hotel's "expensive" setting. Although the food was good it definitely didn't meet the standard for the money. One of our group didn't like the steak (over $50) because it had no flavor. I also understand marking up the wine prices but they as well were over the top. I suppose can afford to stay at the hotel and don't want to walk to some of the other dinning establishment in Birmingham you would find this to be OK. Or maybe because they are in the hotel they feel the prices are justified?

My husband and I went to Rugby Grille to celebrate his birthday. The service was outstanding and contributed greatly to the five star rating that I gave them. The environment was beautiful, but I was very disappointed to see most of the guests dressed in jeans and flip flops. The food was delicious, including a sweet bottle of wine we ordered that was impeccably presented.

Brought a friend from out of town. Great ambiance. We both had lobster omelet. But something was missing. Until we got to the Boursin cheese, it was very bland/no flavor. My husband had eggs and sausage which was fine. Service was great as always.

We've eaten here several times and always loved it but this must have been an off day. Food was good but it took a long time getting it. Service was not good which could have caused much of the problem. Restaurant was not that busy so we hope this isn't a trend rather than just a bad day.

Food for as wonderful. This was a special occasion and first time visit to Rugby. We were sat on what appeared to be a hallway converted to extra dining space. This would've been OK if the corridor had also be closed off to accommodate diners. However it remained a very busy corridor with a wedding party bustling through with awful perfumes, colognes, noisy children and a loud DJ. No one from the Rugby staff even attempted to manage the noise level or ask those of us seated in the area, if we were bothered. For the cost, I would not go back or recommend. There are other restaurants in the area with superb food, service and better ambience.
