We were there as a group, the rib appetizer was fabulous, the pot sticker appetizer was excellent but left you wanting a little bit more. We all had ordered the Mahi Mahi, was excellent but needed a little more salt (all 3 of us added more). Wine list appeared extensive and pricey.

my first time at Roys, decided to try someplace new for my anniversary, I picked based on the yelp star rating. However it was not a 4 and a half star rating. The food was okay did not leave there saying this would be a place that I would recommend or return. It was a very noisy atmosphere so if you looking for a romantic spot that would not be a restaurant to choose.

I heard only good things about Roy's and then I went and was completely let down. The place had the smell of dampness and mildew. The scene was very loud and the food sub standard of a high end eatery. Very disappointed in Roys and won't return.

Restaurant Row has gotten a little tired, a little aged, but finding Roy's has definitely given it a recharge. We were thoroughly impressed with the service ... friendly, helpful servers who went over the top when they learned it was our anniversary. Their suggestions were quite helpful. We loved the spiced pork ribs and the caprese salad. The drinks weren't too pricey and were perfectly proportioned. Chef Mac's local creations are impressive, too. We enjoyed the double-cut pork chop and teppanyaki shrimp. We will be back!

Ate at Roy's during the Orlando Magical Dining Month and everything was excellent. Smaller menu, but full-size offerings. Food was delicious—lobster pot stickers are my favorite. My mahi mahi melted in my mouth, and my husband's filet mignon was done perfectly (medium rare). Service was excellent—some of the best we've ever experienced. We were seated in a side room, so the noise level was lower. Had an early reservation so parking was easy. The restaurant and parking lot were packed when we left about 6:45 pm. We'll definitely return.

The ambiance is romantic. The food was great, but I was expecting that. What really sets Roy's apart is their service. There were 3 other people who brought food out and refilled drinks, took plates away and set up silverware for us. While customary at fine dining restaurants, the staff was so friendly and courteous that it has to be mentioned. Our waters were never empty and our edamame plate was always full, which was incredibly impressive, considering the 6 of us were hungry.

When we arrived the seating area was not crowded, but it took the receptionist 3 time to re-ask for our name before being seated. It took awhile for the food to arrive and the manager came by the table to see if they had taken our order. Our server was excellent and polite, not her fault for the delay in receiving food. The appetizers appeared to be pre-made, which was cold and not very tasty. The main entrees were fine. I had the Mahi-Mahi and the fish was cooked perfectly but had no seasoning. Previous two times we ate at Roy's the food was excellent. I'm not sure if we will ever go back.

I love Roy's. This is the third year we have selected them as one of our Magical Dining experiences, and they do not disappoint! from the lobster potstickers to the filet mignon to the chocolate soufflé, everything was excellent! The potstickers were crisp, and the sauce was amazing. Some of the other "magical" places do not include any sides with their filet. Roy's has mashed potatoes, asparagus and broccolini. As with all their dinners, we were served edame before we ordered. And the melting chocolate soufflé is a guest favorite because it is incredibly good. I highly recommend Roy's for both 'magical dining" and for any night out.

We've been going to Roy's for years; favorite place in town. So it was quite surprising what happened when we brought 3 friends with us this time around. 1) With a reservation for 8:30 we weren't seated until nearly 9, 2) everyone decided to try the Magical Dining menu, which is a 3 course set menu. To our dismay only 3 deserts arrived for the five of us. When 2 of us sat back and waited for the remainder to arrive we were given a sheepish message by our server - 'we're only serving 1 desert for 2 guests'! No restaurant has split any courses between guests during the last 3 Magical Dinings. Finally, 2 of the 3 checks were incorrect. For a place that we use as the standard to judge other eateries, this was a huge disappointment.

I chose this restaurant for a business dinner after a lengthy search of Orlando restaurants. I was hesitant to go with a chain, but I had previously had a good experience with Roy's in Baltimore and one in Orlando many years prior. As it turns it out, I am very happy I chose it this time! The service was impeccable. They were present but unobtrusive throughout, they called me by name, and the dinner recommendations were perfect. I had only eaten seafood on previous visits, but this time we both had steaks and they were cooked to perfection. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant!

We recently enjoyed a night at Roy's as a result of the Orlando Magical Dining promotion. The food was great, as was the service. Other restaurants we have visited provided lesser quality food and service because of the promotion. So happy to see that Roy's understands the value of enticing new patrons...

Decor was nice, food seemed inconsistent and overall service was incredibly SLOW. Meal for two, it took nearly 3 hours for us to eat from Drink order through Dessert. Appetizers (lobster pot-stickers) were a miss, and tasted like over-fried frozen food. the Salmon dinner, however, was exquisite and totally fit for foodie. May have to try it out again, but not sure its worth it given the price.

We had the magical dining menu. It was great although our proteins (mahi mahi and filet) were a touch overcooked. Standouts were the short rib app, filet, hawaiian martini, and choc soufflé. We were right near the kitchen and expeditor which was loud but we didn't mind. If you want a romantic/more quiet night request a booth or away from kitchen. Service was pretty much perfect.

Salmon entrée & filet were very good, mahi tasted old and strong. Dessert chocolate souffle was divine. Overall: Not so sure we would go back. Okay but with many dining options in the area, probably go somewhere else

We ordered off of the Magical Dining Menu, a special menu for the month of September. While the food was good, the appetizers and dessert were exponentially more original and flavorful than the entrees. Our complaints tend to echo other reviewers--the restaurant was very loud, to the point that it was difficult to converse with my dining companions, and there seemed to be an excessive number of servers attending to our meager party of four.
