  • "I am typically not in the habit of sharing my opinion but when something is so outstanding or outrageous - I share. I first discovered Roy's in Hawaii and fell in love. Since then, I have been to several others (Chicago, Palm Springs, etc) however with family in Orlando - it's been our most frequented. We have been over 2 dozen times to this location and it never fails being the best. Good food is not cheap, however walking out you feel like you've made one of the best decisions in your life. The food, the drinks, the service leaves nothing to be desired. They have a great happy hour I believe every day and if you sign up for their emails, you'll be notified of specials. Thank you Roy's for always providing an outstanding experience!"

  • "It had been awhile since we dined at Roy's so we stepped out for a romantic dinner for two. The service was excellent although the waiter was quite busy (understandable) and the support staff always made sure we were taken care of (water, cleaning up etc). The food was superb and I highly recommend the lobster potstickers and the Roy's Trio since you get the opportunity to taste three of their famous fish dishes."

  • "We really enjoyed our meal at Roy's. My wife loved the spareribs because she does not eat fish. I loved the trio of butter fish with a honey glaze, a macedamia nut crusted mahi mahi, and a barbecue grilled salmon filet. We eat at Roy's on special occasions and have never had a bad meal. They seem to give their fish more flavor than most restaurants."

  • "After a full day at the parks, out six-year-old fell asleep on the drive to Roy's....the type of deep, don't-even-bother-trying-to-wake-me-up-because-it-won't-work sleep that's frequently seen with young children. When we arrived at Roy's, we expected to be juggling his limp body as we tried to eat dinner. As the hostess seated us, there was a scurry of activity near our table. First someone carries a chair across the room, butting two chairs together, then another person appears carrying a plush pillow and blanket. Before we knew it we had a ready-made bed for our son. Food: Mom had the Butterfish (very good), I (Dad) had the Andouille Crusted Snapper (divine), and our 9-year-old had shrimp tempura sushi (good). Price: $$$"

  • "The restaurant was very loud and we couldn't hear a word our waiters were trying to say. It took 10 minutes after getting our dinner to get salt and pepper to give the tasteless Mahi some flavor because our waiter forgot after he was asked, by then it was too cold. I don't know why they don't keep salt and pepper on the tables!! Our waiters kind of disappeared so we couldn't get what we needed. We tried this resaurant when it first opened years ago and were just as disappointed but were trying to give it a second chance. Looks like we can cross this resaurant off our list!! We gave it a good try!!"

  • "I have been to many of the Roy's Restaurant locations. This location does have the great food and fish items that Roy's is noted for, however I find the ambience to be too noisy. It was difficult to have a normal conversation without shouting across the table. The bank of tables to the back of the restaurant were too close together and made for awkward service of food as well as the ability for private conversation. The service was outstanding and we were not rushed even though there were many diners to be seated. The waiter knew the menu and was able to make suggestions according to our preferences."

  • "Roy's was very nice. I enjoyed my appetizer which was the ahi poke. It was delicious. Sushi fans will really enjoy. My date enjoyed her watermelon salad. She had the surf and turf with the petite filet and half a lobster. I tried the lobster and it was tasty. The filet was overdone. Medium well to well done instead of medium. I got the ribeye and mac and cheese. My steak was underdone. Rare instead of medium rare, but that's ok by me. I do know ribeyes are well-marbled which is where they get their taste, but mine was fatty. Did have a very nice flavor though. Mac and cheese was very good. We did not order dessert, but the desserts around us on the other guests tables looked amazing. It was very loud in the restaurant."

We are foodies and Roy's never disappoints us, service and food was excellent. Loved the new Butterfish Lettuce Wraps and the old time favorite Ahi Poke."

I had the Lobster Pot Pie which was sensational, followed by the signature Chocolate Souffle. My wife ate from the Prix Fix menu, which offers great value at 3 courses for just over $35. She also loved all her dishes. Can't wait to go back!"

  • "I took an im portant co-worker to dinner at Roy's. Our server was informational and effecient. The food was quality times 2. I had a Korean Pork Chop with kim chee rice. The combination worked perfectly. The tempura vegatables as a side for table was a huge hit. I love the unique combinations of food alway on the meu. It keeps me coming back."

  • "We always make a point to have at least one dinner here every trip we make to Orlando. Their steaks and seafood are cooked to perfection. They stand behind their dishes which alway amazes me. If you're not happy they will make it right. We ordered the filet mignon, petite filet and butter poached lobster, and Roy's trio from their regular menu, and the prosciutto wrapped shrimp from the chef's menu, everyone was more than happy with their choices. We also ordered the spicy korean chili fried rice and the truffled bacon mac and cheese, both were incredible. Make sure you save room for their pineapple upside down cake, chocolate souffle, and creme brule."

  • "We were able to secure a table about 20 min prior to our reservations. We immediately ordered drinks and a canoe appetizer. After another 10-12 minutes the waiter returned to explain the menu and we placed our order. Upon finishing our order, the waiter asked if we wanted to try an appetizer. This was a hint that they forgot to put in our initial appetizer order. After about 25 minutes upon our initial order for drinks and apps, the canoe arrived. The only problem was the canoe had items that weren't listed on the menu. I'm not sure exactly what they substituted, but it wasn't something we expected or liked. So our $28 app wasn't as good as we hoped. My potatoes on the Mahi Mahi weren't cooked and the filet had silver skin on it."

  • "Where to begin, first of all, our waiter was Michael, might be the best service I've ever received at a restaurant, in the world. Guy was, polite, helpful, clear and fast, but, we felt bad, my GF paid the check behind my back and ended up giving him a pretty lousy tip by mistake. Later this week we are gonna eat nearby and go ask for him to say thanks and tip what he deserves, so he does continue to provide the same quality of service to future patrons. Oh, and order the butterfish."

  • "Roy's never disappoints with the quality of their food. Hands down, the Misoyaki Butterfish is the best! I have to admit though, I was a bit disappointed that our waitress did not acknowledge that we are true and devoted Roy's patrons. We have visited every Roy's in Florida and every Roy's on Oahu, with many visits to this one and the one in Tampa. Usually, we have been given a complimentary dessert as regulars and for being part of the Roy's Ohana. We also ordered the Poke appetizer - excellent, but it does seem that the amount of ahi is decreasing as time goes by. The chocolate soufflé was delightful as always. We had brought a new guest with us, who is now also a devoted Roy's fan!"

  • "Last night of a week at Disney, we wanted to get off the Disney property and have a nice dinner. Roy's was the perfect place! Gorgeous decor, it took me right back to Roy's in Honolulu 15 years ago. The service was impeccable and every bit of food was delicious!! Unique combinations of sushi rolls started the meal. Spicy fried rice was great and the Ono was incredible. Chocolate soufflé and lemon box cake finished the meal perfectly."

  • "Two appetizers, three entrees, and two desserts took approximately two hours... unacceptable. The samosa appetizer was very oily/greasy, the "butterfish" did not taste fresh, and the good was generally forgettable. I would look elsewhere considering this place is quite expensive for Orlando."

  • "Had passed Roys many times on Sand Lake Rd. Finally went in. Great ambiance but the real highlight was the menu. So many things I could have ordered. I had the seafood hot pot. The seafood was delicious. There was a large piece of boc-choy which was good but hard to eat. Service was very attentive. We had several managers come over ensure everything was going well."

  • "I had been to Roy's on Maui and LOVED it. My husband and I decided to go to Roy's Orlando for our 31st anniversary. Whereas my husband thought his ahi was ok, the trio I ordered was not so great. The trio included butterfish, mahi and salmon. First, the pieces were ridiculously small. The butterfish had so much teriyaki you could not taste the fish. I had asked for all the fish to be cooked through, and the mahi came very raw, they took that back on a separate plate to cook it more. The salmon I got was disappointing. Right now is prime salmon time. Copper River King and Coho are in season, and they served farmed Atlantic salmon...REALLY?? Expected more"

  • "This was our first visit to Roy's Orlando and we will definitely return. Can't wait to return! Our server Mark was exceptional. Beginning with the complementary edamame and cheese quesadillas for the kids, our entire experience was a pleasant one. Standout dishes included Misoyake Butterfish, Prosciutto Wrapped Shrimp with Cheddar Grits, and Andouille Crusted Mahi, and the Bacon Truffle Mac and Cheese could be habit forming. They seem to understand that the service is a critical component to the whole restaurant experience."

  • "We celebrated our mom's 75th Birthday here and it was the perfect choice. They had a bouquet of flowers for the birthday girl and gave her a lava cake for dessert. Our server was perfect, who quickly resolved a small mishap from the kitchen. Everyone loved their entrees...and there was enough variety so that all 9 of us got what we wanted. We ordered a variety of appetizers, cocktails and entrees. I had the chef's prix fixe meal and for $35 it was a good deal... app was short ribs dim sum, entree salmon (perfectly poached) on a bed of asian greens, and carrot cake for dessert. My nephew had the sampler with fish and beef, my niece the bone-in rib eye. My brother had two sushi rolls, and mom enjoyed her scallops."
