Diner Reviews
  • "Dinner was fabulous but noisy sitting near bar happy hour!"
    Dined on 4/19/2014
  • "We had been to Roy's in Bonita Springs before a few times, but wanted a waterfront dining experience in Naples this past weekend. Booked through Open Table and Roy's called to confirm. They have valet service - as do most of the better restaurants in the area. I had requested a water view table. They did not have one ready and we sat us inside while they readied one. Apparently, you have to ask for an OUTSIDE table if you want one in spite of the fact that none of the tables inside have waterfront view. Semantics I guess. Anyway, balance of evening went well. We found out that while all Roy's have a core menu, each location has specialties and they are great"

  • "I have never felt more comfortable taking my young children to a fine dinning restrant. They make my kids feel special and were very attentive to their every need! We will be making this a tradition! "

  • "Roys has been a favorite for years, but no longer. The spring roll appetizer was dry and lacked flavor, especially the sauce. The butterfish, always a favorite seemed overdone as well. Even the wine just wasn't up to par. With all the other great restaurant choices in Naples, it will be difficult to return. "

  • "Always a wonderful meal at Roys. Food was exceptional."

  • "Dinner was great, service was great and the desert was awesome. Love going to Roy's, food is always good and the servers are always so friendly and professional"

  • "You can't go wrong with Roy's in Naples. It's beautiful. The food is delicious (try the 3 fish sampler!). And our services was A+. A wonderful night out away from the kids. Note, I don't believe this location serves lunch."

  • "Great place to celebrate a special occasion. They took our picture and gave us a free dessert. Thank you Roys."

  • "We dined at the popular restaurant on Thursday evening. The hostess was very welcoming. Some of us decided to take the pre-fix menu. There was only one choice of 3 items. Starter, Entree and Dessert. The food was good, though I have definitely had better previously. The waiter is an excellent waiter in high demand, so it took longer than we would like to, to place our order.... A good 15 minutes. But once that was done all was to a high standard. We will return to this restaurant again."

  • "We had a very pleasant server; however, the service was quite slow. The restaurant may not have had enough servers for the number of tables."
    Dined on 4/1/2014
  • "Very noisy .... difficult to talk . . . lots of large parties.... asked for an empty booth, but it was reserved. There were quieter spots open but they were not offered."

  • "There are lots of really good restaurants in Naples and some times choosing where to dine can be difficult. We like to avoid going to the same places time after time, but trying new places can be risky and can ruin an otherwise great evening if the food or service is below expectations. Roy's in Naples offers a delightfully sophisticated menu and outstanding personal attentive service at very reasonable prices. The menu has a distinctively polynesian influence and the execution using fresh local seafood is wonderful. We highly recommend Roy's to anyone seeking a memorable meal experience."

  • "Food was outstanding, service was excellent. Don't miss going to Roy's. One our favorites"

  • "Great selection of fresh fish on the menu. Good price point. Service could have been better"

  • "We had the calamari and ahi poke as appetizers and both were very good. I had the Black Cod entree which was absolutely delicious and my son had the ahi entree which was a perfect rare. My father in law did the prix fix 3 course meal with lobster bisque, pork osso bucco, and I can't remember what his dessert was but it was really good. My son and I had espressos that were perfect. The service was exceptional and very attentive. We will certainly return and look forward to it."

  • "We had first tried Roy's when in Hawaii and the Naples restaurant is just as good. Delicious flavors, excellent beverage list and very attentive service. Pricy but worth it."

  • "We arrived a bit early for our reservation, the host staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We (6 of us) had drinks outside overlooking the marina. My wife had one of the specialty well drinks, the Skinny Mai Tai and would not recommend it., I tried it and would not recommend it either, very tart. The other non-recommended item is the Baby Green Salad with the Japanese Yuzu Honey Emulsion. The salad items were fine but the dressing is very lemony. Ask for the dressing on the side and/or request an alternate dressing. The main courses were all very good although a bit small for the price. Noise level is very high. The dining area probably could use some noise abatement modifications."

  • "Our server was very attentive and knowledgable - he pointed out vegetarian dishes on the main menu not mentioned within the vegetarian. We were at the busiest time, around 7.30pm, but food was quick, fresh and well presented. Highly recommend the varied menu, something for everyone. We declined sweet but were provided with complimentary Pecan Pie and Ice Cream along with hot Cookies and Ice Cream - delicious!!"

  • "The service was extraordinary especially in view of the fact that we had 3 grandchildren ages 4,6 and 8 whose needs were beyond met! Great imagination for what kids would enjoy including unforeseen appetizers for them which were PERFECT as well as surprise personalized dessers! Everything we ate was superb and our server was more than lovely and gracious. FABULOUS GASTRONIC AND AESTHETIC EXPERIENCE IN EVERY WAY - CHEERS, ROYS!"

  • "We enjoyed a special evening with friends at Roy's. We tried four starts and swooned over each one. Hung Pow calimari, ribs, and two different sushi rolls we to die for. Entrees included the amazing butterfish, ahi tuna and two of our party selected the pairing meals. They couldn't decide what was the best, all were awesome. Of course we had both special desserts! Always know you'll have a great meal at Roy's"

  • "This restaurant was not up to the usual quality of food of other Roy's we have eaten at."

  • "With the exception of the mahi mahi crusted with macadamia nuts which was boring and blah, the food was very good, interesting and well prepared."

  • "Roy's lived up to expectations with excellent food and great drink specials. Our waitress seemed a little distracted/frazzled with some other event taking place as we saw her rushing around with the manager and her hands were shaking when she delivered items to our table. Her distraction didn't really take away from our meal, we never wanted for anything and the food was well prepared so luckily nothing needed to be sent back when she disappeared. Overall, a delicious dinner and we would recommend Roy's."

  • "I took my wife out for her birthday here. I made a reservation on open table. We were seated promptly when we arrived. Server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided good service. The food came out exactly as we ordered it. The Kona Ribeye was yummy. My wife ordered the butterfish and loved it. Dessert was great too. we had the chocolate filled cake and the pineapple upside down cake. We will definitely come again."

  • "Dining outside at this restaurant is the key. The food is consistently very good, the service has been excellent- served so you can enjoy each part of the meal, and management is very attentive. If you want a romantic evening, this is very good; if you want a family meal, it is also nice. Enjoy."

  • "The service was great. We ordered the lobster potstickers and the spring roll. They were both great. We both ordered the butterfish for entree's. The butterfish was amazing and would recommend it to everyone. Our server Rock was very attentive, knowledgeable and personal able. Just a over all great experience."

  • "In addition to providing four adults with entrees and appetizers that brought rave reviews from each ,Roy's managed to make the experience fun for our toddler as well. Thoughtful appetizer and chef hat gave everyone a chance to enjoy the evening. Thanks for a lovely dining experience."

  • "Our trips to Naples are never complete without a trip to Roy's. Noah's creation Appetizer-Kung pow calimari is the best. Our party enjoyed the salmon, hanger steak and tuna, all excellent!"

  • "Great food. Their seafood is amazing but the steaks are great too. Very upscale Hawaiian cuisine. Been to 4 different Roy's and they never dissapoint."

  • "Food and service was excellent. Butterfish was appropriately named, because it was delectable. Jennifer did an outstanding job of serving our table. We enjoyed our outside table; thank goodness one was available, because it was very noisy inside."

  • "Disappointed, this was recommended to us as out of town visitors and it was not a stand out of the trip"

  • "We normally go to Bonita Springs as we like the Chefs special menu. However Roy's Naples has lots to offer and great staff. We were made really welcome and our waiter recommended the Cod which was as described delicious. For starter I had the lobster pot stickers which tasty. My wife had shrimps for main and a salad for starter, both declared excellent. A recommended restaurant."

  • "Birthday dinner @ Roy's in Naples was excellent. Wonderful service, excellent food and over a great experience. A+"

  • "I had high hopes but they weren't realized. It started out good but quickly went downhill. I've never had such a small appetizer portion of mussels. The worst was, the manager wasn't interested in feedback. I didn't even get I'm sorry! Roy's should be embarked by the quality of the service we sat for 15 minutes with dirty dishes in front of us. When something was mentioned to the busboy about it his response was that he was also responsible for the outside tables. No apology...again. The food was too expensive to excuse the lack of the customer service (let alone the mussel portion)"

  • "Food was very good. All four of us ordering different fish..everyone very pleased. Presentation and portion size are good. Waitress comments about not ordering an appetizer were a bit uncomfortable. Noise level is way above energetic and resulted in difficultly in ordering and conducting conversation without raising our voices."
