  • "We went to Roy's after our wedding on April 5th. I made reservations and they were ready for us. I was impressed with the food. We received a special dessert with a written congratulations on it and a keepsake photo. I would be happy to return for our anniversary! Roy's made our special day even more memorable!"

  • "Fantastic Butterfish and the overall experience was outstanding!"

  • "Just wanted to make sure people don't make the same mistake we did. The restaurant is on Flamingo Ave NOT at The Flamingo Hotel! And do not believe anyone if they say you can walk from the hotel to the restaurant either. It is not on the strip, but the food and service is excellent so it is worth a cab ride."

  • "The food and service were excellent and they made my husband's Birthday dinner a very special experience! They really go above and beyond on customer service!"

  • "We've dined at Roy's in Hawaii and in Chicago and have always had excellent experiences. We were excited to dine at Roy's in Vegas to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. Roy's was one of the highlights of the trip! We had a late reservation and had much if the restaurant to ourselves. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. Brendan's service was great--just the right amount of engagement and humor at our table. I'd recommend Roy's to anyone who enjoys fine dining and delicious food. Well done!"

  • "It was the second stay at Roy´s in Las Vegas. Service was very good - Food quality was average compared with the time before and at other roy´s. Plates and dishes were just smaller for the same order a year ago - what happens here? At all - I love to come to Roy´s from time to time and hopefully they will come back to the level where I remember it was."

  • "We went here after our wedding. The staff was wonderful. The did little things to make the night a perfect end to our special day. The food was spectacular. Pricing for what you got was definitely in line if not a little low. Couldn't ask for more."

  • "We really enjoyed Roy's in Hawaii so were excited to try it in Las Vegas. Food was good but service was lacking. They mixed up the medium rare with medium steak when they delivered them, and my kids only noticed once we'd started eating, so one person ate a more cooked steak and the other had to wait while a steak was returned for more cooking. It's a special meal, and a special night, made less special by some of these not-so-great-service moments."

  • "The service we received from our waiter was terrible. He was rude and very unattentive. It was so bad that I had to get up to get my own water and salt/peper. I requested salt and pepper, which he never delivered. He was more interested in bringing silverware to a couple sitting across from us instead of the S&P to our table; the worst part about it was those folks were still waiting on their food while mine was getting cold. I made sure he noticed that I had to retrieve the S&P on my own. I seriously doubt I'll ever go back to that restaurant again. I really hope this bad service was not a result of skin color. Although an outsider looking in might construe it that way. I ate at the establishment on Saturday PM in Las Vegas."

  • "We enjoyed the meal at Roy's. My husband said that his steak was outstanding. The service was far too rushed, unfortunately, which detracted from the overall excellent experience."

  • "We booked this table like everyone who read about the reviews on trip advisor. It was very good and the food quality was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly but not vibrant which is fine. It is a restaurant, after all. We actually went to another steak house on the strip the following night and the steak was not anywhere near as nice as Roys!"

  • "Other than having trouble finding the place because I thought it was actually at the Flamingo, we had a great time. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional."

  • "We booked a table to celebrate a memorable birthday and it was all I could have wished for including the wonderful surprise Happy Birthday plate piped in chocolate at the end. Food and wine was great especially the starter salad with the blue cheese."

  • "I had read reviews before going and I feel bad for those few that had low ratings. Not sure how that would be possible. The experience starts immediately with people opening the door and greeting you. The staff is awesome at making recommendations and sharing info about the menu. The four of us all got something different so I tried a variety of the menu with no complaint it was all superb!"

  • "We have eaten at Roy's many times; it is one of our favorites. On this night, however, the service had slipped. One member of our party requested a cold wine glass for her Chardonnay. After half an hour the glass of wine was produced, but not until everyone else at the table had been enjoying their wine for quite some time. A similar delay occurred when a second glass of wine was ordered. The food was mostly fine; the butterfish misoyaki, their signature dish, was wonderful as usual. The scallop special left a bit to be desired as there were just plain scallops on a plate, sitting on a teaspoon of sauce with a tablespoon of shredded cabbage and that was all. A tad skimpy! But we like Roy's and will certainly try them again."

  • "Most "off the strip" restaurants make up for their poor location with great food and amenities. For example, the night before we made a return trip to Battista'a Hole in the Wall...good food/service and an experience worth the walk of the strip. We went to Roy's on a recommendation, but the food was only average: 2 seafood apps (tuna/shrimp)...tiny/nothing special, and the mains (shortrib/blackened cod),nothing we cant get on the main strip, same prices as well. Portions:average for strip, below average for off.I'm 6' & 165#, so not a huge eater, but left hungry. Why $10+ drinks, and NO BEER on tap (weird)??? Not that we are looking for some outrageous incentives when we dine, but I cant think of any reason to make the cab ride out to Roy's"

  • "I had dinner with my wife twice. In both ocasions we had great food, servive and it was easy to park. We spent average U$90,00 for the couple. Good variety of food, restaurant ambience is quiet. And service is great"

  • "Roy's never disappoints. Our food and service was excellent. The ambiance was very relaxed. A nice break from the Las Vegas strip. We have eaten at Roy's in Maui, Phoenix and Las Vegas and have always enjoyed the experience. We will be back."

  • "This was our first visit to a Roys, and our waiter, Brandon, and the entire staff put the bow on the dining experience for us. The food was interesting, well prepared, beautifully served and wonderful tasting. But the friendliness of the staff made our dinner on our last night in Vegas stand out in a sea of other great dinners. We will return."

  • "We have eaten at Roys in Honolulu and we loved it. Las Vegas excellent again. Fish trio was superb. Each well prepared with a wonderful different sauce for each fish. Green beans although flavorful a little underdone. Chocolate baked dessert to die for."

  • "Have dined at numerous Roy's restaurants, usually in Hawaii. Always high quality food with attentive service. Good value for the price. Only downside it is not on the strip - only a couple of miles away, but a rather expensive cab ride there and back."

  • "i'm so so happy with this place. Let me start for the food, even that some dishes were not as good as expected, the balance were great, I can still remember those flavors and what to get them now! The restaurant had some amazing smell that we notice since we get in and wanted to order everything that was making that amazing smell. The service was truly flawless, one of the best I ever experienced. It was a birthday of one of my friends and the recognize it since the beginning, grating her every new people arrived an at the end they send a cake on the house and even a picture of us, it was a beautiful touch. Now I understand why is no. 1 in Vegas a city with endless restaurant choices."

  • "Dined with a party of three on 2/15. Have eaten at Roy's other restaurants and always thought they were creative and innovative. We ordered the mixed appetizer (the canoe) for three and found it uneven in quality-the dumpling was under cooked and doughy, but the rib was excellent. Entree ahi was cooked perfectly, but was sauced with a too sharp mustard and soy sauce which overwhelmed the fish. Server was pleasant but obviously inexperienced especially when it came to wine service. All in all, a pleasant but underwhelming experience."

  • "We dine at Roy's frequently and make it a point to seek them out when we are traveling. Being from Florida we have dined at Roy's Tampa, Orlando, Sarasota, Bonita Springs and Naples. This was our first Roy's outside of Florida and they did not disappoint! Excellent food, service, ambiance and overall experience."

  • "From time we walked in the door, we were waited on. Great service and food was outstanding. Ate with a wife and another couple and everything, from the Ahi Poke appetizer to the 4 different desserts we had were top notch in presentation and flavor."

  • "Four of us dined on a Monday which features a Prix Fix menu item that is a real bargain. The choices are almost unlimited at $30 for two courses. The wines were reasonably prices and the desserts exceptional. They greeted us by name and escorted us out likewise. Our servers and food runners were spot on. The place is nicely decorated and the noise level was okay despite little sound absorbing media."

  • "4 of my customer from Mexico and I dinned at Roy's of Las Vegas last week. Everything from fish to steak was excellent prepared. The dishes were nice to look at and the fish (swordfish and scallops) and steaks tasted great. That means Roy's has a great chef. The service was also outstanding, the people in this restaurant were very nice. My customers from Mexico were very impressed. I already recommended Roy's to many of my business friends."

  • "The food was amazingly delicious. Portion sizes were perfect. Everything about Roy's was wonderful. Staff was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu. We can't wait to come back!"

  • "We chose Roy's because it gets consistently good feedback. The food was great, both the butterfish and calamari were exceptional, but it doesn't get full marks because, sadly, it was a tad cooler than I'd like. The fusion food is unusual, and I'd recommend a trip to this restaurant just to experience it. I've certainly had nothing like it in Europe. Our waiter was very good, and got everything just right."

  • "What a treat and a plus in every bite. No wonder it is #1 in TripAdvisor for Las Vegas. From the moment we arrived to walking out the door it was an anniversary to remember. Food, service and the little special touches that Roy's does is fantastic. My wife tried the sea food sampler and all three fishes were superb especially the butter fish. I had the crispy skin Barramundi and enjoyed every bite. Order the chocolate souffle for dessert it takes 20 minutes to prepare but worth it. We will be back again when in Vegas even if it is not a special ocassion but at Roy's it alway is special."

  • "I picked this restaurant as it was rated #1 on trip advisor - big disappointment. The lady filling our water must've been daydreaming as she knocked the whole thing onto my date, drenching his seat and jacket, our waiter saw the entire incident and no word of apology at all. Our waiter must've been reading a script the entire meal, standard questions were asked but there was no explanation, no enthusiasm, and just plain boring. The food itself wasn't great as well, for a restaurant that classifies itself as a seafood restaurant, our seafood was overlooked, over priced and the flavours did not blend well together at all. Definately will not be returning."
