The Las Vegas location is about 2 miles off the strip so it may not be accessible to some tourists,
The service was very good. No wait when we arrived and our waiter came promptly. The menu is weighted towards fish. My husband had the ahi and I had the Chet's trio. The fish was perfectly cooked and with tasty sauces. The ahi was served with a mustard sauce, nice and hot. The best by far is the chocolate soufflé which you must order when you get your entree to allow enough time. The kids entree comes with an appetizer tray, and a desert with their name on it! Great choice for a family night out. Got there about 6pm and were greeted very warmly, they got us to our table and all the service was top notch. The food was excellent, the ribs are superb as were everything else. The place handles kids well which I find rare with more upmarket restaurant. A free dessert with my daughters name piped in chocolate on the plate was brought at the ned of our meal and we were given a $25 gift voucher as well.
Will definitely return. The AC on the day we went was very cold so maybe bring an extra layer if you feel the cold. We did mrntion it and they adjusted the settings but it remained on the cold side.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Service EverWe went here just after arriving and a long day of travel. We started in the bar for Happy Hour and got specials on our drinks and first appetizers. They left us sit their to enjoy even after our reservation time came and went. We then transferred the tab to our table where we were greet by a very generous and courteous waiter. He quickly but thoroughly went over the menu - notable items and favorites. Food was brought out immediately, waters were always full, needs were met withough being attacked all of the time with questions. We had a great time, the food would delicious and the service was some of the best I have ever experienced. We got peronalized menu's en een picture taken by the very friendly staff as a gift. We have never seen that both food and service at the same time are of high standard. We ordered Roy's starter for two to share (came in a small canoo, well decorated plate). The trio of fish as a main dish was delicious and as dessert chocolade pie with hot fudge and a warm pineapple pie with coconut ice cream. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating from the time we walked in the door until we left, they even called a taxi for us when it was time for our check so we would have one ready when we got up to leave. We arrived earlier than our reservation and were directed to the bar to wait for the table. We ordered Roy's signature martini which was pretty good. Once escorted to the table, the waiter walked us through the menu and gave helpful suggestions. We split the salad, ordered two fish entrees and had a desert along with two drinks. The service was very attentive, food tasty and water refilled promptly. As an added touch, the menu had a happy birthday insert addressed to the guest. Also, the waiter took a picture of us and presented in the end with a picture printed in a paper memo keepsake. We were treated like old friends from the moment we were greeted by the valet.. Caring..we felt that they really cared about us, which is not the norm for Vegas. I had the TRIO and my wife had the chicken..both absolutely fantastic. Service was impeccable, you could not ask for more. After dinner they brought us a special desert acknowledging out anniversary and the hostess took a picture of us. We were presented with the framed photograph when we left. The manager also had stopped at out table to acknowledge our anniversary. WE WILL BE BACK. I had a California roll which was good. The Mahi Mahi was really good. We had the chocolate cake and also the Hawaiian Pineapple cake. Both were wonderful. The staff is helpful and friendly. They will call a cab for you while you wait at your table then they tell you when the cab is ready!! We went for a birthday and they gave us a birthday photo! As is typical of every Roy's on the planet, service was excellent. We ordered an assorted appetizer plate that was very good. The sushi roll was far from ordinary with a nice bite to it; the gyoza's were perfect, and the short ribs were tough to refrain from reordering. I doubt that the seafood came from Lake Mead, but whatever it's origin, it was very tasty. I seldom see butterfish on the menu other than as a sushi or sashimi offering. I don't think I can order anything else on their menu ever again, it was killer!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for social events, IGreat for social events, I mentioned in the reservation we were there for a 30th birthday and we were given menus with a personalized insert in the first page. Additionally they gave us a small dessert with happy birthday written in chocolate on the plate and took a photo they print out and place in a Roys paper frame for you. We ordered the Hawaiian martinis which are delicious and dangerous as the fruit masks the alcohol content very well, and the miso-Yaki butterfish which I think is the best thing on the menu, it is so flavorful. The food was as good as always but the service was fantastic! I was presented with the wrong dish, which wasn't a big deal. While I waited they brought me a the lobster pot-stickers (which were delicious) so the rest of my party didn't have to wait. In addition, they took off my entree of the bill. All of this was done without a request or complaint. They all worked as a team with a genuine attitude of we care about your choice and time spent with us. The place was clean to include the the silverware. The food was presented quite attractively, but not as I expected. The special cocktails served up by the Bartenders were so on point. Special and will be used when we get back home. It was my daughter's 14th birthday and everyone at Roy's made her feel so special. I still cannot believe how wonderful the service was! I accidentally spilled my drink (me, not my kids!) and they moved us to another table and brought me another drink. So nice! Additionally, the kids menu was so wonderful and portions were awesome. My sushi loving 10 year old was able to get a shrimp tempura roll as her kids meal option. Really? How much more awesome can Roy's be? My birthday girl was hoping for chicken teriyaki and they did it up for her. She was thrilled. Everyone at Roy's should be very proud. I also want to mention our server and busser- incredible! The chocolate soufle was divine, but our server recommended the pineapple upside down cake which was just as good. Our server couldn't have been nicer. All around great experience for our group. We were seated promptly upon our arrival and were attentively served throughout the evening. Since we were not familiar with Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine, our waitress recommended several appetizers, salads & main dishes. We had the Lobster Potstickers and the Pear Salad as starters. For our main courses, we had the Seabass and Roy's Trio. The portion sizes were reasonable, leaving us room to enjoy their special baked desserts, Chocolate Soufflé and Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Everything was delicious!
