Roy's ChandlerSecond time for dinnerRoy's is outstanding when it comes to food. We were seated in a corner with a water stand for serving. Finally after being distrubed while the wait staff grabbed water - I said I felt uncomfortable and they had me move around the table which was for four with just two of us. Now I am staring at the water table. I felt they should have moved us since there were plenty of tables available at our dinner seating. Otherwise, it was an excellent birthday and mom's day dinner.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food, outstanding serviceWhen traveling, I like to take advantage of visiting restaurants of notable chefs, and was glad to see Roy's nearby where I was in Chandler. The service simply could not have been better, and made the evening what it was. The food, of course, was terrific as anticipated. Seafood choices abound, and are all worthy of consideration. Desserts are not to be overlooked, especially the 20-minute-lead-time pineapple upside down cake, which pairs superbly with a glass of port.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding!Wonderful experience! Met two couples for dinner and requested seating on the patio. Was seated promptly. I would recommend the patio if you would like to catch up with friends since it is quiet and kind of private. The food was better than expected and the service the same. When we ordered coffee at the end of dinner one of the cups had lipstick on it so the waitress immediately replaced it with a new cup. We were surprised later that Emiliano (Managing Partner) came over to appologize for the mistake and said he would not charge us for the coffees. He not only didn't charge us for the coffee but took off $20 from our total bill. I will visit this restaurant on a regular basis in the future and will highly recommend. Outstanding!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat all around experienceThe staff was very friendly/helpful/attentive (Host, bartender, server, Mgr.). Sat at the bar before our reservation and got great service. Our server and assistant were fantastic. They didn't miss anything. Never ran out of anything before they asked if we wanted more. They even made some conversation with our 7 year old son. He has questions... All that said, the food was even more awesome. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and had togo containers (needed room for dessert). My only comment is that I thought the chocolate lava cake had a little too much raspberry(?) sauce. It distracted us slightly from the rest of the dessert. Menu was not too big or small, just right. Roy's isn't th cheapest place out there , but the food was very good and unique. Great for a special dinner, or just grabbing something good to eat. Food came out very quickly (maybe a little too quickly, if that's possible). Wasn't too noisy, but was "energetic" at the same time. Quality restaurants are limited in this area, but Roy's satisfied our need for a good dinner quite well. Our food was very good as was the service. The Butterfish was excellent.
