We really enjoyed our time due to good food at a fair price. We had the pre fixe menu and the Spring Trio and a drink each and only paid $25 or $8 tip each. We were able to use the $20 SPRING promotion so that saved a lot.

Went on a Monday night and saw they had a special deal $29 for an appetizer and entree. But you had to point it out to the server before ordering. As when the bill comes you are charged the regular price and it's too late to state that you are doing the special as apparently it's not assumed.

Comfortable seating, simple decor. The presentation and preparation of our food was delightful. I had the scallops and they were perfectly prepared with a lovely sear on the outside. My daughter had the three fish and the mahi mahi and the butter fish were fabulous. The char on the salmon was overwhelming and too much of a contrast with the overly sweet sauce. My son and husband had the filet &lobster which were tender and lucisous. My Mom had a spicy shrimp and noodle dish with a delightful sauce with some heat at the end. The pineapple upside down cake and chocolate salted caramel dessert were quite lovely. Overall our server was quite attentive, although there were two times we had to ask another staff member to send him over.

We had a reservation and we seated immediately. Staff were very personable, efficient, knowledgeable and in general they were great. Food was excellent. The only down fall was that we wanted a relaxing meal, but that wasn't to be. First course was complete and bamn the main course was there. No time to sit and relax. Next time we will delay ordering our main course.

the hostess threatened us because we were late, it was Christmas Eve, said we were off the reservation list and then seated us by the kitchen even though there were other empty tables that stayed empty through the evening. The waiter and busboy were new to the job, perhaps because it was Christmas Eve. The butterfish was delicious! We've gone before on Christmas Eve and had a wonderful time. This time, meh!

We frequent Roy's for special occasions (anniversary, birthday). We find Roy's an excellent choice. Food is always prepared fresh and entrees arrive to the table hot. Presentation very nice. They have a good variety of wines although most vintners are not familiar to us (and we are very into wines!). There are a nice variety of desserts, also. All staff are extremely friendly and know the menu well. We have only been to Roy's for dinners, so we do not know if there is a separate menu for lunch. $$$ - a bit high in dinner prices for food and wine, but well worth the trip. Two persons including wine, by the glass, and less tip and dessert always comes out to around $125. We usually take out of town guest here for dinner.

My wife and I went to Roy's for our 56th Wedding Anniversary and would recommend it for a like celebration. I would describe the fare as Asian Fusion with the emphasis on fish. I had the four fish special and enjoyed everything, especially the Butterfish. The portions were small as were the sides. My wife had the Mahi mahi in macadamia nuts but was disappointed with the "fishy" taste and the thick cut made it somewhat dry in the middle. We shared their signature chocolate soufflé and loved it. The wine was great as well. This is a fine restaurant with good food and acceptable surroundings........but it isn't Kauai, where we have eaten at their facility and the prices are comparable. We felt the bill was somewhat out of line.

We've been to Roy's other locations , while in Chandler, went for a special anniversary dinner. We've never been disappointed, great food (seafood done to perfection), excellent customer service from hostess, bus people, to server, all of them extending themselves to take care of even the little things. Chef Patrick's menu makes it hard to choose from but it means returning to try the other offerings. Chose the appetizer platter for two which meant we were able to sample five appetizers and then shared each other's entrees, the seafood sampler and the butterfish. Americanos accompanied the pineapple & chocolate desserts. All yummy. Roy's has always delivered us a memorable dining experience & we will return to a Roy's where ever we travel.

First let me say Violet is a treasure- ask for her section! The food was really good but I think most people know that. What makes this a great place is how well you're treated from the moment you step in the door. Let them know when you make your reservation if you are celebrating something and they will (quietly and tastefully) acknowledge it. I will also say that it can get a bit noisy; I had some trouble hearing my table-mate when all the tables (and probably bar) were occupied. That said, it is still a worthwhile place to dine!

We were celebrating both our engagement and my fiances birthday. When making the reservation I made a little note about that thinking she would appreciate if they wished her a happy birthday. However, they went all out. As we arrived we were greeted with well wishes. Once we were seated at a great booth we opened our menus only to find a personalized message to us congratulating us! They came and took a photo of us which they presented to us in a cute frame at the end of the night. They also included two complimentary desserts with nice messages of congrats and happy birthday. On top of this the food was OUTSTANDING. We had the short ribs and the meat was so tender, melt in your mouth. Tuna roll and lobster potstickers were great as well!

Roy's is one of the few restaurants that is consistently good in both service and food. The staff is well versed in the menu items and also very knowledgeable in types of fish and suggested proper preparation. Lobster pot stickers for starters and the lava cake for dessert are always a must along with Original Hawaiian Martini. Roy's is also very accommodating of substitutions, if you don't happen to like a particular sauce on your fish, they have never had a problem of a substitution of another sauce on the menu. Many restaurants really try to avoid any substitutions of preparation or sauces, Roy's has no problem with this.
