  • "I had never eaten at Roy's when I made the reservations. I was taking 6 other people to thank them for a specific job they did for me and one of the people has to have a gluten free menu. A couple others prefer fish. I prefer steak. Their menu accommodated everyone! I'm very particular about steak and even and some of the expensive restaurants dedicated to steak haven't done the filet mignon as well as the one I had at Roy's. (I like my steaks between rare & med. rare). I'm sorry I can't remember our female server's name (she looks like Erin Andrews the sports interviewer), but she was beyond friendly, proficient and professional. Everyone was impressed and we had a wonderful evening."

  • "My partner and I had our first date at Roy and the day we went was the anniversary of our first date. We made a reservation, and was seated promptly but they even allowed us to take the table we had last year. The waiters were both suggesting drinks and food, and with that we found what we were looking for easily (even though the other options looked delicious as well). I totally recommend the canoe for two for the food covers a wide range of flavors and taste that leave your tongue on adventure. The entrees were amazing as well, both the salmon and bacon wrapped pork was well flavored and we enjoyed eating all it. To top it off, the manager/staff present us with a special comp. anniversary dessert and took our picture for us. We loved it!"

  • "I've been to the Roy's locations in La Jolla and Hawaii and I would come back to those locations. The food and drinks here were different than what we remember to be a Roy's experience. Our filet mignon was too charred on top and the butterfish was not memorable like the other locations. The vodka infused pineapple martini was not as good as the Hawaii one where the pineapple that is used as a garnish to the drink was the one from the jar which was soaked in vodka; this was not."

  • "Going to Anaheim for dinner is always a gamble. We took a shot on Roy's for our anniversary dinner and we were BLOWN AWAY. All good meals start with good service and our server, Christopher, was exceptional and by far the best server we have every had. From the start Christopher was there to make us feel at home, offer us great suggestions on drinks and food and just was wonderful to talk to. This was followed up by visits from 2 managers, Chris and Keith. Both began the conversation by wishing us a happy anniversary and then they just wanted to make sure we were doing well. The food was exceptional and the desserts to die for. They even gave us a photo of my wife and I at the table. Thank you Roy's for the wonderful experience!"

  • "This was our first time to Roy's. It had been recommended by our friends and wow, I was so blown away by the quality of food! It was the best Filet Mignon I've ever had, so soft and it melted in my mouth. My wife had the Roy's Trio and she loved it. Service was impeccable, has to be one of my best dining experiences to date."

  • "We arrived at 6:15p and the told us " you're late." And had us waited to be seated for 15 minutes. It's a Monday night the place is not packed and there's a lot of available table and we waited 15 min. Our reservation is at 6p just entering the parking lot is a good 10 minutes. Waiter Chris is friendly if not for the receptionist it would have been almost perfect. About the food the bibimbap was not up to the expectation."

  • "I never really pay attention to this restaurant just because I always go next door Mc Corkmick's but I decided to try it out with my friends visiting from Seattle. I took them there and yes that was a great move on my end. We all enjoy the great service and awesome food.. The manager is so friendly and also she made sure that we were doing good through out our dining.. I went there on Thursday and sure enough I came back for brunch with my parents.. I didn't have any reservation for father's day but still they managed to get us a table right away.."

  • "I have eaten at Roy's Anaheim for many years and have never had a bad experience. From the minute I walk into the front door, until I leave, the staff is polite, anticipates your needs, and I rarely have to ask for anything; such as a refill. The food is more than outstanding. Chef Plata is extraordinary. Every time I go in he has concocted something new and different to supplement the expected menu items. The last time I went in he created powdered blue cheese !!! Sometimes a dish I like has been removed from the menu, because they source seasonal fresh foods, and if Chef Plata has the ingredients he will make it for me anyway. That's service with a smile and I can't imagine not going back."

  • "Our family of 3 enjoyed a special dinner at the end of our recent Disneyland trip. We wanted to have a quiet, delicious dinner with great service and knew Roy's was the place to do so. Our server Christopher was excellent and was especially great with our young daughter, even the bussboys and other waitstaff and hostesses were lovely and engaging with her. Chef Ron visited our table and made our evening even more special, the perfect way to end an amazing trip. You MUST order his scallop dish, it's one of the best I've had. Thank you Roy's for another incredible meal!!"

  • "Went to Roy's for the first time this past weekend in Anaheim. As expected on a Saturday night it was pretty packed seeing that it was also promo weekend. Was able to make a later reservation. The waiter was very attentive and nice. Food came out in reasonable time as well. We had the salmon and the butterfish. The butterfish is a must try. We also had the bacon mac and cheese. Our bill came up to just over $100 and although it is a bit pricey its worth it for a special occasion night out. "

  • "This is my "go to" restaurant when in Anaheim on business. The ambiance is great, there is good opportunity for outdoor seating, and the food is consistently very good. I've not had a bad meal there, but especially like the macadamia nut crusted mahi-mahi, and the butterfish dish. The menu changes frequently but those two dishes are mainstays - and for good reason. The best part about Roy's is the service - the wait staff is very well trained and knowledgeable, and just plain first class without getting stuffly. Never disappointed at Roy's in Anaheim!"

  • "This is the second Roy's I've been to aside from the one in Hawaii. The food was unique, melt off your mouth food. The mother's day brunch menu was delicious, the steak and eggs, the filet mignon eggs benedict and the lobster, which I can't remember the name. My dad got the short rib and that was so tender, highly recommened. Then the lemon ricotta pie was so light, fresh and delicious. I wish we ordered one more to go. Our server John was pleasant to talk to. Being a server for 3 years plus, he really knows what customer service is all about. The manager came by our table, from the front of the house, to pretty much everyone greeted us with a smile. This was the first mother's day my mom truly enjoyed. I'm so glad I chose this location. "

  • "I've been to several different Roy's Asian Fusion restaurants before, and I always look forward to what the local chefs have come up with -- this time was no exception. There were several 'local specials' that looked good, and the one that I chose (the 'loco moco' or steak and eggs) was excellent. However, this particular Roy's seems to have a more open floor plan and flexible seating (no doubt due to the large number of families at Disney), and it was extremely difficult to hold any sort of conversation or, frequently, to hear the servers. Still, the experience was very good, as I've come to expect."

  • "It is my lifetime quest to eat at every Roy's (Guam may be a problem!) They are consistently excellent, offer really interesting, "localized" menus, and deliver excellent customer service. Roy's in Anaheim lived up to my expectations and then some. Excellent meal, great wine, wonderful ambience, and friendly, professional service. Several of my dining companions had never eaten at Roy's. They have now joined me in my quest."

  • "Our evening and anniversary celebration at Roy's was p-e-r-f-e-c-t. The staff was exceptional and everyone extended wishes. Our waiter, Shannon, couldn't have been anymore accommodating and efficient. Our booth was just as requested. The food was delicious. The ambience was beautiful.   • "It was memorable. An anniversary, but it was SO COOL to have our names printed on a sheet tucked into each of our menus wishing us a happy anniversary! Great touch. Complimentary dessert with our names in chocolate on the plate. AND THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT. I'd recommend it without hesitation. In fact, we'd like to the other locations now."

  • "Decided to visit ROy's for EAster brunch and I am so glad we did. The staff made us fell comfortable, and went the extra mile to make my 11 year old less grumpy by adjusting his meal changing egg type and English muffin to bacon chedder biscuit. Speaking of the busicur, the best I have had. Everything was delicious, not one bite went unenjoyed. Definatly will be back, just Mom and Dad next time."

  • "Celebrated our Anniversary here, as we always do. We set up an Oma Kase dinner. This time Chef Ron would be out of town and Sous Chef Amanda was there to step in and amaze us in the fashion we have grown accustomed to at this, our favorite Roy's. She paired our Champagne perfectly with fantastic scallop ceviche with strawberry-pineapple relish! YUM! She made fresh herbed pasta with Ossa Bucco to pair with our Chilean Cab. Also to pair with the Cab was another surprise combo of Grilled Lamb with mole and fried plantains! Everything was great. Dessert was again a beautiful chocolate mouse on delicate pastry with toasted white chocolate and raspberry gelee. Wow!!! "

Both of these things were true, but we still had a pretty good meal, and the cost while high, was not crazy. Given the choices in the area (IHOP, Bubba Gump, etc.) it seemed to be about the best choice."

  • "We had eaten at the original Roy's in Hawaii many years ago and found it noisy and crowded and the service spotty. We felt rushed and weren't impressed with the food. After being given a gift certificate recently, we tried the Roy's in Anaheim and fell in love with it! The service was over the top (in a good way!), the food scrumptious and healthy, and we enjoyed every minute. This is definitely a place we will return to again and again!"

  • "Love, love this location more than the Newport beach one {sorry nb}. Always, came here for happy hour menu and drinks, but for the first time ate off the regular dinner menu. To be completely honest, I prefer the happy hour menu food over the salmon dish I ordered. My boyfriend and I ordered the macadamia nut pie with carmel that was tasty. I would come here again for the staff, which goes far and beyond what other restaurants do."

  • "My family expected great food for the price paid. It turned out that the best item we tried that night was the Lakanilau Roll. The other items we tried was just so-so. One of my sons commented that for the price we paid we could have been happier with the food at Ruth's Chris. We did find the hosts very friendly and the waiters attentive."
