Rowland's Restaurant at Westglow Resort and SpaReturnOur periodic visits to Rowland's continue to be outstanding. The ambience, cuisine and service outrank any others in the area. It amazes us that seasonal and tourist visitors to Blowing Rock frequently are unaware of its excellence, probably because it is not in the downtown area.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMbirthday and bon voyageA friend recently posted on face book about taking his wife to Rowland's for their anniversary. I've always wanted to eat at Rowland's and for some reason choose restaurants closer to home. We have a lot of good restaurants surrounding Boone, N.C. I thought it would be too expensive and had high expectations of the food. We'd been invited by Bonnie and Jaime to attend the gathering in 2012 for James Taylor...including the dinner after the concert. Since my husband was running for office we could not stay which broke our hearts. FINALLY I've experienced Rowlands and it exceeded all my expectations. The food was incredibly delicious and perfectly cooked and presented like artwork. Delicious, beautiful, warm, and not outrageously expensive.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMIF YOU ARE IN THE BLOWINGIF YOU ARE IN THE BLOWING ROCK NC AREA, ROWLAND'S IS A MUST STOP!!! FOOD AND SERVICE ARE TOP NOTCH.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMA Perfect EveningEverything about the evening surpassed our expectations: We began with wine and salmon appetizer on the lawn watching the sunset over the mountains. When we went inside for our meal the tables on the sunporch were intimate with a nice view of gardens. My husband and I shared everything we ordered as we absolutely couldn't decide. We moved to a Fiddlehead Pinot Noir and had the cauliflower bisque and deconstructed Caesar salad with the whole duck egg yolk-both were fabulous. For dinner we ordered the sea bass and lamb chops and finished with a delightful chocolate dessert that was just right to finish our meal. The service was impeccable and personal.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMRowland's Is Worth It!Superb dining experience at Rowland's for an anniversary celebration. Food is great -- beautiful presentation and wonderful combination of flavors and ingredients. Portions for dinner entrees are a bit small, but that allows for sampling a starter and/or dessert. The cheese sampler appetizer was super. I had lamb, wife had fish -- both were fabulous. Service is just about perfect -- enough attention that nothing was ever wanting, but reserved enough so we didn't feel bothered. Restaurant itself is in an outstanding old house with a great view out of part of the dining area. 5 Star experience.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMTop of the lineFanastic restaurant from the original greeting to the drinks, food and sincere care from the entire staff. For Nate the head chef to come out and talk with each table is something special. Thank you Natalie, Nate, Jennifer and Matt ! Would recommend this special restaurant to anyone!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was excellent and theDinner was excellent and the service was supurb. Very beautiful restaurant with great view. The only recommendation I have is that they need to have a larger selection of beer.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMRowland's, A Fabulous RestaurantRowland's offers one of the best dining experiences in the High Country. We celebrated my birthday with friends there on Friday night. The food was delicious, presented beautifully, and served well. While the restaurant is quite expensive, it is worth the price! We enjoyed a pleasant drink in the cozy bar before dinner where the assistant manager was friendly about sharing information about the spa and restaurant. We have dined here on other occasions and each time is a true pleasure. The attention to detail is not be be missed by discriminating diners.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Fine DiningA real treat to take my wife on our anniversary. 5 star food and service.6/29/2012 12:00:00 AM
