  • " The clams and muscles were delicious! Could have drank the sauce."

  • "We had a res for 9 PM and were seated on time. The place is nice but is a bit noisy. I like the warehouse feel. Our waitress wasn't too friendly. I think she was trying to be very efficient, rushing from one table to the next and was stressing herself out. Drinks and food arrive in a timely fashion after being ordered. The oysters were excellent but my husband's ceviche had way too much lime. We couldn't taste the salmon at all. Same thing goes for the monkfish I ordered. Everything was cooked well but I couldn't taste the fish at all. My husband had the whole fish which was excellent. Overall we had a nice exp. One complaint though 1/2 the bill was for booze. I know that's how restaurants make money but still, $11 for imported beer... "

  • "The sea food was fresh, the oysters were great, our server was so nice, and Megan who oversees the beer list was awesome, she came to the table and talked us through all her favorites - she is so knowledgeable and so nice."

  • "Restaurant has lots of potential - great vibe and delicious food - but our waiter was pushy and unfriendly. I'll be sticking with other oyster joints for now!"

  • "Had an awesome time at Row 34 this past Saturday - everything was great! Our server was very pleasant and attentive, and well versed on their oyster and craft beer selection. The warm buttered lobster roll was one of the best I've had in a long time. Really fun place, cannot wait to go back again soon!"

  • "It was well worth the wait. We were wowed the night we had dinner. The food, service and atmosphere were outstanding. The Craft Beer list is fantastic with rare gems also present. You will need a reservation."

  • "I really liked the industrial type vibe of this restaurant. All of the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The food was excellent. Great portions and taste. I would highly recommend it to the seafood lover. There were a few vegetarian and i think 1 meat selections for those who don't enjoy seafood."

  • "This is right down Congress Street. Great oysters. I will be back."

  • "First time here, Oysters were great as expected, a very eclectic and interesting beer list. Only criticism is portion size, as the for the cost,Lobster Tacos were very good, but were a very small appetizer size, and for a lunch, I think these should have something inlcuded along with them if they are not larger. Waitress did advsies that they were small on ordering,"

  • "Row 34 did not disappoint. Other reviews have mentioned that they have felt rushed and we did not experience this at all but I can see how the bar area could get frenetic. We had 16 oysters, 2 beers, 2 buttered lobster rolls, bottle of wine, an additional veggie side and 2 desserts (and they brought over the 3rd dessert for us to try) for $202 + tip. The lobster rolls were fantastic. The meat had been clearly cooked on premise - it was perfectly tender, succulent with a very natural flavor. The chips are wafer thin cut and have an amazing flavor. eclectic beer and wine menus where you won't recognize any names but dive in, you'll have fun. Can't wait to go back."

  • "Each of the 3 times I have had outstanding seafood. Perfect whole bronzino and $35 bottle of Greek Assyrtiko put in a mediterranean state of mind. Love the reasonbly price wine list with a number of good choices under $40. Love the atmosphere. Would like them to add a few more side dish options besides french fries and onion rings which were not up to par with the seafood. Nice friendly service without the attitude you find in some new trendy spots."

  • "Wanted to try for a while, and Restaurant Week was the perfect opportunity. The crudo was amazing, as were the spicy fish soup and fish cakes. But left some room for the butterscotch pudding, which was equally tasty. Unfortunately, I was there for lunch and could merely peruse through the amazing beer menu. Will definitely go back to try a few when don't need to go back to work after. Everyone from the hostess to our server and bussers were extremely friendly and attentive."

  • "My girlfriend and I went to have a girl's night out and it was fantastic. Bill our server was phenominal, attentive and personable and Liz the hostess was so informative about the establishment and extremely accommodating. This is what customer service is supposed to be like. It is hard to find that these days so i commend them for setting the bar high. I go to many high end restaurants in Boston and this place is a go to eatery. We got the ROW 34 oysters which were amazing, shrimp sliders and recieved smoked trout pate from the kitchen which was UNBELIEVABLE!!! Bill never made us feel rushed. We were there with a bottle of wine for 5 hours! We were in our own little world and never once did i feel managed or rushed. This is a must go!"

  • "Went to celebrate my 21st birthday - service was amazing, really enjoyed the butterscotch pudding and the smoked and cured fish board (scallops!). Bucatini wasn't my favorite, though I heard it's super popular and they ran out of the daily whole fish - put a good experience none the less and would come back again!"

  • "Leave it to the folks at Island Creek to open another fabulous restaurant. The moment you walk in you are greeted by the very friendly and professional staff. The bar scene is hopping and the restaurant has a great energy. Even though the place was packed when we had dinner, it was not too loud for conversation. Our waitress was fantastic and so was the food: the selection of oysters to start followed by the mouth-watering lobster roll and pasta with clams. For dessert we shared the homemade candy bar. I had to refrain from licking the plate! Row 34 deserves all of the rave reviews and I can't wait to go back."

  • "Super food and service in a hip restaurant. We had lunch there and the food was exceptional. We particularly loved all the seafood, the fish soup was to die for and the fish and chips some of the best ever. We look forward to returning in the near future."

  • "Excellent new venture in a factory conversion. Fantastic lobster tacos and ceviche. Fun time."
    Dined on 3/18/2014
  • "We started off with raw bar and it was very good (but of course, over-priced). We had the lettuce cups which were amazing. Fried oysters in lettuce. Yum. The hake was also very good. Our server was attentive and very educated. I'll definitely go back."

  • "I made reservation weeks in advance, so I was excited to try it out. We started with oysters, smoked trout pate, and clam crudo. The definite winner was the smoked trout - flavorful, smooth and great on the toast. For the entree, I got the bluefish with sunchokes and radishes. The combination was unexpected and went together perfectly. It would be hard to get this dish somewhere else in Boston. The beer list was awesome, but the wine felt overpriced and lacking by the glass options. The servers were polite and enthusiastic, but there were abnormally pauses between the food for this caliber of restaurant."

  • "I could eat at least 2 dozen of the row 34 oysters. The ceviche and smoked scallops were great as well!"

  • "I work nearby and get to Row 34 as often as possible. Absolutely love it. Best fish and chips I've ever had - bar none. Oysters too. Looking forward to my next visit."

  • "Row 34 is a great addition to this growing neighborhood. Love the feel of the room and mural on the wall of a South Boston building. Both times I've been here I've had the oysters and the mussels and they are wonderful. Also tried the buccatini w/clams. The pasta was cooked perfectly but found the dish a little too salty and with too much garlic but still very enjoyable."

  • "Very nice seafood selection but the noise level is too high, due to all the hard surfaces-I couldn't hear the conversation across a small table!"
    Dined on 3/13/2014
  • "Getting a table isn't the easiest but stick at it, there is a reason this restaurant is always busy even at seemingly quiet times in the week. The food is fantastic, the service is tentive and knowledgable and the surroundings are large and raw just like the oysters they serve. I'm already planning my next visit, more shrimp sliders, oysters both raw and fried and accompanied with one of the many craft beers on offer."
    Dined on 3/11/2014
  • "Fabulous addition to the neighborhood. Oysters were amazing. Loved the decor. Our waiter was a little too low-key, didn't match the energy of the place. Will absolutely be back soon!"

  • "Expected to be blown away given all the over-the-top praise on here. Experience was mostly excellent, with special kudos to the hostess and server, the industrial space with well-spaced tables, the extensive raw bar menu with interesting items like tilefish terrine, the very interesting, unusual and reasonable wine list. However I've got to give Island Creek Oysters the edge in the overall food quality department. Plus ICO has a liquor license and makes some of the best cocktails in town. But I'll be back to Row 34 for sure!"

  • "I dont like to write negative reviews, but....We were 5 people at a round table. Could only talk to the person next to me. Otherwise one had to holler. No way to have relaxing conversation."

  • "Great addition to the Boston scene. Still working out a couple kinks but food was fantastic which is what will keep you going back"

  • "Oysters were delicious--the mignonette was fantastic, but the oysters lacked variety in flavor. We tried 9. Crudo was delicious--a little rubbery and lacking dimension in flavor. Smoked scallops and Arctic char lox and fish terrine were delicious. The pickles were the star. Beyond that the menu was upscale pub grub--so it seems like once you get through ther specialties, the rest of the menu didn't fit. We tried the burger which was good, not spectacular. The dinner menu was mostly fried. Service was okay, but lacked details-- Our waitress knew we were holding into the menu-but ever asked if we wanted more. We had to flag her each time. Good spot, a little too much like a bar. Not a must visit, but not a don't go. It's worth one visit."

  • "We went on Saturday night for 7pm reservations and the place was packed! It definitely has an energetic vibe, with music and a very crowded bar area. It was even busier when we left around 10. We had delicious, fresh oysters, lettuce wraps, shrimp sliders, fried clams, warm lobster roll, monkfish, dessert, and wine and beer. Everything was delicious and at the same high quality as Island Creek Oyster Bar. The beer and wine selection is vast and they generously offer you a taste of the beers before you commit to ordering one. Our waitress Carly was excellent. Several servers helped us and all were friendly and attentive. We had a great time and cannot wait to go back."

  • "FOod and service are amazing, both better than their other restaurant Island Creek. The ambiance is sorely lacking. They could have done much better with the space, its very poorly laid out industrial chic. That aside, the oysters were incredible, the whole Black Bass was unbelievable and the lettuce cups with fried oysters were outstanding. Will be back for the food for sure."

  • "Service was excellent, from hostess stand to servers. Food was perfection and jut the right portion size. I loved the tile fish entree and the tuna crudo app. Setting is a cozy industrial. Will definitely return."

  • "My wife and I went to Row 34 for Valentine's Day dinner. The ambience was great, the room very comfortable, and the menu was quite eclectic. The wine list was very good yet not crazily priced (we ordered a white Languedoc new to the menu that was great and only $35). We began with Fried Oyster Lettuce Cups which were fantastic. There could have been four rather than three in the order. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon spaetzle, mustard beurre blanc and I ordered the Pan Roasted Tilefish pear, Treviso, walnuts. Both were great and they were different from the ordinary fare from most seafood establishments. Regrets: no room left for a pudding or one of the great list of beers on tap. Next time. Highly recommend!!!"

  • "Went to Row 34 for the first time on Monday night. Decided to make a reservation even though I didn't think I would need one on a Monday and was very glad I did. The place was packed ! The food was delicous . Had a variety of oysters raw and fried and they were all wonderful as was, surprisingly, the bacon cheeseburger. Would definitely go again. Seems to be a very popular after work spot."

  • "Much like the two other Boston restaurants opened up by this same group (Eastern Standard, Island Creek Oyster House), Row 34 is a fantastic place a seafood lover with a sophisticated palate. We were greeted with absolutely top notch service from the moment we walked in the (unmarked) door. Considering the totally reasonable price point of the establishment, the friendly staff plus flattering service is remarkable. And did I mention the food is fantastic? There aren't many surprises on a straightforward and somewhat limited menu, but everything was executed brilliantly. The real treat here, beyond impeccable service and delicious seafood, is the extensive and unique beer list. Go try it for yourself!"
