Diner Reviews
  • "Overall we were quite disappointed with the Easter Brunch. In our opinion the food was not up to the Rovezzi's standards and the price was outrageous. We typically love eating here but never again for Brunch. Wish we could have written a better review but that's how we felt. "

  • "Special dinner for birthday that didn't disappoint. Appetizers were excellent as were the entrees. Service was friendly and prompt. Desserts were also excellent but the coffee was very disappointing. We are huge coffee fanatics and we feel that is can make or break a meal experience. As weak as it was it still could not put a bad spin on our dining experience. We will be back and will recommend Rovezzi's to friends."

  • "Place was great! The meal was awesome and the service was great as well. We really felt at home and 1/2 way through our meal we all said we can't wait to come back. I eat out a lot in MA, CT and RI.....this restaurant nails it....they get it. No request was to small and our waitress truly new the meals and menu. Keep up the good work!"

  • "While there were a number of things we did like about Rovezzi's the loud guitar music did spoil the evening for me. The music was so loud that I found myself shouting to be heard by my date who was right across the table from me. This was not dinner music. That said, the restaurant would be nice for a date if the music was not present. The food choices are interesting and far from the standard Italian restaurant fare. Each food choice from appetizer to salad to entree is paired with a wine. I found that interesting. The waitress was pleasant and didn't rush us after we explained that we wanted to take our time over cocktails and an appetizer. That always wins extra points in my book. I would dine here again on a different night."

  • "The girls and I stopped at Rovezzi's for dinner after attending a terrific play at Stageloft, and we absolutely loved the food! We each ordered something different, and every one of us was happy with our meal. The homemade pasta was delicious, and the desserts are amazing! Would go back for sure."

  • "We enjoyed our evening out. The service was very good from all of the people. We enjoyed the Bistecca and the Gnocci. We were upstairs in a nice corner. The only thing that I could say is that it took the waiter a long time to bring things up from the downstairs. The food and wine was not timed well. Otherwise, the night was great."

  • "We had been trying to get to this restaurant for months and it was worth the wait! The wait staff was friendly and efficient. When the waitress welcomed us and learned it was our first visit, she brought to our table a lovely and delicious array of appetizers, compliments of the chef! The bread and olive oil is wonderful, but don't fill up because you won't want to stop eating the delicious entrees and dessert. The best Italian food I have found in a restaurant. The only negative was the very limited parking."

  • "My girlfriend and I recently had dinner here to celebrate her birthday. Neither of us were disappointed with our experience. Everything from the service to our meals was amazing. They saw on the OpenTable reservation that this was my first time there so they sent over a nice sampling of cured Italian meats, cheese, roasted peppers and toasted bread. Very nice surprise! Chef Chris came over to our table to say hello and thank us for joining them for dinner. Our server Alexis was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing! I had the filet special, which was topped with ricotta cheese and crabmeat and my girlfriend had the swordfish. Both were delicious as we shared a few bites! We will definitely be going back!"

  • "My husband and I had heard how wonderful Rovezzi's is and now we know first hand! We stopped in to celebrate after closing on a piece of property we had just bought to build our dream home. The owner actually came over and thanked us for joining them for dinner. He had seen from the Open Table reservation that this was our first time visiting. I thought it was a really nice touch. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! Butter-braised kale came with my entrée and it was delicious! My husband I both enjoyed our meals. We will definitely go back."

  • "Rovezzi's is one of our favorite restaurants and this was not our first, nor will it be our last, visit there. A little pricy but nice for a special occasion. We haven't had an unsatisfactory meal there in all the times we've gone. Only downside is there is seating both upstairs and downstairs but the upstairs is not handicap accessible, so if making reservations and this is an issue, you must request to be seated downstairs. Once went to a party there which was upstairs and a couple guests had a difficult time climbing stairs, and one had to be carried up, much to her embarrassment."

  • "Always enjoy the food. We were sat upstairs in a 2 seater table close to the stairs and services station. This was annoying as staff and other Patrons would bump into our chair. Other than that always, always great food."

  • "We had a wonderful evening from start to finish. Our waiter was very attentive but not too hovering. We had an excellent meal with delicious wine. We were treated like we were special, even though the restaurant was quite busy and our waiter had his share of work to do. We were not rushed at all. Quite lovely right to the end of our cappuccino."

  • "went there for valentines day. the scallops were awesome. but the atmosphere was more suited to happy hour than a romantic dinner. very loud."

  • "We are regulars at Rovezzi's because it has always been a great experience to eat there -- until this time. I requested a table "not near a door and not along a major thoroughfare" (my wife is hearing impaired). I had in mind the upstairs dining room ( I even said "Maybe upstairs?" in my reservation request). When we arrived, we were ushered to a cold, dimly lit room -- probably a function room. It was so cold my mother had to put on her scarf. The only other party in that room wore coats and left soon after we arrived. We could see the brightly lit dining room in the distance, but we were not a part of it. Service was slow because the wait staff was paying attention to the dining room, not the isolated party in the function room."

  • "My boyfriend and I made reservations here for a late Valentine's Day dinner as we received a gift certificate from family. Our server was very friendly and attentive, as well as helpful with our special requests. I ordered the Pollo Parmigano with grilled chicken rather than hand breaded, and it was fantastic. The sauce was delightful! This is truly one of my favorite spots to dine for a nice romantic dinner."

  • "This was my third time at Rovezzi's. Last time was for a dinner where the owner introduced the group to many Vermouths. Before this dinner, the bartender had no idea what we were talking about when we tried to figure out what the pre-dinner drink had been. Had no suggestions. The service this time was mediocre at best and my swordfish was dried out. My friend's dinner seemed better than mine. Dessert was very good. This was our Valentine's dinner. Frankly I was disappointed based on my previous visits."

  • "The soft lighting and quiet atmosphere upstairs were perfect for a romantic dinner for two. The soup, salads and entrees were delicious. The service was a little slow. Our desserts were a long time in coming. So much so that our cappuccinos were lukewarm and my cake was a bit dry. Other than that, it was a totally enjoyable experience and we will definitely return."

  • "As with most middling restaurants the appetizers are the high point the arancini, ok and Burrata excellent. Then the decent - a Caesar's salad had croutons that tasted like turkey stuffing, a dressing without a hint of lemon but a strong taste of mayonnaise and anchovies of the washed up on the beach variety that makes people hate anchovies. I had a seafood ravioli in an absolutely terrible cream sauce and my partner's prime rib was awash with an insipid blue cheese smear. The wine a curiously tasteless $95 Brunello that made you long for a California anything at a reasonable price. Of course it was Valentine's day which should have been an opportunity to show what the kitchen could do. I guess it did. Volturno in Worcester is far better."

  • "My family had been a big fan of Chef Chris Rovezzi from a past Worcester's Best Chef Competition. Our first restaurant experience was outstanding; from the appetizer to the dessert, simply amazing. This past Friday night we went back and at first, I found the valet staff to be rude; the walkway was barely shoveled and extremely slippery. Our waitress was friendly, but the food was bland at best, having ordered the same appetizers that had previously been so delicious. Our main courses were quite flavorless. For the prices they charge, I have to say we were extremely disappointed this time around, Chef Chris. I don't know if you were on vacation, and had another man in your kitchen, but we were a pair of dissatisfied customers."

  • "I frequently visit this fantastic restaurant and I have never had a bad meal or experience. You can't go wrong no matter what you come for; special occasion, date night, appetizers and drinks etc.. Love the atmosphere ! You never feel rushed and servers are always very knowledgeable. Food is delicious, the menu changes seasonally, HOMEMADE pasta and they always have the freshest, local ingredients. Best restaurant in town !"

  • "Great mix of flavors and variety in the selections at Rovezzi's. But each time I go there I wonder why the entrees are never served "hot" but only lukewarm......"

  • "Enjoyed a nice quiet evening with my husband as one of our last date nights pre-baby. Staff was very friendly and observant, ensuring that my water glass was always full, accomodating food requests and ensuring empty plates were removed in a timely manner. I chose my typical meal of lobster tortolloni which arrived with jumbo shrimp and perfectly cookes scallops and my husband went for a BBQ filet on special which was cooked perfectly and had a wonderful yet not overpowering flavor."

  • "Brought my husband here for a birthday dinner. Loved the valet parking, the atmosphere, old wooden beam-style architecture, and even the bottle of Pellegrino waiting on the table. The complementary bread served was delicious, as was the caprese salad I ordered. However, I felt the menu was a bit small and I wished there were more vegetarian options on the menu. My husband ordered the filet and was pleased with it and the sweet potato that came with it.Overall, we were pleased and wold return again to try new items on the menu."

  • "Nice place for a date or date night, friendly from the moment you walk towards the doors. Great wine selection, along with dinner specials and the menu is outstanding! Service was good for us, but in the friendly atmosphere, was made aware not so great with the people next to us?? Oh well, cant please everyone all the time."

  • "Reservations were easily made - and altered to add more people. Were seated immediately. Food was FANTASTIC! We had lasagna, fettucinin (with lobster, crab, scallops,) duck, and sea bass. All were excellent. Service was fast and friendly. A little pricey, but the food was well worth it. Even the bread was something to write home about. Would highly recommend thias place. Would be lovely for a romantic evening."

  • "The food was outstanding! They had something on the appetizer menu called "in the hands of the chef". Not even the waitress knows what it will be until they bring it out and if you order two it will be something different! They also had the best bread ever! I'm not huge on bread but there's was amazing."

  • "A New Year's Eve hit! The new menu was terrific with a wonderful variety that had something for everyone and dishes were paired with wine suggestions to make ordering the right wine easy. The bartender mixed a great drink and the expanded bar was really hopping. Service was friendly and attentive. The evening was a huge success. Thank you Chris and staff. We'll be back very soon."

  • "We were held up in traffic but accommodated without issue. Bread was excellent Arugula salad with nuts and pears wonderful Tenderloin steak tender, delicious and cooked just as we requested Dessert was a wonderful pumpkin cheesecake We split the above between the two of us and felt like we had had the right amount of food. There was no problem with us splitting the meal."
