Route 66 Smokehouse opened in the Fall of 2013 on the historic Stone Street in NYC’s Financial District. It is the only establishment in the neighborhood offering authentic localized American cuisine. Chef Billy Kooper’s menu features unique twists on beloved barbecue and Americana recipes with a strong emphasis on hand-selected ingredients from artisanal vendors. The theme continues on the beverage side, with an All-American Whiskey list comprised of an array of highly allocated Bourbons, Ryes and Whiskeys, served by the ounce or two ounce. On tap is a strictly 100% craft beer menu, and the cocktail list features libations inspired by landmarks along the restaurant’s namesake, such as: Amboy Crater, Whale of Catoosa, and Tucumcari, N.M. The restaurant’s décor reflects the hometown comfort and rugged charm of the famous road that inspired its name.

I made dinner reservations here to celebrate my birthday with some friends. There was great service and the food was tasty. I would go back to eat there again.

The game area upstairs was really fun and the drinks were really good! However, the food was not that great. First off due to the lack of writing our orders down, the waitress gave me the wrong side and claimed that I never said that which was totally untrue. The meal was overall not that great but its a cool place. Would return for the games and drinks only.

This was a great find. My wife and I took a ride to South Street Seaport and had to park far away. On our walk around we came a across an area full of fans watching the womans soccer game. What a great place to find here, delicious food, great ambience, and great drinks. Great find.

The Ribs, Chicken wings and fries were very good. The oyster Po'boy was very disappointing lacked seasoning and flavour the batter was not crispy. The Po'boy was a real let down as the rest of the food was very good as were the cocktails, it is really not hard to make a good Po'boy. We sat outside which was fine but not a lot of atmosphere. The Service was good, efficient and functional but nothing more. Should have been asked if we need more drinks during the meal which weren't. Potential to be really good but let down by a couple of things that really are not hard to fix.

Well, for BBQ it's definitely at the bottom of my list, but the bar and beer list are not bad. They have games you can play with friends, that's one way they can draw people in. The service was friendly.
