A word from Rotisserie Georgette
The dining room combines casual comfort and sophistication with touches both rough-hewn and refined. The main attraction is the open kitchen’s rôtisserie ovens and their fine meats, poultry and fish turning over open flames. Abundant fresh vegetables, decadent potato dishes, heart-warming desserts, tempting cocktails & bites at the bar complete the picture. At lunch, we add generous main course salads and tempting pot pies, all in the spirit of Chef Chad Brauze's soul-satisfying French-American fare complemented by the warm welcome of your host, Georgette Farkas. The “ROTISSERIE TABLE” private room seats ten.

A casually elegant spot to share a juicy roast chicken or cote de boeuf, generous salad, sides of pommes frites, mushrooms and roasted carrots and finish with a delicate iles flotante. Knowledgeable and helpful service made out dining experience exceptional.

This was our second visit. This time, the service once again wowed us with great attention to detail and attentiveness. However, the hangar steak -- although soft as butter -- had an unexpected spice that was not agreeable. The hibiscus iced tea which is very good, was a bit cloying. The tarte tatin was delicious and perfect! We will return and try other dishes, as the steak underwhelmed.

I went with my mom for lunch. We both had the Poules Frites, but with rotisserie potatoes and roasted trumpet royale mushrooms instead of the frites. We each received four pieces of chicken, of which we each took home two. Everything was delicious, but most noteworthy was the upcoming dessert of tarte tatin. The pieces of apple were large and well-cooked. More than enough for two people - we couldn't stop eating it!

Rotisserie Georgette has really blossomed since its opening in the last year. It was good from the start in my opinion, however the attention of the proprietess on this nightly with staff food and detail makes all of the difference in reaching and maintaining the stars that the media has given to this establishment in such a short time.

My wife and I love the restaurant. She eats there with friends and raved so much I went once and this was my second time. That said I must comment on a rather minute matter and easy to rectify. The frites were terribly over salted. I should have sent them back, but decided to overlook this problem and remember next time and there will be many next times that I ask for no salt on the fries. I only point this out because we love your restaurant and hope you get ever more popular and fine tune any simple problem such as this. I look forward to my next meal and congratulations with your contribution to fine dining on Manhattan.

The food doesn't match the price, but the price matches the clientele. Everything we had was satisfactory, but for a rotisserie chicken place that costs 36/pp (really you can split this 3 ways), I was a bit disappointed.

Very well placed, elegant restorant. Limited menu, food good enough (service very good, decor very good), tho we thought just a bit pricy. But the location makes up for that -- they have to pay the rent on 60th Street at 5th Ave. Probably most suitable for visitors, looking for "New Yorky" place for lunch just across 5th Ave from the Plaza Hotel.

Best rotisserie chicken hands down anywhere, but very expensive for rotisserie chicken. Went for lunch with a friend and paid $27 (not incl, drinks, tax or tip) for half a chicken, fries and a small side salad (and that was one of the cheapest things on the menu!). But not surprising considering the neighborhood.

We really enjoyed Rotisserie Georgette. Georgette, herself, greeted us with genuine warmth at the door, and the service throughout the evening carried through this warmth and care. Our waiter was friendly, efficient, solicitous but unobtrusive. The room and the clientele have an uptown vibe, but the experience is saved from stuffiness by airy blue and white French tiles along the back wall framing a view of the bright kitchen. We had the famous chicken with two sauces, as well as a special poussin with Marrakech spices. Everything was very well seasoned and cooked. The poussin was a favorite - very tender. Sides were wonderful - carrots, Brussels spouts and french fries. A little expensive, but that's expected in the neighborhood.

A recent write up in the Dallas Morning News described chicken the way it "tastes in your dreams" and I have to agree. I know people that say they won't order chicken in restaurants, but this place will change their minds. Along with sides such as glazed carrots and french fries, simple ingredients are elevated and presented at their best. We stopped in for a late lunch and wished we had more time to linger with a glass of wine or a dessert. Next time we'll make sure the calendar allows for a more relaxed meal.

We enjoyed a perfectly delicious and delightful dinner to celebrate my birthday. The hostess took note of my husband's request for a more private table; and the energetic and enthusiastic waiter took us through the menu and faciltated the ordering process. The delicious dishes arrived in a timely manner, and the dinner was topped off by a candle in our shared dessert with my name in chocolate decorating the plate. I can't wait to celebrate another special occasion at Rotisserie Georgette.

We will be coming back. Signature rotisserie chicken was great. Must have rotisserie potatoes. A friend ordered the baby Brussels sprouts. I usually would never eat brussel sprouts, I tasted them, they were the best vegatable I ever ate. All the ice creams are home made, I had the pistachio cream, it was fantastic. Great wine options as well.

Excellent chicken (tried several sauces--classic sauce provençale is best), even better rotisserie potatoes. I almost never order chicken when dining out, as making a good roast chicken at home isn't difficult. However, the one at Rôtisserie G is really great: perfectly cooked and seasoned, nicely carved--and the rotisserie potatoes were a highlight (be prepared for mega calories). If the tarte tatin is on offer, don't miss it: not overly sweet, served with a nice dollop of crême fraiche. It can feed 3-4 people.

On my way home from ocean city maryland myself and my wife were really in the mood for a roasted 1/2 chicken and we came across your place on yelp, the place looked nice came across a few good reviews so we decided to try it. I'm sure you have plenty of good food but unfortunately our roasted chicken was really dry, it was horrible I myself would have never thought a place such as yours would ever serve such dry chicken.

My friend and I had lunch prior to a Saturday matinee. I had read a favorable review in the New Yorker magazine. We both had the Poulet Frites because we like chicken and felt that this would be the best dish on the menu - were we wrong! The chicken was mediocre (and salty) and the French fries were so over-salted that we had to send them back. There was no salt or pepper on the table, so I guess they know that its never needed. The accompanying salad was just a handful of mixed greens (that you can get out of bag) with a little light tasteless dressing. Even the bread was poor. This dish was $29. The service and ambiance were very good, so my overall rating is for food.

Having read about the new opening of Rotisserie Georgette in the New Yorker, we decided to try it out for lunch because we were staying close to the hotel! Everything was excellent!! The chicken and the potatoes were over the top! Wonderful and flavorful and done to perfection. The service was excellent and if you go at lunch and want to try their tart tatin, you need to request it in advance because it normally just is on the evening menu. We missed out but saw it served and it looked spectacular!
