  • "49.99 a person included a very extensive (and delicious) buffet, 1 "bar drink" , coffee or tea. My husband and I loved everything we ate. Come with a huge appetite so you can enjoy cold lobster tails, sushi, and fish. My husband loved the carving table. I was too full to have an omelette made! There were quiches and various cheeses, as well as bagels and rolls. Of course there was dessert. 18% is added to your bill for gratuity. I hope this is for the bus staff who keep ;your tables free of dirty dishes. The waiter didn't do much. After he brought my Bloody Mary, it was hard to find him for coffee."

  • "Our server was fair at best but when we were told we needed to call the office the following day to have our Rothman's privilege card credit of $50.00 taken off our bill I asked to see a Manager. The Manager told us the same thing and explained that we needed to earn 15,000 points to obtain the credit. I had to explain the program to the manager and when he did not agree, I had to show him their own website and verbiage of their rewards program. We received our credit but after much deliberation which is totally unacceptable."

  • "Last time I was there was some 10+ years ago and not much has changed - which is GREAT! Salads were served on a cold plate, crisp and tasty. My T-Bone was cooked to perfection and my girlfriend's skirt steak was savory by the bite! The waiter treated us like we were special and there for our every need. He even asked the Chef to do me a favor and I got a first at Rothmann's... truffle mashed potatoes!! FANTASTIC! Our overall meal was just delightful. No room for dessert however! Perfect charbroiled/aged steaks are my favorite and Rothmann's delivered as I remembered!!"

  • "We sat at the bar waiting for our reservation and were treated VERY well by the bartender she was very attentive. Dinner was very mixed, our lobster tail was overcooked, the porterhouse steak was delicious but the hash browns were so burned they were inedible. The sundae for dessert with the cooked bananas was a little disappointing, the ice cream tasted weird and it was a bit of a mess. Our waiter frequently was no where to be found. All this being said we would give it another chance."

My wife and I were practically yelling in order to hear one another, even the waiter was frustrated with the piercing noise. Definately NOT what we expected for a $275 "romantic" dinner."

  • "Rothmans East Norwich L.I is a great place to go for a steak dinner. I have been there several times over the years and have never been disappointed. The staff is extremely attentive to your every need and the food is superb. To sum it up great food, attentive staff time after time. What more could you want. Every time I have been there you are always greeted with a smile and made to feel right at home. I highly recommend this establishment if you are looking for a relaxing enjoyable dining experience."

  • "My husband and I have been coming to Rothmans for years. We consider it our restaurant for when we want a date night. We usually sit at the bar at first to get a drink and have homemade chips. When we decide to sit down, the wait staff Is always friendly. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Our personal favorites, five onion soup, porterhouse for two, and their Potato Croquettes (these are amazing). We usually go around 6 o'clock ( the later it gets, the noisier it can get!)"

The restaurant is huge, we walked through one room to get to another room. The service was great and the food was amazing. i am already trying to plan another night out so we can go back!   • "This particular night was a special birthday dinner for my son. My family and I have been to Rothman's twice before and enjoyed ourselves. This was the first time all the arrangements were left up to me. It was so easy to make reservations on the computer. When I spoke with Carol on the phone, she was very accommodating, even though I asked quite a few questions. She greeted me like we were old friends when we came to the restaurant.She even had "Happy 30th Birthday Dennis" printed on top of the banquet menu, which was a nice touch. Louis was our waiter, and was kind, patient, and smiling. Even with my 88 year old mother who always tries to have it her own way! We had a very good time and it was a memorable evening. Thank you"

  • "My girlfriend and I went to Rothmann's for Valentine's Day and had a great time. Everything was great and the Porterhouse for 2 was amazing! So tender and juicy, I think I liked it better than Peter Luger's. I usually never order dessert but I saw everyone elses around us coming out and I had to try something. I ordered the dessert offered on the specials and it was extremely delicious, I actually wanted a second dessert after but couldn't fit it. Overall, I was very pleased and will definitely return."

  • "I dined there with my wife on the Sunday after V-Day. I have been here before and it was always good but this day not so much. It seemed like we got the leftovers from the holiday. I ordered the Kung Pow calamari and it was not good. Very rubbery and hard to chew. One would think someone would ask if everything was ok, since I had left 3/4's of the appetizer. Also my steak was not up to par. I always get the Ribeye when I'm at a steakhouse. I understand that it is typically a fattier steak and I'm ok with that. The menu said a boneless 20oz ribeye, it was 12 oz at best. It was very thin and small and I have had better there before. My wife's meal was good so that was a plus. I will dine there again because anyone can have a bad day. :)"

  • "Was just here with the lady for valentines day and I must say, it was amazing. The place looked and smelled wonderful as soon as we got in the door. The bar selection was vast, I'm a big drinker and hadn't seen a lot of the liquor they had. The wait was a bit long even with reservations, but that was to be expected for the day. Waiter was top notch, glass never went empty, and he checked on us a good amount. We ordered the filet mignon and both were perfect. I go to quite a few steak houses and this was by far the best."

  • "It's been a while since I've been to Rothmann's and it shouldn't have been this long. Stepping into their remodeled bar area was a treat as it's got an updated look but still holds the charm that it has for years. Gerry the bartender is still at the top of his game and pours a mean drink. Once seated in one of their premium booths the dining experience is as professional as it's been for years. The staff is knowledgable, friendly and the timing of the food is just perfect. I noticed some new presentations and the addition of sushi to the menu. I guess they have to keep up with the Jones's and do the sushi thing to stay relevant. The porterhouse was cooked to perfection. All in all a great time had by all.Thanks Rothmann's still king!"

  • "We have driven past Rothmann's many times so I took my fiancee there for an early Valentine's Dinner. It was a great experience. The crab cake appetizer was delicious and served in an ample portion. Our main courses were ostrich and filet mignon, both excellent. You have to try the truffle fries with parmesian cheese! The cheesecake was the best I have ever tasted. The staff is very attentive."

The wines by the glass have improved over the years to a broad selection from around the world, and there are some reasonable wines by the bottle that are of high quality as well. For those with larger budgets, it's worth becoming a regular there. For others, make it a once-a-month destination for a special occasion."

Brunch comes with a brunch drink of your choice (bellini, mimosa or bloody mary) and if you're looking for more it's $5 per additional or for $10 more you can have unlimited drinks. We loved the setup, it was a nicer buffet setup and it was nice to walk throughout and get what looked tasty, which was about everything. I did not get to try the pancake/waffle station but it looked delicious. The omelette station as quite popular but never really any lines. Great seafood, lobster was fresh as were the raw oysters. Great sushi and sashimi options as well. And you can end your brunch with tasty tiny desserts and a chocolate fountain. Bring your appetite."
